I told them exactly when we could view properties (as we are currently residing in another country) we planned our trip to the uk to see any properties that required in person viewings, they conveniently ignored my emails until our trip was over. They refuse to do any virtual/video viewings. Considering both me and my partner were born in England (both British citizens/residents) I have no idea what the issue is.

Our experience with this estate agent was utterly disappointing. Upon completion it soon became apparent why we received so many emails and calls as the sale was in progress, as an attempt to simply get a property off their books, regardless of what the buyer was then going to experience. The property in effect was a "pup" and had multiple major flaws that could only be uncovered once moving in. Kitchen handles falling off, light switches loose, kitchen and bathroom were not even sealed around the "key" wet areas, coupled with utterly lazy plumbing using flexi pipe when then was clear access to the pipes, just because the developer couldn't be bothered to solder joints. Then to top it all off, our lounge ceiling collapsed on day 3 of moving into the property, caused by a bathroom leak, which 2 separate expert plumbers had said had been leaking in excess of 6 months. This means both the agents and the developers were aware of such issues, yet proceeding with the sale to us. Buyers beware of any problems with a property post sale as this estate agent simply wont be interested as they have had their commission so onto the next sale.

I’ve had a lot of dealings with various estate agents over the years, and so far I couldn’t be more impressed with Doolittle and Dalley. I can’t thank the team enough for their professionalism, efforts, kindness and rapid turn around! The ladies over had contact with so far (Kristina, Hollie and Lisa) have been faultless, communication is excellent and they seem to genuinely care about their buyers and venders.

By far one of the worst Estate Agent's I have had the pleasure to work with.
You hand your notice in to leave the tenancy agreement, and then they extend the notice without your consent to try get more money out of you.
Then at the end of the tenancy upon check out they nit pick at everything to try squeeze out every drop of your deposit for the property!

Very poor customer service. Takes at too long to arrange viewings and too long for call backs. Even lied about trying to call me last week. Arranged a viewing finally, only to get there and the person that was doing the viewing had already left ??? Again no phone call to us. When we called the office, we got told that the agent is very busy. But surely the viewing lasts a good half an hour???
If you’re looking to sell, buy or rent with Dolittle then I’d suggest trying a different agent!

Purchasing a property is stressful, especially being a first time buyer however Lisa and Kristina have constantly put our minds at ease. I definitely don’t have a bad word to say about Doolittle!

I agree with most of the reviews on here; the service D&D offers is painfully slow, and I found a few of the staff pretty rude and unhelpful.
We inquired to view a property that was for rent, which I found on Right Move, and when I called up to ask about it, the lady turned around and said if we can offer you a viewing, you'll hear from us and wouldn't talk to me about the property.
Two weeks passed, and I received an email to view the house, which we attended. The lady at the viewing was nice enough but told us to contact the office if we were interested, and wouldn't engage in a conversation; except we overheard her talking to the previous person viewing the house, and it pretty much sounded like the deal had already been sealed between them, which is rather annoying as they just wasted our time.
The house was nice, and we were seriously interested in the property. I called straight after to advise we would like to proceed, and I was told a telephone interview would happen the following Tuesday. This then got cancelled a few hours later, and despite chasing the office several times, I was told that a telephone interview wasn't guaranteed due to the vast interest in the property and that the property manager wasn't available.
We've since viewed another house with another estate agent, signed a contract, and are moving in, which was all done and agreed to in less than a week. Funnily enough the house we viewed is still showing available!
I would honestly not waste your time with this company. While I appreciate that you have a lot of interest in lettings, simple manners and basic communication is key.

Worst estate agents to go through, not helpful at all.. rude to new customers and look like they have no intention of actually helping anyone. Saying if you have pets they won't help even though every property I looked at on their website said nothing about pets not being allowed. I think they need to retrain staff on how to speak and deal with people.

Avoid. There is a reason for all of the 1 star reviews. Waited almost 4 weeks for a viewing to be arranged. Lower level staff were helpful and insisted it was possible. However, the Lettings and Property Manager intervened and decided to not provide a viewing. When asked why she noted that our application was indeed acceptable, but there were many applications, and she had to order by priority. The example she gave was that she decides if a property is suitable for children, and if she feels it is not then all applications with children get put last. She insisted that there is some kind of guidance, from which the suitable applications then got priority. However, she would not divulge exactly how this is decided by herself. Our family rents a significant amount of property immediately in the area, and so the only reasoning we have to go off is that we did not receive a viewing because of her comments about children. She absolutely insisted that this was not factored into her decision, and yet she had used it as an example of how she decides who views which property.
The lady was so utterly rude I reported the situation to my local MP, who actually acknowledged the situation and wrote back! Now have an ongoing dialogue and am considering taking things further. Regardless of peoples experience and expertise, there comes a time where a member of staff clearly needs to be replaced for someone pleasant, helpful, honest, and transparent. These are all key tenants that someone in a position of seniority should embody, particularly within a letting agent. It does not stand right that a Property Manager's opinion on a house determines who gets a viewing, especially when families with children are spoken about in such a negative context. Quite simply shocking.

