I was a serious buyer who went to see over 20propeties, of those 20 I would say 15 of those were up with Edward Mellor. I bidded on several of Edward Mellor properties. They used shark tactics like best and finals even when there wasnt much interest on the properties. I bidded on one properties and I found out I was unsuccessful via them changing the status on rightmove rather than a curtesy phonecall or email. I often felt they were more concerned about making money than their clients or people viewing properties. Unfortunately they dominate the market in Edgeley, I have since found a house and moved in with a different estate agents. If I ever decided to sell I would avoid Edward Mellor at all costs.

Probably the worst experience dealing with any professional company. Avoid working specifically with Natalie the Sales Progresser (more of a sales inhibitor). If you are a buyer she will make sure you are aware she does not work for you with her tone and refusal to pass information across. At 8 months pregnant (clearly time sensitive) she prevented our letter from being sent to the sellers for 5 days until we enquired about it and had to forced her hand. A lot of unpleasant meddling, back tracking and distraction behaviours from her and Mellor in general. Would strongly recommend going with another agent if you can.

I would like to say our experience of Edward Mellor has been outstanding. The team at the Edgeley office Andrea and Emma have been so supportive. We have an onward purchase but our sale fell through using another estate agent. Andrea and Emma got us quickly on the market again, followed by a stream of vetted potential buyers. Recently bought a house via Edward Mellor which can only be described as a harrowing experience. Firstly, their staff lack any basic customer service skills and I found them quite rude. I found the sales advisor to talk utter nonsense and literally make things up which were either demonstrably untrue at the time or later turned out to be a fallacy. Pressure was continually applied unnecessarily in respect to things outside my control which led to an significant degradation of my mental health, completely unnecessarily. All in all, an awful experience and I would avoid at all costs.

Drove all the way from London to view a house in Manchester. We really liked the property and called up to put an application through. Been over a week now and every time I call, the lady ‘Charlotte’ always says she will let her colleague know to send me the application form to my email. Every single day she said the same thing and when I demanded she give me an email at least of the person in charge, she gave me the wrong email address. I then missed out on the house. What a waste of £200 to go to Manchester and have my time wasted like that. Inconsiderate people here

Robert Heritage is an absolute credit to Edward Mellor. Moving house is obviously a challenging, albeit exciting time, but I am 100% sure it would have been a much less enjoyable experience without the dedication that Rob provided. From the initial valuation appointment to the exchange of keys, he displayed a warm, professional and efficient attitude to the entire process. Our sale had some delay due to mortgage complications and the team endeavoured to ease those frustrations with exceptional attentiveness. Probably the biggest lying estate agents you could possible use. From senior level to lower level. Putting a house on the market than you cant get a mortage on because of structural faults etc and not disclosing the information with you that they have from the previous buyers that pulled out. Wasted time and money.

Very nice people working here and quite helpful getting you through the process of buying. Glad to work with them! The office itself is a bit drab and smells a bit stale; so could do with a refurb!

The lady on the phone has no mannerisms, very rude on the phone. The gentleman I spoke to was however very pleasant. Wished I could just speak to him all the time. If they could have the same level of courtesy throughout this agency, they would definitely get more sales. Need better telephone etiquette.

Very confused as to why nobody answers the phone or even has the decency to reply to the emails me and my girlfriend have been sending. We are first time buyers with all arrangements ready to buy as soon as we find a property. We leave numerous emails as we have found lots of property's edward Mellor are selling and not once has anyone replied. We also phone up the castle street office on a regular basis about potential properties to view to be told by who ever answers the phone "I'll get somone to ring you back". nobody ever does. Very unprofessional service. Hopefully you can get back to us one day ?
