Went into Dourish and Day estate agents yesterday 19/12/24 looking for a wee bit of advice for my daughter as she is having to move out of her flat in Manchester before the end of her tenancy. The staff in penkridge shop are amazing (sorry for got your names)????they went above and beyond not only did they speak to my daughter on the phone from my mobile but they also gave her the advice she needed and told her to call back if she needed any other help. We found the staff friendly and professional, and the service was reasonably priced. Being a local agent their knowledge was very helpful. They dealt with all viewings without us needing to be present. We should have been the new owners of this property but after having our offer accepted, sending in all of our personal information, the property being marked as sold, the agents sending the property sales information to our solicitor, the agents allowed another prospective buyer to make an offer which was subsequently accepted by the seller. We now have solicitor fees and mortgage advisor charges to pay but no house! DISGUSTING! It's about time the laws in England were changed! Put us off looking for another house now!... Read more

Had an offer accepted on a property marketed by Dourish and Day was I told lies about the previous owner, the survey couldn't be done as the man couldn't gain access to the property, then had the property taken off the market and wasn't even notified by the estate agents well I wont be using them again the whole process has been a nightmare....
