Disappointing.
Feedback on viewings, even confirmation that they happened, were hard to come by. Viewings seemed to happen even though people had no intention of buying my property and what it offered.
Miscommunication from the start. Misled on buyers position, sale documents updated and reissued without any communication of the changes.....
I went months between contact....i understand the team changed midway through my Sale, however; the communication was not where It needed to be and It didn't really improve. The agent I was buying through became the biggest source of information and kept me fully up-to-date
I waited weeks for callbacks (if they came), told one thing, only for it not to happen.
I did however find Lisa (Mortgage Advisor) very helpful, and easily contactable! I also had great photos of my property.

Went in just before Xmas and spoke to Lisa the mortgage advisor who said she would call me back the next week heard nothing then called her and she said she would get back to me at the beginning of January and a few calls later and messages left still nothing, if there is an issue then all they had to do was a quick call to say and I would of been happy, so would avoid if you don't fit there criteria then don't bother i have gone with another agent know who has been in contact with as promised. No stars from me

I do not recommend the Agency to rent any real property. from November 2019, I am asking for repair of the property where there is mold, etc., I lost a lot of furniture, a children's bed because everything attacked with mold. I lost over £ 1000 on my property for furniture that had to be thrown into the trash. my daughter already landed 3 times in the hospital because of the mold in the flat. but the agency did nothing, I got the landlord's number and with all the problems I'm contacting him now because it's not worth trusting this agency. and the landlord did not know about anything for over a year that he was a problem…. that's how they care about the people in this agency.!

I think everyone there I’ve spoken to are very professional and kind, however as of late have not been very responsive to emails which I sent days, a property was put on the market after hours and I called as soon as they opened next day to which apparently all viewing slots were already booked…apparently I’m in their system and would be updated if any properties became available but haven’t actually had any contact regarding this. Think I’ll start looking through other agency’s now.

As the owner of a rental property, I have been working with the letting department for over a year now. During an unexpectedly complicated renovation the team offered me support and encouragement holding keys for me throughout. On completion of the project they quickly found a tenant who has just moved in. I would highly recommend Palmer Snell Lettings if you are looking for a management company to handle your property.

My landlord has been on to them since 28th Feb about our neighbours (who let through them) about their fence that fell down in our garden, I understand we have been in a pandemic, however many construction workplaces have been open for sometime and it's still not been sorted, been phoned left emails and answer messages, and still nothing! Very angry as have a dog and a 3 year old son that try and go into their garden it's not safe, but they clearly do not care! As already stated it isn't myself that lets through palmer snell it is my NEIGHBOURS! If someone could actually phone me back as you have my number now that would be great.

I have done the checks with home let was told my credit was too low but was informed I could try use a guarantee send them all the details nothing has been done about it try to call and send email no one has contact me.As a support worker I’m trying my best not to visit places unnecessarily I’m thinking of others too but I’m not sure if I should just visit the office for something I could have been helped over the phone

Before I start; our sale coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic, so delays and uncertainty were to be expected. However, I would seriously reconsider if you are thinking of selling your house through Palmer Snell in Yeovil.
To start, the agent who came out to see us certainly talked the talk, giving it ‘the big one’ about being better than the other estate agents we had used and why we shouldn’t have chosen them in the first place. Typical estate agent nonsense.
It started well with a couple of viewings on different days, but then Palmer Snell told us we would have 3 viewings on the same day. The first was genuine, the second was a phantom viewing, the third never happened. We appreciate they use the block booking technique to create a sense of urgency for buyers, but we certainly did not expect them to try and fool us in to thinking there was more interest than there actually was.
To explain, we have proof that the second viewing was in fact not someone interested in the house, but a friend/colleague of the Palmer Snell agent supposedly showing prospective buyers around our home. They had a good natter about their personal lives in our kitchen, discussed what we looked like from the photographs on the wall, had a quick tour saying ‘they shouldn’t have a problem selling this place’ and then left together. Again, we have absolute proof of this. To top that off, they didn’t hang around to see if the third viewing would arrive, so presumably it didn’t exist.
We were desperate to sell, so didn’t want to call them out on this for fear they might not both too much with our property. However, I thought I’d press for some feedback from the second and third viewings. The agent's response; “pretty much the same as the first viewing”. Lies.
We finally sold, but then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, so we fully appreciated that there would be delays. However, as all other estate agents opened up and carried on, Palmer Snell in Yeovil did not. If we wanted to get in touch, we were told to send emails to a particular address. When we did, we received an automated response saying that this mailbox was no longer being used. All phone lines went dead. We ended up having to provide updates to the other estate agents in the chain as they couldn’t get a response either. Woeful to say the least.
To top it off, we made the mistake of going with their own solicitor (Countrywide Conveyancing) as they would be able to push things through quickly and get regular updates. Feel free to check out the review on this useless company too if you have a minute. We’ve certainly learned our lesson.
I appreciate that reviews are often only left when you have something to gripe about, but as you’ll see from my profile, the vast majority (apart from Countrywide/Palmer Snell companies) are pretty positive.
Best of luck if you do choose these guys.

