I first chose Philip Laney & Jolly (PL &J) as an exclusive Agent to sell my property in Worcester this year because I've found James a trustworthy gentleman when I first met with him to discuss about my property; plus, I've also read many positive online reviews about PL&J.
I am glad to share with all that PL & J is every bit as good as people have claimed. My property was sold (subject to contract) in just a few weeks after Marketing efforts and because the deal was linked to a Property Chain, Mel and James had to deal and follow up on multiple matters in the course of the next few months.
Now I must make clear that I don't reside in the UK and all liaisons after the initial face-to-face meeting were done largely by email and/or WhatsApp. Being aboard and a demanding person by nature, I approached James and Mel quite frequently to keep myself abreasted with the latest development. And without failure, James or Mel would ALWAYS reply to me within ONE working day, offering updates and advices as and when necessary.
They were always attentive, swift, professional, customer centric and took away the stress that could come from managing a property sale from overseas. It has been a pleasure to deal with them and I've paid the Agent fee with gratitude and a smile on my face because of the services I have received.
James, Mel, it has been a pleasure to do business with you and I sincerely hope our path will cross in future.

Exceptional service! When I made an initial enquiry about selling my home, they swiftly responded and visited the property. Jacob was particularly helpful in sharing his market knowledge and giving me advice on setting a price.

From previous experience of using other estate agents and being repeatedly made promises of ‘we will do it better than the rest’ and then ending up with the same miserable experience that we had hoped to avoid, I have to say that I had begun to tar them all with the same brush. But then through the recent purchase of our new property, we came across James and Mel at PLJ and what a refreshing breath of fresh air! To find an estate agency who not only did what they say they would, but who also regularly kept in touch from start to finish, helped troubleshoot all manner of issues and who remained professional, courteous and friendly throughout what was a very stressful process, well what can I say - they have set the bar for all other local agents and I wish them all the very best for the future. I would highly recommend PLJ to anyone looking for an estate agent that actually does what you pay them to do, a cut above the rest!

Unfortunately can’t comment on anything further than the “viewings” stage as nobody contacted us back after requesting one.
The house we wanted to view changed status to Sold STC a few days after our initial enquiry, we felt like it was very poor customer service to not have been contacted to let us know either way.

In their approach, couldn’t wish to meet nicer people. James always accompanied viewings, which was for me very important and always gave feed back on what prospective buyers likes and dislikes were, which is what you need from an estate agent.Mal has been an angel in these difficult times, guiding me through the process when I have felt that solicitors are taking forever to respond. Mal has alway been at the end of the phone or Internet to help me through the process, always responding the same day.

James and Mel were helpful and professional throughout the whole process of both selling our existing property and buying our new one at a particularly difficult time due to Covid-19 and the subsequent restrictions. From our initial contact with PLJ on a Monday to going live on Rightmove on that Friday and getting an offer of the full asking price the day after was beyond our expectations. But then we hit the lock down problems and Mel worked hard to keep things going with our buyer, solicitors with furloughed staff, removals unable to happen, etc. It took over 20 weeks in the end but we are now in our new home. We cannot recommend Phillip Laney and Jolly enough, having found the house of our dreams, our property was promptly put on the market, excellent commuication, Tom and Mel were amazing, even when our initial sale was falling through, with the help of them both, our house was resold within 2days whilst protecting the sale of our new house, 6 weeks later and we suscessfully moved out and into our new home.
Both Tom and Mel were personal, and took time listening to us and sorting everything out.
