I don't normally leave reviews but felt I had to after my latest experience with Holland & Broadbridge. I own 3 rental properties that Fiona & the lettings team have managed for me for the last 16 years. They have always made it a pleasure to deal with and always selected the most suitable tenants that were available at the time. In 16 years the properties have always been rented out and never stood empty. They have always kept me informed of any minor works needed doing & organised the relevant trade to get the job done at a reasonable price.
My Father has recently passed and was a part share owner in the properties so I had to get valuations for probate. I have never dealt with the sales side of the business before and was introduced to Alex Bebb. I cannot thank Alex enough as he was very understanding at this sad time and went about his business in a very professional and respectful manner. He liaised with my tenants and assured them that I was not thinking of selling the properties and sent me email and written valuations all within a few days. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others.

Dealing with Holland Broadbridge has been a pleasure. We recently engaged with them for a valuation and Alex who attended was a true professional. They had already sold similar properties and brough along the details of those properties a the local research comparisons. Once Alex had assessed our property we had an open and frank conversation about the comparisons and our property and he then suggested a valuation that we completely agreed with. We then had the valuation in writing within 2 days. Great service start to finish.

As I was selling my Mum’s house & she had recently passed away, I required sensitivity & understanding (I found some Estate agents I was considering to be insensitive & rude about the place my Mum loved!), these guys seemed to care & communication was great ????

We were very pleased with the handling of the sale of the house which we have now bought. After previous disappointments in the housing market we asked to be kept fully informed throughout the process which we were. Harry and his colleagues were pleasant and courteous at all times, our queries were addressed promptly and, where necessary, information was sought from the other parties concerned.

Overall a terrible letting experience! Upon moving into the property it was found to be in terrible condition, stinking of dogs and filthy, the previous tenants had not cleaned at all. Garden like a jungle etc. Tried raising this and were told its just what its like and that the house had been cleaned. Land lords "handyman" had been in to do some plastering and had not cleaned up or finished the job. Cooker packed in within a month, without going into details Holland Broadbridge took no responsibility and it took months and months to get a working cooker. Landlord sent round contractors with no prior notice, woke up one Sunday to find someone digging up the driveway!
Landlord decided to sell up 5 months into a 12 month tenancy, we then had prospective buyers showing up unannounced, viewings being booked in when we just wanted to live in the house, Holland Broadbridge (who were the estate agents) said "so long as we give you 24h notice we can show up when we want."
Upon checking out, letting agent turned up on the wrong day to conduct exit inspection, and had the wrong inventory! we were then accused of causing damage and mess which was left by the previous tenants.
In 8 years of renting we have never had such a bad experience.
I hope some lessons can be learned and future tenants have a better experience.

Valuation was way off the mark, some additional features, which was handed to the valuer, which other agents said were valuable, were missed off the sales literature, eg triple glazing NOT double glazing.
When these were added to sales literature, at our request, the property sold within 3 weeks.

From the first contact with Alex, HB's team have been outstanding in their contactfulness, responsiveness to our questions and creative problem solving. And they're friendly, down to earth and charming.
We have been very pleasantly surprised with their sales effectiveness too.

I can’t praise enough the service provided by Holland Broadbridge with the sale of our property. The team,in particular Harry, were helpful and friendly at all times and kept us updated through the whole process.
The house was sold subject to contract in the first week, I will definitely use HB again due to the excellent all round service provided.