We initially used Doolittle to manage a rental property for us, they did this professionally and made the process very easy for us first time landlords. We then decided to sell the property and used Doolittle and Dalley to market the property and undertake viewings for us. The whole process was simple, efficient and the service was great. Bought a house and Doolittle and Dally were the agents. It was an absolute pleasure. From the moment our offer was accepted they kept us informed and maintained a positive connection between us and their sellers. Louisa is an absolute diamond. She was even proactive in chasing our solicitors for things. I would say that she went above and beyond. Amazing! Then to top it all off, we went to collect the keys from the agent and was greeted so warmly in the office and given a lovely new home hamper. It was unexpected but sooooo lovely. We even had a hand written card welcoming us to our new home. I recommend this agent 100%. Thank you for making our experience a pleasurable one. Also pop over for a coffee if your in the area. You know where we are. The home with the odd furry hairy carpet!

Any time I called all of the staff couldn't have been more helpful and even when I felt I was being a nuisance they were all very sweet and would do anything to try and help or provide reassurance. Recently rented a commercial unit via D&D. The staff are always very friendly on the phone and extremely helpful even with last minute requests. I’d like to give huge shout out to Alex Webb who was very responsive and helped get me into my unit super fast. Currently offering on a property with them and same can be said for the property team also it’s been a very pleasant experience.

I had viewed a property with this agency and I immediately put in an application. I guess the landlord wanted more applications so I had to wait over a week and half for a response. I called three days in a row to find out the status and till today which is three weeks gone I have not heard anything. The property since got reduced in price and someone else has moved in. It’s understandable if landlords are picky but as an agency they should have contacted me but they didn’t. At one point I called reception asking for alex who was dealing with my application and they said she will call me back later that day. I called later in the day and another receptionist says alex doesn’t work today. Horrendous service and response. It’s like they work for money and don’t care or they are racist. I cannot think of any other reason for being treated that way and I delayed many applications due to the hope of getting this. Now I have found my own place through shipways who were amazing, efficient and professional!

Absolutely useless. So unhelpful and do not return calls in a timely manner. I will never deal with again. The only agents in Kidderminster who have made renting incredibly difficult. The application form you have to fill out is rubbish and hasn’t changed since I last tried to rent a property through them 8 years ago. Could at least tweak it so there are specific boxes to write in instead of the alignment going off as soon as you type something. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Shame they have so many nice properties to rent.

Booked a viewing week in advance, arranged time off work and on morning of viewing this agency called to cancel. Seems they only like to deal with investors and not genuine people looking for a new home. So unless you are an investor use a different agency. Disgusting treatment of genuine buyers, extremely poor service - very disappointed.

Avoid Kidderminster office like the plague! Barely responds and always has a different excuse. Had a viewing with "Lesley" viewed the property and was told I was the first to view it and that it was mine. Then was promised id have a call before lunch the next day.. no call came so assumed she was busy. Then finally got called around 5pm to say i hadn't got it and that someone else had applied and got it. Was told both my application and the other person's application was fine and the landlord had just randomly chose.
"Lesley" then said she really wanted to help me and that she had other properties I could view. I agreed to this and said i could view anytime. Im still yet to hear anything from her and its now been ages.
Absolutely poor service and terrible at her job as well.

Me and partner wanted to view a property so we got in touch and filled out a form as requested. We were told soon after that they would be in touch to arrange a viewing 2 days ago and still waiting for call back. They keep commenting that they don’t know when we can view the house but using tenant living in the property as an excuse while other reputable estate agents have let us in to see the property. They are clueless about what their letting policy is and make it very complicated and off putting for people like myself. Not to mention very abrupt and never call you when they say they will. We now don’t want to view the property or look at any other properties the company has.

I rented a property Doolittle & Dalley and found them to be very friendly and helpful. At times it took a while to get a call back but we never experienced any issues. Lesley, who looked after us, was always very helpful.
After we moved out we had no issues whatsoever getting our deposit back either

I've been with them for 16 years, they have treated me with zero respect. They rarely fixed problems with the house, sometimes taking years to do a simple task. House was a mess, damp problems not mentioned. In the end they evicted us with minimal time legally allowed, they never even said why and were adamant about saying they did not have to give a reason. They were fine with making 2 disabled people go on the streets in the middle of a pandemic.
They're also really awkward when you're trying to get a reference off them for another estate agent.

DON'T HESITATE.....smile they are a surerb estate agent and they actually do what they say they are going to do. I have rented my property through them and I have sold my property through them. Would not recommend. Communication very poor. Bad organisational skills. Unprofessional. I sidestepped a landmine as realised before signing anything.

Worst lettings agents ever, full of smiles in your face but absolutely useless, reported several issues since February, 4 months ago, rang back for updates at least 20 times, still not resolved, not even one, they're forever "working on it" , stay clear of them and their properties and hopefully you'll be lucky enough to deal with people that mean business, not like here. Oh yes, the contractors, 1 came in Feb, had a look and never heard from again about the rain pooring inside on the top floor, and the other one, I had to take money out of my pocket, buy a thermometer and test a 10 years old oven, on my own, to prove it wasn't working properly, 2 months on, I'm still cooking with an oven that doesn't reach a suitable temperature for home cooking. Same story for the hob which by the way has been "approved" to be replaced in Feb as well, but I guess they must have stopped producing this model because its been out of stock since. Dissapointed is an understatement!!
