I had similar experience with Free Agent, I wouldn’t go into details, but my biggest regret was not knowing which side Free Agent works for the buyers or seller interest? Especially when I paid the fee.
I would strongly recommend either don’t use them or get all the facts and figures right before you chose them.

I cannot recommend Free Agent enough! We sold our house with Free Agent in April after having an awful experience with Connels. We were under time pressure as we were moving location and Daniel, Chanelle and the team were incredible! From the first meeting with Daniel where he honestly valued my house and showed me what else was going in the market, he gave me a lot of background knowledge and made me feel at ease straight away. Daniel and Chanelle then came to do the photos and videos of my property and they were outstanding! I loved the fact that Free Agent do a video for social media as it is very current and properties get much more interest this way! Within 24 hours of my house going on the market, I had 5 viewings booked it! It was insane! My house went online on the Thursday and sold the following a Tuesday! It was previously up with Connels and I had no viewings for 6 weeks! Even once my sale had been confirmed, Chanelle’s communication was second to none. She would regularly send me messages to see if I needed anything from her or if she needed to chase the sellers for anything. Communication was outstanding. As we have now moved down south, we unfortunately won’t get to use Free Agent again but I would use them again in a heart beat and would recommend to anyone selling their house!!

Free agent were absolutely brilliant when we were selling our house. We purchased a home also sold by them so we were very much in the loop. Rebecca was easy to contact, friendly, efficient and always kept us updated. We felt at total ease being in the hands of them. Not only did we sell and buy with them, but we had a very quick turn around when we decided to make an offer on a house and get ours on the market. We made the decision and within a couple of days free agent had the full team over coming to do floor plan/photos etc to get it on the market. Exceptionally pleased with this company and Gérard. As a buyer, we have done lots of viewings and have met pretty much every agent in this area. Gérard was an absolute breathe of fresh air. I had come to loath interactions with Estate agents as they all seemed to fit the unflattering stereotype. Not here though, I genuinly trusted what he was saying, he was open, honest and had integrity. His mentality is exactly what the industry needs and is a credit to his company and vendors. I would use this place in a heart beat should we ever need to sell in the future. Although this house is a no go for us sadly due to parking, I'm hopeful we can do business with them and not another agent in the near future.

We had an intro chat with Dan, he came across very personable and professional, and we really liked the services and strategy that he put in place. In the end we worked with Dan and his team for 6 months. We found the process very smooth, FreeAgent are a very professional, friendly and supportive team. We really liked that they use multiple channels to advertise the properties (social media, rightmove). Having worked in social media advertising for over 10 years I know that they do it the right way! Not so sure about this agent. my offer wasn't put forward.. Which I believe to be against the law. I Only found out as I took the owners number. Once questioned the agent made out they thought they did. All sorts of tricks played to get what they want. Overall lost the house due to lost respect for the agent, We would of actually paid more if this agent was trusting. Just to reply to the very professional reply below. What's the point in getting in contact when we didn't get the house. The above happend otherwise I would not waste my time
Wow agents replies to my comment about getting in touch to resolve the issue. Well Daniel who wants to get in touch let me educate you. What is the point in getting in touch when the house I wanted got sold. The issue can't not be resolved? The comment was left so you don't do it to other buyers. Also. I would suggest reading your negative reviews and there are many negative reviews and trying to address them to improve your business. Rather than sending silly replies. If you want we can set up a meeting and I can teach you about customer service? And don't worry about qualifications I have a degree in management, and 15 years experience teaching.

We used FreeAgent247 to sell our bungalow this year. I had a few different estate agents coming to value the property, and FreeAgent247 stood out for me. Gerrard inspired me trust and professionalism and was honest and open, so it was a very easy decision to go ahead with them.
The pictures and videos taken of the property were also very high quality.
The sale was handled by lovely Donna Dudley, who went above and beyond to firstly find us a buyer, and secondly to ensure everything goes ahead as smooth as possible. When I say above and beyond I truly mean it, she even organised for a colleague of hers to come and take my dog out for a walk for a viewing when I was at work!
Communication has always been easy and I felt well informed and kept up to date with what was happening.

