I've used East of Exe twice over the last 5 years to rent my property. Both times they found good tenants for me quickly. They have dealt with any property maintenance problems quickly and professionally using trusted local tradesmen. I've always found them to be helpful and very competent. Thoroughly recommended.

We have dealt with East of Exe on two or three occasions and have always found them to be professional, friendly and competent. I have read the two negative reviews below where the Tenants in question appear to be dissatisfied and I don't see that their complaints should influence anyone. The correct route for them to follow would seem to be through East of Exe's Complaints Procedure.

This letting agents are rediculously unprofessional and incompetent. And I must say Dishonest. I would not recommend them to anyone. When we moved into are property we had to amend the inventory a lot as it was so out off date, there where lots of things missing from the house and lots wrong. We took an amended copy and photographs to lans office in Exeter for a meeting which we had ask for. And also to collect smoke directer.when it come to use needing a copy of the photographs back as we had unfortunately lost are copy, and to prove that things were missing etc. We were first told by lan and his staff that they had lost them in there office move. Then lan changed his story and said he could not remember us ever given him the photographs or amended inventory. Luckily we still had are copy of that. And help use in are fite for are £2,700 deposit.

Edit: We were the house on Sweetbrier. You'd failed to have a boiler fixed for a week in the height of winter. Failed to fix a water-damaged ceiling for the best part of a year and lied to prospective new tenants about a serious damp and mold problem that clearly needed to be addressed before even our tenancy.

Then you had the audacity to try and claim over £1,000 in deposit deductions based off claims that have now been deemed unjustified.

I seriously hope this is dishonesty as it's actually more worrying people this bad could be hired!

Over the past twenty years have had dealings with four different Letting Agent and I can honestly say that East of Exe are are head and shoulders above the others. I have had several difficult issues to contend with which have all been professionally and expertly dealt with by Ian and his team - I trust them completely and that gives me great peace of mind. We had a difficult and protracted house sale and purchase (no fault of the agent) which, if it hadn't been for the superhuman efforts of Joanna Jones at East of Exe, would have never happened. Joanna put in over and above what was required to get the house sale/purchase through for us, she was always contactable, always returned calls, always up to speed and on the case with the other parties. I would use East of Exe again without hesitation and thoroughly recommend them.
