They were efficient and responsive managing the rental and our tenants spoke highly of them. Julian and his colleagues were a pleasure to deal with. He showed me the flat I ended up purchasing before it had even gone on the market so I was able to make an offer which was accepted and I did not have to compete with other bidders. The seller was happy with this. Julian replied to all of my many emails immediately and always answered all calls I made. He also let me do a viewing of the flat at short notice. I would highly recommend him as a estate agent.

Compton Reeback are the best estate agents I've ever come across. Warm, friendly, helpful and so so professional! I've lived in St Johns Wood for years, and other managing agents have been just the opposite. They never cared about flat owners. I've dealt with Brian Compton for years and feel as if they are part of my family. So many times in the middle of the night has he come to fix an alarm. Altogether charming and extremely professional. I've been renting from them for 15 years, and count myself so lucky to have them as managing agents. Fast forward 6 years later and they've raised the bar even higher!
Having looked with both independent and Coperate estate agents, I can honestly say that Compton Reeback are the benchmark.
In addition to exceptional customer service, they have been responsive, transparent, kind, professional, and so personalised.
Their attention to detail makes them the pinnacle for high living standards hence our 6 year tenancy which we would have easily continued if we were not planning to buy...I think its pretty obvious who our first choice will be!

Flat hunt in London can be very frustrating and we felt it ourselves many times. It struck me when recently searching for a property to rent in Maida Vale that agents generally don't have a clue what clients need - they often don't call you back and they don't seem to want to get to know your needs. Compton Reeback though have got it nailed. Dealing with Sam in particular was so easy - he gets back to you very quickly with any questions you have and he's pro-active when it comes to letting you know about new properties that have come on the market. I could not possibly recommend Compton Reeback more highly. Genuinely astounded at how incredible their service has been. Right the way through from Sam and Gael taking me to viewings, with relatability, honesty and ease, to Brian now being the most incredibly helpful agent managing the apartment. Back at university in Birmingham I had what I believed to be a pretty standard (disappointing) landlord experience, but now I understand what the rental experience CAN be like. An experience of respect and trust, one in which the agent replies super quick to emails and requests and can have a serviceman round the very next day, a service in which they really CARE about your living situation and any issues you face and a company which are just generally lovely, sound people. Renting in London can be very stressful, with navigating all the utility/travel costs and coming to such a new, big city, and you won't realise how helpful a caring estate agent is until you experience Compton. Julian and Mark are 'old school' estate agents, honest and full of integrity.. They are reliable, courteous and professional at all times. Their knowledge of the local housing market is second to none. Very disappointed, the service is a nightmare, there were bunch of problems with the flat and they promised to sort it out before I move in. And yet the tendency starts a week ago I was still not able to move in! I was told I have to pay 6 months upfront rent to get the flat, I trusted them and did it and here is what I've got! Zoe is being ridiculously slow on responding emails and kept ignoring my calls. Every time I called to the office she was "busy" and "will call me back". Sam is someone who showed me the flat and at the begining he promised the flat is newly furbished but turns out there were black moulds at the corner and the floor is heavily worn which was not mentioned at all at the beginning! The gas hob is not working and then I went to check it just today the lock is broken I can not even get in the flat! I certainly regarded my decision and I will never recommend anyone here! I was so stupid paid that much of money by trusting their professionally!

I'm writing this review, even though we didn't pursue our purchase via this agency, as I was very impressed with Mark Whapham. After searching via Rightmove, my husband and I met many agents and Mark stands above the crowd as deeply informed about the properties he's representing, the building where they reside, the street of their location, and the neighborhood. He is also very respectful during a viewing allowing you to experience bits on your own and discover the key elements. I would have loved to pursue a purchase with him in the process as his professional demeanor is a godsend.

Compton Reeback is a great agency for Landlord , but never go there if you want to rent a property! They're all 100% with the Landlord, and will not give credit to what you have to say. We waited two weeks to have hot water fixed and we had to pay the plumber! But this was okay, no the worst is at the end of the tenancy when they tried to "forced us" to stay in the property for two months more, by allowing us only 2 moving out dates. ( Ultimatum ).
I ve lived in many cities around Europe, and never saw an agency trying to force you to stay.
Had a terrible experience there as a tenant, but I suppose all landlord are very pleased with the agency, as they are not paying for plumbing issues and as the agency makes ultimatum to tenant so they stay longer. This is just power abuse toward young europeans people who are going to go elsewhere if they are not welcome in London.