Mixed feelings if I’m honest. As a buyer, it was a great pain to get responses from the agent, they did not return phone calls and left multiple emails not responded to. I get that it is just business, but at least get back to people so they are not left hanging. The financial services chap was polite and professional, however did appear to use most of the hard sell tactics in the book, nothing shady just knew the tactics he was using from my sales days.
Overall, I would be put off buying a property if it was via this firm, however I cannot comment on selling or renting.

I was a first time buyer and Darren Crocker from Palmer Snell Yeovil was recommended to me even though I don’t live in Yeovil. Darren explained everything clearly, patiently and answered all my questions even if stupid ones with kindness. He was always quick to answer any phone calls and emails and liaised with solicitors and estate agents that were causing unnecessary stress and problems. I can’t thank Darren enough for everything he done, the thought of buying a house for the first time on my own was scary but wasn’t with Darren behind me. Thank you again. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Countrywide that supports Palmer snell have given me nothing but stress. Saying I haven't paid 1 month of rent and then trying to charge me £3200! Renewing the tenancy wasn't easy either! They didn't send any emails regarding the tenancy agreement or about the rent increasing! The only email I got was them saying that they hadn't received a signed document, even though they never sent me one!!

Absolulty rude members of staff, offering a property to my friend and giving her a date to move, taking the deposit and 5 days before she moves she recieves a phone call to say sorry we have noticed your Guarentor didnt complete paperwork so u cant move!!!!! After numerous of attempts at finding her a guarentor nothing was good enough!!! She is now homeless with her 5 children as from Monday absolutly Discusting!!!!!! Should never of promised her a date to move and took the deposit!!!! And if they had done there job properly then they would of noticed the guarentor checks hadnt of been done!!!!!! Plus being spoken to like a waste of space!!!! Please avoid this company at all costs they stich u up!!!!! Oh now to top it all off the rent has now been reduced by £25 and the new law has come in about tenants fee's and shs is now homeless and in a B&B in 1 room with 5 children, and i can now clarify that the HOMELET guarentor checked Passed but the boss at Palmer Snell refused her the house after giving her the date to move in!!!! What an absolute Joke!!!!!! ????????????????

-Actively persuaded us to put our house on the market at a low price by saying they would do an open day and secure offers over the ‘offers over’ price.
-Failed to advertise open day or tell potential viewers they were not able to visit until the open day.
-Failed to tell us they weren’t going ahead with the open day even when we asked them.
-Secured an offer and advised us the potential buyer would ‘definitely go up’ then failed to get back to us for more than 24hours. We found out (after chasing) that they had sold the buyer another house instead.
-Never gave feedback unless chased.
-Frequently failed to get back to calls / emails.
-Often gave minimal notice of viewings.
-Got caught out in stupid lies eg ‘They can only do today because they’re from away’ when ‘they’ turned out to be local.
-Failed to put a board up for weeks even though we have lots of passing traffic and appealing road frontage.
-Didn’t arrange to take down property website listings at the end of our notice period holding up our launch with new agent.
-Branch staff completely unable to resolve internet listing problem or tell us how long it will take to get the adverts removed due to the large, corporate nature of their business.
-Their internal complaints procedure commits to respond to issues within 15 days so we may not be shot of them for a while yet.
STEAR WELL CLEAR UNLESS YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO WASTE!

It is not very often that praise is given (And I am usually a grumpy mare at the best of times)
However, a hugely deserved shout out to Jamie Grierson and his team at Palmer Snell, Yeovil and Taunton.
I had massive reservations about renting via an agent, having never done so before, however, they handled my million and one questions, and concerns with friendly professionalism.
Last week, my children and I finally moved into our new home, and we could not be happier (Although I am bored of boxes!!)

Moving home is an ordeal but when it’s from London to Somerset after 20 years the whole process was made easier and stress free thanks to the efficient and professional staff at Palmer Snell in Yeovil but in particular Jazz. Jazz showed us around a lovely rental property in South Petherton and when it was love at first sight she went above and beyond to get it for us. A month in and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. We would highly recommend Palmer Snell especially Jazz to look after you and all your needs.
