GTH were great with us, from viewings (with Kylie), to putting in the offer on the house we fell in love with, updates (with Sophi), right through to completion. We moved to Ilminster from the Sussex coast, and the move with the removal company didn't go to plan, due to the 3 hour drive we were worried we wouldn't get to the office in time to collect keys. But Maria offered to stay on just in case, which was very kind and a weight off our shoulders. When we did move in, the boiler wasn't working, and GTH helped provide the details of a local gas engineer. Overall a fantastic experience.

Sold a house via GTH, which we had bought through them a couple of years ago. Sam and his team were thoroughly helpful and professional. Sam's assessment of the house and the current state of the market was very useful in setting a realistic and achievable price.
As we did not live in the house they handled all the viewings. We went to market in August and had accepted an offer from a cash by October. The sale process went smoothly and we completed in early December.

occassionally the agent showing us around had not done their homework and couldn't answer basic questions about the property we were viewing. When we finally found a property we liked the purchase turned into a very long and protracted affair because the vendor wasn't actually in a position to sell at that point. I was disappointed that GTH hadn't identified this before they put it on the market.

The property at 38 Green Street, Hinton St George, was put on the market May 2020, when it was a very active market @£235000, we had very few inquiries and finally accepted a offer of £210000 in November, throughout the period, communication was very poor, always blaming Covid, from the date of acceptance of the offer to completion, we had 1 missed phone call, which I returned and the office said, the person I wanted was on the phone and would ring back, no such thing happened, I rang the next morning and had the same result, we were not even notified when contracts were exchanged. This property and our own property at Ashcott, which was marketed by English Homes at the same time, had no similarity in how it was dealt with, we would never recommend GTH.

I can only sing the praises of the letting department of GTH, Ilminster. The quality of service and support is top drawer in all areas. It can be an emotional Journey buying or selling a property but I have found Matthew to be extreme professional, helpful and upfront in my dealings with him (also his predecessor, Andrew Perry ) and thank them for their efforts on my behalf.

I have used GTH Ilminster for over 5 years now for both the rental management of my house and the successful sale of it. I have always had an excellent experience from the team, who are both very professional and responsive yet also friendly and personable.
For the majority of the rental period I was an overseas landlord so relied on the team 100% for the whole package: finding suitable tenants, property checks and dealing with any issues. The sale could have been extremely complex as not only was the house listed and with some quirks, it was also during the COVID-19 restrictions so I was unable to return to the UK but they dealt with all communications and requirements brilliantly so the whole process went smoothly for me (thank you Matthew!). I would definitely recommend them and am very grateful, thank you.

Dreadful! One star is too many! GTH Ilminster.
Selling with them was a bad experience - they obliged me to do all the viewings - and the only one they did they sent Sophie who had never seen the house and arrived AFTER the clients.
They also passed onto us, TOO LATE, a better offer- upsetting a very keen extra buyer. Even stating that the extra buyer could not afford our house. This upset this extra buyer who sent docs to prove otherwise.
This cost us £5000! And our messages on this extra offer took more than 6 hours for a reply. And BOTH potential buyers were upset by GTH Ilminster.
Our house was probably undervalued- the actual buyer almost said so after staying in the area from the Midlands and viewing many houses- and took bridging finance to ensure their purchase of our house. Our buyers visited their office and the staff there were rude to them.
Calls often took days for a reply and Matthew was rarely available.
Our buying agent was great 5* Wilkie Tuckwood of Wellington so helpful and kind. But GHT Ilminster from the top downwards were awful- to be avoided.
An expensive and unpleasant experience - should have used an online agent or any other agent ! Appalling service.
No doubt they will blame anything but themselves!
VIEWINGS could have been done by them with the required precautions during lockdown AND THEIR OWN FIRST VIEWING WAS BEFORE LOCKDOWN! they seem to think that they should work office hours and rarely want to do the busy weekend viewings, when they are in reality just selling something..
Questionable that they can justify their commission which we reluctantly paid in full.
Interesting that their promised after sales feedback form never arrived- they KNOW they messed up badly!!!!!!!

Wow where do I start, we used GTH ilminster for the sake of our house and also purchasing a house they had listed.
From the very off what an amazing a professional and fun team, Matthew (who is amazing so professional yet so friendly and caring and an awesome chap) came out did the valuation and measuring and we sat down and he went over everything clearly and gave options of tactics and no pressure whatsoever and incredibly sensible and realistic pricing. And Matthew responds so rapidly when ever you contact him.
The house was up and listed within 24hrs and then in stepped Sophie and wow negotiator extraordinaire!! So friendly so professional but also massive massive fun she gets people and is astounding a showing houses and is very honest and down to earth and gets stuff done but in a fab fun a professional way and when it comes to getting the sale through the woman is a genius and works with EVERYONE to ensure a seamless transaction. And always available Sophie is always available to contact no matter how stupid the question.
And then there is Laura who just gets stuff done too and is lovely and friendly (and didn’t mind us spending hours at the house and was so enthusiastic as well and again is always there for questions.
Really cannot fault the team at Greenslade ilminster they made our move swift, organised, professional but oh my word most of all fun.
You will not meet a more awesome friendly professional team ever.

I just wanted to acknowledge the fantastic service I received from the letting department of the Ilminster office. They looked after my property in South Petherton for several years and I couldn’t fault them. They quickly gained my complete trust and were simply outstanding in managing the property and dealing with any issues promptly and efficiently as they arose. I was living away from the area at the time and it was extremely reassuring to know the house was in safe hands. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering letting their property in the local area.

Avoid at all costs. They did nothing but play silly games to try and push the price up of the property we were trying to buy. Unprofessional, unhelpful and obstructive. Would never deal with them again.

Worst mistake of my life renting from them , when problems happen and things go wrong they won't even email or phone you back . All they care about is your hard earned money and nothing else . Customer service is something they haven't heard of before.
