Appalling. Wish we had not signed a sole agent contract!
- Left the house unlocked and unattended after a viewing with lights on and candles burning. They have said they tried to contact me, which they did, and I informed them i was on my way home, only for them to have left anyway.
- Agents do not take the time to view the property before showing. Left it until a short time before the first showing...go figure if a viewer turns up shortly after them
- Do not provide (adequate) weekend cover - only one agent working until lunchtime on a Saturday to facilitate viewings - They have said they have someone working, which i'm sure they do, however they were never available when booking viewings in.
- Do not let you know when people cancel viewings - this is a wider issue of them booking viewings outside of office hours and not ensuring there is the ability for someone to let you know they have cancelled.
- Book out of office hours with no contact method for viewer/Vendor - as above
- 4 missed calls, a text message and 2 emails for a next day viewing for people who had not even had their house valued - this was all within about 20mins, do not be fooled by their reply
- Unable to adequately screen viewers and describe location of property accurately - more than 50% of people didn't know where the house was in relation to local shops etc so not sure how this can be considered accurate.
- Will do everything possible not to have to show someone round themselves - it was only after i protested that they began offering to undertake viewings, otherwise they never had anyone free before then.
We have experienced a catalogue of poor experiences with this branch that demonstrate gross incompetence and unprofessionalism. The event where the sales rep was asked to leave was following the barrage and rush of contact to book in a viewing, i then found out the viewer had not even had their property valued. They will not think twice about wasting your time, but are a lot more precious about their own. Please think twice before using.

A difficult transaction and no one could foresee the delays experienced from marketing through to after sales.
Others involved in the transaction including solicitors did not make the sale easy. Hammonds were professional throughout and kept me updated all the way through.

The only comment I would make would be that when we went for the second viewing and 'measuring up' the new young male sales assistant who I cant remember the name rushed us saying that he had to be somewhere else and couldn't wait long which made me feel I could not check everything I wanted to. I had travelled a good few hours to get there and my brother had taken time to come with me to help measure.

Chana at Hammond and Stratford was on hand to offer support to us purchasing our first home whenever needed, and always came back to us with swiftly with updates. Hammond and Stratford were helpful through the negotiating of buying our first property. More certainly needs to be done in regards to protecting people from losing out on properties and going through incredible stress due to poor communication from ASAP, solicitors and management companies. On three occasions we were told by the company managing solicitors that we were ready to exchange, all three times that was incorrect. We waited 12 weeks for a deed of variation and it just seemed the norm for a management company to not respond. This needs to change

My review of Hammond and Stratford is as follows:
Moving home for Alicia and I involved selling our house and buying a suitable bungalow. Thankfully we choose Hammond and Stratford to act for us, resulting in a successful outcome and significantly reducing the stress involved.
Following a market appraisal by Ben Green, Area Valuer, and a decision to agree Sole Selling Rights to our agent thereby ensuring a targeted, holistic approach we moved forward. An excellent photo brochure of our house resulted in its sale, subject to contract, within a week. Thanks to our agents recommendation we also had our offer on a bungalow readily accepted.
We liked our agent because of the superb, structured manner in which they operated. Our support consultant, Harriet Rollo also provided excellent advice and dealt with any issues that arose effectively and in a timely manner.
If you are looking for an estate agent that you can trust to provide you with a first class service with competitive charges, seriously consider employing Hammond and Stratford.

It's poor that you have to leave 1 star as to me any star represents a credit something this organisation don't deserve on any level please read the previous review that stated negligence in that they can't lock a door.. I also wish I had read it along with recognising this bunch of charlatans are linked to a review I made a year ago Dragon Fly lettings please read that as well.. I viewed a property shown by Lana a young girl who arrived on her push bike blanking me and my son as she rode past. NOT a good start.. Whilst viewing the property she interjected into conversations I had with my son like 'you need your hand held through the decision' in the most condescending tone.. As I was leaving the property Lana stated this isn't for you??? How wrong? As the next day and following a conversation with my son I made an offer 7k under the asking price.. it was allegedly declined initially and I received numerous emails and calls throughout the day trying to pressure me to increase my offer (all documented) from a very young and inexperienced Lana and Lucy who in her defence has been made an absolute fall guy by this shower of a company.
But then miraculously as the vendor needed an offer in place to proceed with their purchase it was accepted and maybe even a target needed to be met to achieve fake sales figure that week.. I receive a call to which I was graced by the prescence of Becky I hope my sarcasm graces you as well as hers did me when she said 'congratulations it's your lucky day you have bought your house'
WOW.. Great..Based on the news from this individual I instructed a solicitor to begin proceedings, I even emailed Lucy on Mondsy to clarify this.. no response..then on the Tuesday NOT Lana who did all she could to lose a sale.. Not Becky the sarcastic unprofessional (who as someone who has run large sales teams I wouldn't employ)but Lucy was given the task of calling me to state that despite the vendor accepting my offer they had continued viewings something that morally is wrong and I had been outbid.. but did I want to increase my offer therfore creating a Dutch auction.. NO.. prior to any response I suggest you carefully look at the indivuduals in your Attleborough branch. I can easily post call records and emails received. I only wish I had recorded Beckys phone call.. Needless to say if you market a property I like I would rather approach the vendor directly.. #BEWARETHISCOMPANY

We bought through Hammondlee but after a month or so wished we had sold our house through them too, if we plan to move in the future this is the estate agent I would use and recommend others to use! The chain was quite large and with added unfortunate circumstances this added to the stress, Becky at the attleborough branch made this as easy as possible for us with chasing certain people up and updating the whole chain, she was always at the end of a phone call or an email to advise or reassure which was above and beyond our expectations as technically we wasn’t her clients! Thank you for giving us confidence in local estate agents and making our move go ahead and as less stressful as possible Becky!
