I think I've only ever left one bad review, it's not something I do lightly especially with a small local business. I'd recommend avoiding Gebbie & Wilson when dealing with the estate of a relative. We opted to do much of the heavy lifting ourselves regarding my Dad's estate, we were told categorically this would reduce the initial estimate. It hasn't the costs have actually gone up and as yet with no end result in site. We now find ourselves looking at the prospect of making a complaint with the SLCC as a result of the changes in goal posts, misleading estimates and miscommunication (when there's any communication). It's been a devastating experience for our family. We requested a breakdown of the costs and have been told this will more than likely generate an additional fee! I strongly advise anyone requiring a solicitor to help a little with an estate to look elsewhere during what will be a very difficult time.... Read more

I did not even receive a confirmation that the offer had been received, instead, after chasing they sent an unprofessional response to a legitimate property offer. If I was selling my property and found out that the agent handling the sale required chasing and also sent unprofessional emails to prospective buyers I would personally change agents.
