Our experience was as a buyer of a property these were marketing. We made an offer which was agreed verbally by the buyer. We submitted our financial documents for verification within 24 hours to be then told that this needed verification by a Director. The communications made it clear (email and verbally) that the property would stay on the market until the Director had verified everything and this might take a couple of days. This was a Thursday. So we waited……property still on the market……chased several times, our own estate agent chased……the seller of the property chased but these guys just had no urgency and made us wait a weekend not knowing if our offer was going to be formally accepted. Finally at close of business on Monday, 4 days later, the Director decided she was going to do 5 minutes of work and verified our financials and the property was taken off the market.<br><br>This didn’t feel like we were valued as a buyer at all. When we chased the verification we felt like we were being an inconvenience.<br><br>By comparison when we sold our own property our estate agent verified our buyers financials in one day. So it can be done if they wanted to make the process easier and less stressful for their buyers.

What a great team! Nothing too much trouble, and always a smile on their faces. City and County in Crowland enabled us to achieve our dream of emigrating to South Africa by selling our property in Gedney Hill, advising all along the way, sometimes on matters not in their remit but they helped anyway. I contacted a few estate agents to value my house and whilst the valualtions and fees were similar City & County stood out for me becuase of the branch manager Mike. His market knowledge and understanding of what my parents and I wanted to do made the decsion easy. Both properties were marketed and sold really quickly, when we had a few issues in the process Mike was calm and knew exactly what to do to make sure we stayed on track. Having bought and sold 7 properties in 10 years, this company is the worst I have dealt with. I’m disappointed in them telling untruths as well as the multiple failings this company has shown me. Estate agents have a bad name because of companies like this. One woman in particular needs to learn the meaning of customer service - I think her name is Claire. Their sales progression lady, Jacqui, only works two days so it is incredibly slow and frustrating to get updates on the sale, especially when things are moving swiftly. Sales progression is so important and this company just doesn’t do it well enough.<br><br>Overall, I’m really disappointed and feel let down by this company.

Unfortunately our experience with this estate agents, who we were attempting to buy our new home through does not compare with the other reviews here I have read. I must state that I would rather not write a negative review about anyone , but we feel that the service which included keeping us updated and helping us get towards completion of our purchase was practically non existent, to the point that we stopped trying to get anywhere with them and bypassed there services completely.<br>We understand that the seller who was a builder, building the new build was evasive and difficult to get to turn up on the project to complete it, but the total lack of consideration from city and county was appalling, considering we where trying to buy something that they where selling.<br>Moving home is a very stressful time without having to deal with the complacency that we dealt with. In the end we pulled out of the purchase, that perhaps with the help and support of the agents that we expected, might not have been the case . They where the polar opposite of the agents newton Fallowell that we where using to sell our home, who where keeping everyone updated including the buyers of our home regularly. Because we felt they cared and unfortunately we did not feel the same about city and county, in fact they made me feel like a pain when I was chasing for updates. So unfortunately we felt there service was so shocking that it warrants this review.<br>The one star is for Will, who we would like to disassociate from this review.

Good interest was generated in the first instance and the property sold within a few days. Through no fault of anyone's the first sale fell through, but the response from the team following this was exemplary, and they managed to generate a great deal of interest in the property once more, culminating in a sale to an excellent buyer. In all the house sold twice, within a few short days of going onto the market each time. When I decided to sell my house in Crowland, I invited 2 agents to value and discuss the sale with. When Mike came from City and County he was incredibly professional and clearly knew his market and industry inside out. Mikes confidence that he would sell my house was the reason I chose to use them exclusively. Will arranged and accompanied all the viewings at a time when other agents I wanted to buy through wouldn’t leave the office. He was just as professional and easy to deal with as Mike, the fact he came to see the house on his own to get to know it before bringing people around really impressed me. My confidence and indeed Mike’s confidence in their ability to sell the house were spot on, 3 weeks after signing the agreement I accepted an offer for the full asking price. I then got to deal with the fantastic trio of Susan, Fiona and Jacqui who saw everything through to completion! This sale was as smooth and hassle free as I could have hoped for.
