Matt Gibbs is an Outstanding Mortgage Advisor.
When my offer to purchase a house in Kidderminster was accepted in November 2023, I got in touch with Matt Gibbs to help me secure the best mortgage deal. As a lawyer, I could have shopped for mortgage deals on the high street without having to go through a mortgage broker. Engaging Matt was the best decision and I’m extremely grateful to him and his team for all their support.
I have been exceptionally impressed with Matt for several reasons. When I first contacted Matt, he said he would get me the best mortgage deal and he did. Matt got me two mortgage deals with Halifax and HSBC. There are several mortgage brokers out there but what sets Matt apart is his professionalism, excellent client care, wicked sense of humour, and ability to get things done.
Matt is an astute mortgage broker who understands the priorities of his clients and knows the actions to be taken to achieve the best result for them. He has a proven track record of getting things done in a timely fashion.
Matt promised to get me the best mortgage deal and as I write this review, I have exchanged contract with the seller on 19 March and we are ready to complete the transaction on 25 March.
Matt is an outstanding mortgage broker and whatever he promises, he delivers. If you are looking for a mortgage broker who can get you the best deal, then I highly recommend Matt.

After finding a house that was on the market with shipways, I got a call from Matt asking if I had anything arranged for mortgage advise. After telling Matt I had already spoken to an advisor about this he asked if I would possibly give him the chance to beat the deal I had been offered, and he was pretty confident he would be able to.
Obviously like most, I already thought I had a great deal lined up, but low and behold Matt blew it out the water. Safe to say he has saved us a few hundred per month on mortgage payments.
Matt was great in his communication from the offset and that communication carried on all throughout the process of the application.
If anyone is looking for a mortgage advisor who makes the whole process simple and straight forward then I'd look no further.
We can't thank Matt enough for his time and expertise on finding us a mortgage product that has suited our needs and for the insurance policy that covers myself as a self employed tradesman.

We had an excellent experience with Theo! He was in charge of our process and he was always ready to lend a hand, ensuring we had all the right documents and communicating effectively throughout the process. Theo was patient and willing to clear up any misconceptions we had. Even when he was away, Elizabeth and Brogan were friendly and helpful and was just as effective. I'll definitely be recommending Shipways to family and friends! They made house hunting very seamless and we are really glad to finally have a home after five months of searching.
