If I could give them zero I would. We used Edward’s for about 6 years to manage our rental property. We live abroad so it’s hard for us to ever see our property empty. I managed to see it after 6 years and I cried. Pure neglect. Mainly down to Edwards not caring about ensuring a tenant handed the property back as they find it.
If you’re a tenant, probably the best agents in town, they will let you get away without tidying/cleaning/gardening or generally looking after the property, they will not keep your deposit or check for damage etc when you move out. If you have pets even better, you won’t need to pick up your dog mess or clean the carpets when leaving.
My neighbours tell me they scan the property for 2 minutes max once a tenant leaves.
Landlords - avoid at all costs, it will cost you a fortune to repair Edwards lack of due diligence and care.
They were supposed to be managing the property, I’m not sure they know what that means.

Darren stood out as refreshingly understated, mature and thoughtful in his approach to the job. Things started well with his on site, perceptive assessment of the property. He also made efforts to collaborate, for example, in drafting the brochure and this resulted in some great photos and an eventual successful sale of the property.

This was my first of experience of selling a property. Edwards gave a very prompt response to my initial enquiry are answered all of my questions. I felt under no obligation but I was very I pressed so we proceeded on a fixed price basis, Darren gave us a realistic assessment of the market and an honest idea of what would or wouldn't enhance our chance of a sale.
Despite the pandemic everything went smoothly. Darren took an excellent set of photos, the property was advertised widely and well. We were regularly updated on viewings and when an offer came the negotiation was handled very well and the paperwork likewise. In short a very friendly and professional service that made for a very easy transaction.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Edwards.

The main thing I loved about Edwards was the lack of pushyness and pressure that some other Estate Agents portray. Darren gave time and patience to talk with me about selling my property without feeling pressured to sell with them as it was a difficult decision to make at the time. I would recommend to anyone, especially if the sale of the property is of a delicate nature as you will have patience and support. "First class service from Kim Edwards and team who manage the letting of Lyster Gardens for us. The property has new double glazing, new consumer unit with new electric testing, new shower unit and new programmable heater, and is very clean and tidy both inside and outside. Despite all of this the last tenant was not happy, complaining about problems that did not exist, even to the extent that the lawn had not been cut, even though this was his responsibility. Kim Edwards showed great patience and tolerance throughout. After just 2 months it was decided nothing would be good enough for this person so he was offered the chance to leave before the end of his tenancy, which thankfully he did,. I understand that he is now accusing them of using old photos of the garden. This is not possible as Edwards Estate Agency have only just taken on the management, and he was the first tenant under them. Having read other reviews he has left, I can only think this person has issues, which you would not expect an Estate Agent to be qualified to sort. Many thanks for an excellent service from Kim, Darren and Amy."

Edwards have been amazing in the whole process of selling our property from the moment I phoned Darren he has been in constant contact and kept us updated all the way. We have not had very good experiences at all with other Estate Agents so went for a company that was independent and not part of a chain and was defiantly the best decision we made. If we have not been able to get hold of Darren then other staff members have been just as helpful with any queries myself or my husband have had. I can not thank them enough for the effort put in to getting us the best deal and supporting us in selling our first house especially when we have lived so far away for the whole process. The best estate agent I have ever used. From the start they gave good practical advice and were always happy to help. I live some way away from the property I was selling so they had to do everything. Everyone I spoke to in the office seemed to know what was going on with sale at all times and people rang back when they said they would.
