I'm very happy to share my experiences with others.  Mark and his team at David Evans, Lesley and Anne Marie, have been quite excellent.  They are personable. knowledgeable and effective.  Mark has immense local knowledge and is highly proactive.  I trust him implicitly.  If I needed to know something or get something done, Mark was the man!  Number one of course is that they sold my house in what were challenging circumstances.  I didn't know that I would feel that an estate agent would seem a friend as well as someone managing my affairs but I do.  They are all highly recommended and set standards that all estate agents should follow!  And they are still very happy to talk to me now even though the house has been sold.  In other words, their after-sales protocols are equally impressive.

Mark was a huge help and support through the purchase of our house here in Plumstead. We were moving from Surrey, and so often needed to see the house out of normal hours or were not able to be there ourselves to meet tradesmen coming to assess the property. Mark would always help us out and make this possible.

Having dealt with Mark Sallnow of David Evans we have found him to be excellent in providing help and assistance in selling our home.
He kept us informed and really kept his word in carrying out all of the things he said he would when we first met him.
I fell ill during the process and Mark did all he could to reassure my wife all would be well and to provide names of people who could assist in the move if I was incapacitated for any period.
A really decent guy, we couldn't recommend Mark or David Evans & Co enough.

Reporting to the ombudsman.  Unfortunately the rating system forces me to give 1 star.  I can only assume that the other reviews are from friends and family.  The agency managed to list our property with the incorrect number of bedrooms, WRONG Postcode, a listing full of typos and our spare bedroom as the lead photo online.  Absolutely zero  attention to detail, sloppy and totally lazy.  They didn't even chase any leads and do not have a black book of clients.

I was in fact not planning on ever using David Evans as I find their shop window displays a bit old fashioned, but when I invited Mark along to get a third quote when I was having my house valued, he made me change my mind as he seemed such a nice and decent person. So when I decided to let the house instead of selling it, he was my first choice. Even though his rental price suggestion wasn't the highest, my priority is to have long term trouble free tenants, so I went with him. He listened carefully to my brief and took his time to find the right tenant and came up trumps. He found me a brilliant set of tenants! Mark is a thoroughly decent person who works as hard for you as he would for himself. He prioritises giving excellent service and building long term relationships with people, and that is fairly rare in this business. I have been buying, selling and letting for 25 years now and Mark is the best person in the business I have ever dealt with. Thoroughly trustworthy and highly recommended!

David Evans sold my house a few months ago. David Evans just handled our flat purchase brilliantly.  It can't have been an easy experience, but throughout it all, Mark at David Evans remained calm, helpful and professional.  He listened to problems.  He gently cajoled everyone to act as sensibly as possible.  He advised about builders and windows and what sort of floor to go for.  He even advised about another transaction we were working on.  He was intelligent, patient, honest, good-humoured, and - ultimately - a bit of a gentleman.  I couldn't recommend them enough.
