Right from the start of my property search all the staff at G D Estates were always very friendly towards me. With my basic salary not being the greatest they were the only agency that was prepared to listen to me and solve my housing search.
All my viewings were very easy to arrange and it wasn't too long before I was able to find somewhere to live.
Once I had finished my search everything was arranged very promptly and efficiently leaving me very little work to do.
The COMMUNICATION between the staff and myself was EXCELLENT all the way through to moving into my new home.
My overall experience of the G D ESTATES was just an example of EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

What a shame. The house we rented was a right state when we moved in with mold on the windows, rubbish in the garden, just to name a few. The inventory pictures did not reflect what the house looked like and what they said and so I asked them to note this. They later tried to charge us for this. Luckily we had a few pictures to argue our case but they had many more pictures that were strategically taken and so we ended up paying for part of it from our deposit. The company had an unrealistic record of the house prior to move in and move out. Initially, they tried to charge us for things, such as a burn mark in the carpet, that the original inventory stated was already there prior to us moving in. The walls were listed as recently redecorated when we moved in, but they definitely were not. They were awful. My kids could have done a better paint job. I stated this to them in an email for record, but they still asked for us to pay for it to be re-painted. The house was so poorly cleaned by the cleaner who cleaned it prior to us moving in that even DPS said it wasn't fully clean. I wouldn't be surprised if they copied and pasted everything that was wrong with the house the last time someone moved out and said we did the same. Sam, I will say is knowledgeable. As for one of the ladies that works there, omg!! I tried to ask her if they could look at the house to see if it needed anymore cleaning or work before everything was handed over, this lady couldn't grasp what I was trying to ask but instead thought we hadn't had it cleaned. Later, we were accused of not getting the carpet professionally cleaned. Luckily, we had the receipt, but this wasn't enough for GD Estates. They wanted it cleaned again. The poor carpet cleaner said he'd never had a letting agency say the carpet wasn't clean after he'd cleaned it. He was surprised, we were surprised, but kindly, the carpet cleaner cleaned it again. The carpet was perfectly fine the first time round.

When we asked for our deposit back they decided to give us a cleaning charge of £350!
Complained to Gd estates did not try to help us recover our money that's on hold.

I couldn't be more pleased that we were in a position to buy our own home and finish renting from GD Estates. 6 monthly walk rounds (taking pictures each time) is intrusive and (most of, not all) the staff were not as friendly as they seem to think they are, often coming across as patronising and snotty. (Edit: maybe that's why I wasn't always miss sunshine either - having to deal with your rudeness, incompetence or the rude contractors you used)
When the rental got taken over they never done an inventory and they never got to see how we took the house on. The landlord (who was fantastic) spent money on the place but so did we (painted throughout, new carpets, flooring, fitted wardrobes) yet we were torn apart on check out of the property, saying we hadn't done things when we had. The oven and carpets WERE cleaned and the whole house was in a much better state than when we took it on. We paid to have the oven cleaned regularly - and windows too. We had rented before and knew what estate agents could be like but these people are the worst we'd ever dealt with.
We aren't perfect and had a stressful move and admitted we did miss a couple of very minor things but we were being made to feel like we'd been living like animals - despite always being told we kept it nice during the walk rounds! In the end we were so tired of having to deal with these liars, we agreed to have money deducted from our deposit so we didn't have to deal with them any longer. It is clear from other reviews that this company will tell lies when receiving negative reviews (your responses do nothing for you) and are more concerned about their score than anything else.
Edit: We had absolutely no issue with the property being taken over by an agent - as previously mentioned we had used estate agents before. The problem was YOU not the fact you're a letting agent. Your argumentative responses say it all - a professional company would make sure it doesn't happen again and apologise. The negative reviews all say the same - you are liars and don't know how to talk to people.

Edit - myself and my wife are 2 separate people that separately found you unprofessional and difficult to deal with. Maybe instead of worrying about your score on Google, you should concentrate on treating tenants in a more professional manner so you don't leave with a bad taste in their mouths.

We moved into a rental managed by you in March this year in lockdown, and you made a stressful time for us much softer. Your responses on behalf of the landlord who was also cooperative in getting the property improvements and other maintenance was first class. You had only just taken over the management of the property and your professional services has benefitted all parties. The speed with which you were able to re-let the property within the term of our lease, us having bought a new home, was exceptional. Your close out inspection report was accurate and informative with utilities meter final readings, the deployment of a professional cleaner took that stress away from us, and finally you have dealt with the repayment of our deposit via the DPS system swiftly. Gd Estates looked after my property for me for 3 years. From the initial visit from Tracey everything was very efficient. Not having been a landlord before I felt my property was in safe hands.
Any phone call made to the office was dealt with consistently by any of the girls. If need be a response was carried out quickly.
The tenant check visits were carried out on time and plenty of information given.
Gd also have approved contractors who carry out any work required and any that visited my property were very good.
All in all I would highly recommend Gd Estates as a Letting Agent.

Tracy is extremely unprofessional and rude. Cleaned the rental property until it was spotless and checked out Friday.
The agent didn't bother to come into the property until the Monday and proceeded to try and take money from the deposit BECAUSE OF A COBWEB.
Used another agent afterward. Much more friendly, cooperative and the fees were cheaper elsewhere!
*update since the reply* I was a tenant for a year with this company. A legitimate review dismissed because it is 1*. Tracy even had the audacity to scream at me down the telephone and hang up when advised she was being rude.
