I needed to sell my property in Orpington and to say the reviews on local agents was satisfactory at best is an understatement. I also didn't want to go mainstream when you just become a reference number because its all about turnover and getting that 'next sell'!
I looked a little further afield as most agents will market property's on the big online portals like Rightmove so the reach for potential buyers wasn't a concern.
I came across Edward Ashdale in Beckenham and after reading around 15-20 reviews there was a common opinion time after time - customer focus and attention to detail. I made the call and was put through to Kevin Spires the Senior Sales guy there. Within possibly 2 minutes my anxiety about the daunting prospect of selling my first property was put aside. He talked me through what he could do in the short, medium and if required the long term.
I gave him property details over the phone and within 5 days a Market Appraisal Report landed in my letterbox. The report contained more than I could possibly imagine with things like information on the local area for shops, transport, schools, estimated broadband speeds, satellite/fibre tv availability and any restrictions - oh and flood risks!
From day 1 Kevin treated me like a friend or member of the family as opposed to a customer. He left no stone unturned and the Edward Ashdale attention to detail was very much apparent.
2024 was a turbulent time for the property market especially in London and the South East. My property went on sale April 2024 and contracts were exchanged December 2024. From the first viewing to the last Kevin went above and beyond time and time again. Because of that customer focus and attention to detail the entire selling process was smooth and most importantly stress free - 100% down to Kevin and his team. Kevin - if I could award a 6th star for the coffee you bought me on that cold, wet, dark morning, I would! Thank you!

I was told to ask to speak to Sam. I called and said can I speak to Sam. When he answered and I said, Hi, is that Sam, he sarcastically says ‘well who do you think they’ve put you through to’! I then asked him about an advert on line for a small property with a photo of a large one as the main photo only to be told that’s not the property. When I questioned him, he told me I’m rude and put the phone down on me.
I think this is the first review I’ve ever done but am shocked by the way these estate agents speak to customers.
So many estate agents, try and pick one that’s not rude to their clients!

Also, I was told that I will be informed on the phone of any progress on the property, which you mention happened the day before of my appointment. But again nothing. No record of calls or texts or emails as mentioned by you.

My whole Saturday morning wasted because of very poor professionalism by the team. I confirmed my viewing slot over the phone only to be told on the day of the appointment that there is no appointment booked while I waited outside the property in the rain with my infant. If only someone had made the effort on their side. Very disappointed.

I used Edward Ashdale to sell my house in Shortlands. We wanted to sell quickly so they valued it accordingly. The correct valuation meant that I had three offers in the first week on the market. There were complications during the process due to legal matters, but Kevin navigated us through and ensured the sale exchanged and completed and within our timescale. Great service from start to finish.

I 100% recommend Edward Ashdale Bromley they are so helpful and caring for all your needs and go above and beyond to keep the tenants happy.
Also Samantha is one in a million. She helped me and my family so much through everything and nothing was to much trouble for her.
Communication between them and tenants is great no waiting around for days to sort problems out I can’t thank them and my landlord enough.
So If you are looking to rent your property or sell then look no further. They are fantastic

My neighbour had her house on the market with Edward Ashdale and recommended I spoke to them when I mentioned I was looking for a valuation of my property. I had already had some of the usual local big name agents round and struggled to get the sense they’d done much research bar a quick look on Rightmove and were too quick to talk about their rates and where to put the board up. In contrast, i found Kevin to be extremely genuine, taking his time to take me through his thoughts on the value he recommended. He brought his years of experience of market conditions (past and present) helped by a broader coverage of the area which I felt gave him an added level of credibility I’d not seen from the others. I particularly liked that Kevin and the rest of the team were at all times professional and responsive which gave me the impression my house sale would be in safe hands. Very happy to recommend!