A few weeks into looking for a place in London, I stumbled upon Compton Reeback, and I am so glad I did. One of the agents, Sam, was always timely with his emails, confirmed certain details of my requests prior to move in, and checked in with me to ensure I was happy to the agreement. Keeping in mind that I had a horrible experience with another high-volume property management company, my view on these management firms has changed a bit since negotiating and working with CRE. Another agent, Brian, made sure to be in the office a bit earlier than opening so I was able to sign off documents, collect keys on my move in day, and advised on some additional works (I hadn't requested) were performed on the property. They took the time to check in, see if I had questions, or any issues before/after move in. That is the type of personal touch I appreciate, especially since finding, negotiating, and relocating isn't the easiest thing to do in London.
Would HIGHLY recommend using them as opposed to some of the large, churning-through-clients agencies.

I met ed Bloom at Compton Reeback on the fist day of visit, while he showed some flexibility in his agenda to meet me he also tried hard to meet my criteria’s... I had 2 other days of visit and Ed Bloom called me the end of the fist day to say we must see another flat, he was absolutely right, not only the flat was absolutely amazing facing a park (easy for joggers) but he then supported my application helped in finding a parking place and is always keep to provide advises on neighborhood.
If you looking around Maida Vale you won’t be short of agent but if you want a reliable, trustworthy and efficient one, I fully recommend Compton Reeback!

The team at Compton Reeback were highly effective, professional, honest and efficient. They had my flat listed very quickly and prospective tenants through the door almost immediately. They took the time to understand what sort of tenants I was looking for, advised on the correct price, and in short order my flat in W9 was let to a lovely professional couple who I have faith will look after the place and treat it well.

If you are searching for a house/flat around Maida Vale then Compton Reeback is the BEST option for you. They were so helpful and patient with me and my flatmates, we all come from abroad and Ed (our agent) was always keen and happy to help us with our doubts and enquires. He worked out the time difference perfectly and he even made us a couple of extremely useful videos of the flat and the area (as we were abroad, this was our only way to see the flat). I have been a landlord with Compton Reeback for over 15 years . They are very knowledgeable in their field and find great tenants. My tenants tend to stay a number of years (fortunately) but recently I had to re-let and it took a total of 3 weeks . They answer queries very quickly sort paperwork efficiency and cover all the legal requirements. I feel my property is well looked after and I am confident it is in good hands . I've been very positively surprised how supportive the whole team was. They spent with me quite some time during my May apartment search and fully supported me during the contracting period when I was not easily accessible. My wife and I had just returned from a five year stint in Manhattan and we were homeless! A ship with all of our possessions had set sail from the Americas and we had nowhere to direct its content. The stress levels where stratospheric.

Calm and reassuringly knowledgable, she guided us to a number of properties that suited our needs perfectly. We settled on one very quickly and, once again, Shaheen was on hand every step of the way during the laborious lease process (one made more complex by our repatriation).

To echo another reviewer (although this is my own review !), I would highly recommend Glen as someone to deal with in relation to a property transaction. He was unfailingly, professional; that is to say efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and had excellent communication skills. He helped the transaction along very efficiently by promptly passing on messages between seller and buyer and making his own constructive suggestions on the way. I have with dealt with CR both as a prospecting owner and as a tenant. Have met with the owners a few times and have worked with Mark and Shaheen for a flat purchase and as a tenant.
The whole team has dealt with us with professionalism and integrity throughout our search and tenancy. It is probably the only estate agent I fully trust and would recommend anyone who whishes to buy in the area to go to them. As a tenant they were really quick to respond and very accommodating. Most honest agents I have ever come across in the UK who know their neighbourhood. These guys look after your interests and make sure your property is very well looked after. They have been managing our property and letting it with such efficiency that we almost forget we have it.