Who would have thought that such a simple cash sale, no chain, could really take 7 months to complete. I'm sure we would still be in limbo had it not been for the numerous times that Christine/Freeagent24/7 stepped in & chivvied along the solicitors & the freeholder.

I would not recommend this agent to a buyer or seller. My son just bought his first house. Terrible bullies....Everyone knows that Estate Agents are not honourable, but these agent take it to different level !!!.
I have bought and sold many (more than I can count with my figures) houses but nothing as bad as these agents.
1) Funded by the BUYER'S FEE and tells you that they only act on behalf of the seller and not for the buyer. Isn't the estate agent to work for both parties???.
2) Rude and Bully you to complete without any survey.
3) Obstruct having searches. My son was told they didn't see the point in having a survey and a Desk Top survey was adequate.
4) Obstruct having any further surveys done that were highlighted by the surveyor.
5) In as much as above, the agent put the house back up for sale after 4 weeks to obstruct any further surveys being carried out (whilst ready to exchange & exchanged a week later). We had to go through the solicitors to gain access. Not sure what they were hoping to achieve as the vendor didn't cancel with her solicitor. Wasted some buyers time ( 247 Agents are not busy so it was no big deal for them to waste time), just so that they bully my son to exchange.....Disgusting!!! Totally unprofessional...GREEDY and DESPERATE TO GET THEIR HAND ON THE FEE!!!
6) Christine made the decision on behalf of the seller without consultation. If I was the seller I would not want an agent (simple minded) making my decisions on my behalf.
7) Sending constant & rude emails to the Mortgage Broker and our Solicitor in as much they both are considering not to have any further dealings with this agent.
8) Unprofessional. Do not consider that purchasing a house as a first-time buyer is a big deal and it would be the biggest borrowing .....and a place one would live in !!!
9) GREEDY, with no morals and gives the other estate agents a bad name. We deal with many local, London & Midland estate agents but these agents are worst in my 50 year experience of buying & selling houses.
10) On the day of the keys being handed over we had to wait till Mid Day as Christine had the keys at her home but was working somewhere in the midlands???. Had to send a scruffy man in shorts (think it was her husband).
Total nightmare to dealing with this agent. Glad that they are only a small fish in a big pond.....I would be so disappointed if I had appointed FreeAgent to sell my houses and had treated the buyers this badly.
We are purchasing a property in London and agreed on the sale a week before buying the house in Worcester and we are ready to exchange but delays on the sellers side. The agent is not acting like the 247 FreeAgent.

11 Months after offering on a house that was after a 'quick sale' the chain has fallen through. During that time more and more came out about the complexity of the chain that was not disclosed at the start.
Admittedly it does seem as though the sellers did not help this matter, however it is up to the estate agent to manage this!
Gerard rarely answered phone calls or messages and on the odd occasion we did get a response, it was not an up to date response (I often had to tell him the latest situation), and sometimes the update wasn't even related to our purchase but to someone else!
In the end Gerard admitted to us that he was no longer in contact with one of his clients who was selling the property.....
We were not happy with the business model of having to pay the agents fee on completion (they are however upfront about this), so did factor this into our offer price, but do not be fooled into thinking that as the buyer paying the fee, the agents will be working for you! They are very much still looking after their seller!
Overall we are now out of pocket on solicitor fees, searches and surveys as well as purchasing in a much more expensive market, the only saving grace is not having to pay almost £5k to the agents who quite frankly were useless for us.

