I would highly recommend Edward Mellor Estate Agents. I have used them in the past to sell a previous home and they were very quick. I approached Amy Hatton at the Stalybridge ranch and she came up to the apartment very quickly. Amy was very informative, efficient and pleasant. She answered all our questions and then took photos and valued the place in the same meeting. The apartment was put on the market the day after and sold in 3 days. Extremely good work by all the girls in the office. I would highly recommend them.... Read more

The team at Edward Mellor are really well coordinated and everybody that we dealt with was always friendly and helpful. Amy who did our valuation and brochure was knowledgeable, professional and explained everything very clearly. We chose this agent because of Amy's transparency, honesty and integrity. We worked with Hailey through the process of offers and negotiations and then getting to the point of exchange and completion. Hailey really went above and beyond in answering our queries and communicating with our buyer when their solicitor wasn't responding. A very professional estate agent. Good first contact with Charlotte who took our details.Amy Hatton was our Rep for a viewing . She communicates well and is very knowledgeable about the property viewed, its history and features. Good customer service too . All contacts effective and appointments kept efficiently. It’s a big deal buying and selling a house these days and Mellor were spot on. Not pursuing this one for the time being but if we deal with Mellor again we ll be asking for Amy and Charlotte.... I had to speak with Edward mellor on a few occasions when I was looking at purchasing my second property, I did a number of viewings on some of there properties which went fine however when I came to make an offer I was told it wouldn’t be put forward as the vendor would be “unlikely” to accept it, I wouldn’t mind but it was only 6k Under the asking price but they point blank refused to put the offer forward like they couldn’t be bothered. I wouldn’t advise selling your property with these people as you may get genuine offers you never hear about.... Read more

Very disappointed with the level of service I received once my offer was accepted and transferred over to the sales team. An advisor called David Sidebotham was dealing with my file and alot of the times we communicated over the phone, I seemed to get negative responses from him. From the beginning of the sales process he mentioned my sale falling through and on a few occasions mentioned my buyer pulling out. As a seller it's not something you like to hear but as an advisor if he felt like that what did he do about this? I felt as though he did not put enough time and effort into my sale. I seemed to always be ringing and giving him updates whereas he only rang if I requested to be informed of anything. He quite gladly rang to inform me that my buyer had decided to pull out. I am also very very concerned that my buyer was a cash buyer and apparently all funds were in the solicitors account. When i managed to get hold of the buyers number he told me that he still had funds to yet put onto the account. Why were these checks not done at the beginning? Just as much as a mortgage in principal is important why was this not looked at and bought to my attention? I'm very unhappy and very annoyed and would definatly not recommend Edward Mellor to anyone. I would advise to look into the agents sales team and who the advisor dealing with the sale be before committing yourself to Edward Mellor .... Read more

Be careful arranging anything with this company. First of all, they told me they wouldn't do viewings for rental properties at the weekend because they would rather prioritise weekend viewing time for people looking to buy not for us mere rental customers. Eventually they did organise a weekend viewing with me. We drove 30 miles to get to the property to see it as we were very interested. We were a little late (10 minutes), and the person had left. It took me 11 calls to get someone at the office to answer, who then said the representative would try and come back. She did come back within minutes, however then had the wrong keys or had keys missing, so couldn't get into the property. Seeing this map, the office is right around the corner from the property I was looking at (walking distance in 5mins or less) and she could have gone and got the right ones, however told us "well...I don't really know what to do now". We left, and completed our 60 mile round trip without seeing the property we were very interested in letting from them.... Read more
