My girlfriend has used David James twice, once five years ago when purchasing this house and now when she is selling it on. Both times have been a fantastic level of service (Natasha and Lorraine mostly on each occasion), continually updating us on all major and minor aspects of the sale. They were able to push buttons to speed the process, I would definitely recommend using them.

David James were named as agents to act in a court enforcement order to market a Jointly owned former matrimonial home after proceedings in the family court.
I was not in residency at the said property and David James were faced with a challenging scenario attempting to implement the court order. Throughout this time they conducted themselves with the utmost dignity and professionalism, in spite of their endeavors they were unable to market the property freely. The matter returned to court and David James were called as independent witnesses, in spite of the inconvenience and expense this would have caused them as a company they at no time complained or increased their original quote to sell the house to take these costs into account.
After the court took decisive action to ensure a sale could proceed unhindered, a swift sale ensued, the situation was somewhat complex and due to the delays mentioned the mortgagees had concurrently obtained a repossession order on the house, giving just 8 weeks to complete a sale, we were unable to complete in this time frame and it was largely with thanks to Lorraine at The Carlton office and her persistence in communicating with the bank's solicitors and the buyer's solicitors and moving things forward swiftly, that we were given more time to complete the sale and possession action was delayed by the bank - Lorraine went above and beyond in this matter!
The manner that David James as a company and also as individuals conducted themselves in difficult matters not of their making, whilst shouldering the responsibilities the court had bestowed upon them serves as testament and credit to them, I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking to sell to use David James as their agents.