Awfully disappointing, be warned and stay well clear! We bought our first property through free agent and were surprisingly impressed with the process until leading up to the day of completion. Gerard was great at replying to any queries and handled our offer really well, though sales progressing and making sure this was a smooth transition shouldn’t have been a tough job as we were first time buyers moving into a vacant property. When the day of completion arrived we made our way to the to property only to get a call from Dan to be told the keys were in-fact still with the vendor and 45 minutes away and not in the lock box. We checked with free agent the night before completion and we’re told that the keys were at the property and ready for us. We made a detour to save waiting on the driveway with lots of our stuff for an hour whilst Dan collected the keys from the vendor. I have never known disorganisation like it. Once Dan had given the keys over, he politely declined any responsibility for the mishap. When we eventually got to the property, it wasn’t even locked and we walked right in!! We are still missing keys for the front door and can only lock the porch door at present. We have been told the vendors would be contacted to confirm if they still have front door keys and we are still yet to hear back. Shocking.
*** with response to free agents public reply which is yet another chance to deny any accountability to the poor organisation displayed. I have since checked my emails and the last one received from them advised ‘Hi Hannah, Message being sent to old owners just now. Will report back asap…’ I had not received any further information to this matter until an email today after publicly posting my feedback of our experience.
I would also like to clarify that regardless of us choosing another location to wait for the keys to be dropped off to us we were still stranded with our items for 45 minutes. Had they have checked with the vendor the night before rather than chancing that the lockbox was still there, this would have been avoided. The vendors clearly hadn’t been at the property the night before as their was at least a weeks worth of their named post on the doormat inside. Our simultaneous exchange and completion was not by choice and only occurred due to the lack of sales progression meaning exchange was delayed. Our completion date had been agreed by all parties 2 weeks prior so should not have come as a shock. For the fee that the buyer has to pay upon completion, I would truly expect better***

I sold with Free Agent and from the start of the process they offered their advice with ensuring our house was "staged" correctly for when the film and photographer crew arrived.
I was happy with the quality of the photos and the videos of our property and although we had a quick start of viewings we then experienced a slump my opinion was that the asking price was a little ambitious and as we had already found a house we wanted to buy we were advised to drop the price. We sold after 6 weeks which was great. However due to the pandemic and the second lockdown the sale fell through.
This is where Julia went above and beyond for us and arranged multiple viewings (10) on Easter Sunday and worked. I had multiple offers on the Tuesday morning which was fantastic.
I felt at times the level of communication wasn't as responsive as I would expect considering the company are using modern communication methods (WhatsApp being one), and I also felt I had to do a lot of chasing to find things out.
Overall I have given 4 stars as the quality of the videos and photos were great, the cost at not paying anything as a seller, Julia went completely above and beyond giving up her Easter Sunday to work at showing our house.
They lack the fifth star due to the communication level not being where I think it should be and in my opinion not being pro active enough when dealing with queries.

Already, the first offer could be accepted and went through. Our agent Linda Rimmel accompanied the whole process. Each time when something was stuck, she could resolve it. Instead of the typical 12 weeks, it only took 10 to exchange contracts.

We received awful service from this company and in particular, Linda. Very similar experience to the other 1/2 star reviews on Google. We don't believe our offer was ever sent to the seller. The company ethos seems to be hard sales tactics over service. We eventually pulled an offer after being told it was too low (although virtually asking price) and other buyers were more competitive... to find the property still on the market 6 weeks later - rubbish! The only consideration given is 'how much can we make on our 1% fee'. We don't dispute the 1% fee, it was mentioned during the viewing and I understand the model. However, we got the impression that sales agents are trying to create fake interested in houses in order to increase the offers/value and therefore, increase their fee. The market is already vastly over valued.
We were also pestered about our proceedability and our sales agent was contacted to ensure we had sold our house (without prior consent or comms to us), but when we had enquiries about the house we wanted to buy the sales rep, Linda, seemed shocked at the notion, how dare we ask...
Other than being pestered to offer higher, we had no other communication, we weren't informed throughout the process.

A greedy business model which charges an absolutely scandalous 1% fee of final sale price. There is certainly nothing 'free' on the part of the buyer, who has to bear all of this cost in what is currently a seller's market. House prices are manipulated as the agent's fee is required at the point of completion, which is effectively manufacturing the need for a higher deposit. When you consider how difficult it is to obtain a mortgage at 85% LTV or higher, it is a very selfish way to operate a business.
