They overpriced it. We kept dropping the price (3 times in the 6 months we were tied in with them). We dropped the price by £125K in total - still zero interest. We didn't have a single viewing. When we told them the 6 months were up and we were going with someone else, they still had the nerve to ask for 2 weeks notice; and they didn't take the for sale sign down till after the 28 weeks.

Shocking service, refuses to call back agents and advisors. Nearly lost the sale they took so long. Luckily another solicitor sorted out the carnage caused by these people. Terrible service, go elsewhere

When I got my mortgage, the basic bank valuation of the property stated no serious issues with the property. But at the last moment, this legal and estate firm (who was chosen by the sellers, not myself) told me that a damp course assessment needed doing, and sorted out a firm to come and do that, claiming that the mortgage lender stipulated that it needed doing, even though the banks own assesment made absolutely no reference whatsoever regarding this. Methinks this solicitors are dodgy and took upon themselves to get some work for a friend of theirs, seeing as it was these shyters who chose the damp proofing firm.
Another thing which struck me, if it was mandated by the bank as claimed by CS&B, how was it I was able to disregard some of the damp course work recommended by Taylor's (the name of the damp course firm) for the entire kitchen? Either the work had to be done, or it didn't? Very suspect. In my entire life thus far, other than my mortgage, I've never dealt with solicitors. And yet it seems in my own limited dealings with them, they're the money grubbing shyters they're stereotyped to be.
