homefinders will not fix any maintence issues, ongoing plumbing issues left unfixed no matter how much reporting we do. they are extremely unhelpful, have left us without running water and we cannot use kitchen due to biohazards and plumbing issues. we have begged them to help us- we are living in a mould infested house with no sanitary plumbing system and sewage leaking into our kitchen. do not trust them they will not respond to any maintenance even in emergencies.... I have been renting a property from this agency and from the very start, I’ve had the worst experience with them. I have an Autistic daughter and another young child and from the beginning I made them aware that I needed to get the property ready so that it is suitable for them, i.e putting locks on doors, fixing the broken gate outside, leaking roof and damp in kids room. I’m deeply frustrated and concerned by how my requests have been disregarded and the safety of my children overlooked. It has taken months to address these critical issues, and in some cases for example, I have had to pay out of my own pocket to fix the roof and door, and front garden wall, expenses for which I have not been reimbursed. On top of this, when the landlord wanted to get a large tree cut in the garden, a company was sent to do this and they acted swiftly to suit their schedule, but left the garden in disarray, which remained unaddressed for 3 months. My daughter fell over the branches and mess which cut her leg and she was bleeding, only after this they sent someone to clear the mess. Additionally, it has been over 4 months now that I complained about damp in the kids room next to their beds which is getting worse now due to the winter arriving, yet nothing still has been done for this issue. Homefinders and Gassan and his team have failed to correctly address my concerns, showing a disregard for my family's and disabled child’s safety. I am appalled by the lack of service and the negligence displayed in handling these matters.... Read more

3 years of hell Let me lay out my 3 yearlong nightmare at the hands of this incompetent company: 1. To begin with their closer 'Mo' told us that the furniture was all going to be removed from the house (this was a deal breaker for us as it was all leather and looked like human skin) – Mo. had also lied to us about being allowed to use the top roof garden – another deal breaker. - Once we had moved in and PAID them (this is all they care about) we were informed that Mo was wrong, and we were stuck with the broken and cat chewed leather furnature and not being allowed to use a massive chunk of the house we had rented. 2. The house had not been cleaned when we moved in to a HORRIC extent – including an ash tray full of cigarette butts and toenail clippings being left in the office and a DEAD tortoise under our bed that the landlord had seemingly abandoned there (we later found out he had also abandoned 3 cats, who had been taken in by neighbours) 3. We were left without a fridge during the heat wave for 3 whole weeks, when I filed a formal complaint, I was immediately blackmailed by Lina, who started stating false complaints by neighbours about noise coming from our house (considering the fact that we were not even in the city as we had left due to the fact that we HAD NO FRIDGE IN A HEATWAVE this wasn’t even possible …..INTERESING…) 4. We were only given 1 set of keys for 4 people and we were never even given the main key for the top lock – we asked for it for 2 and a half years before giving up. 5. HOMEFINDERS failed to do their due diligence on the landlord meaning we were subject to bailiffs for two years aggressively entering our property, which was extremely scary and defaced our image in our building. 6. Our boiler did not work properly as a valve had failed for the last year, our widow had rotted out and broken, we had black mould in the bathroom due to the rotting windows, we had a rotten sink in the kitchen with a literal hole in it. (a surveyor for the building came and said it wasn’t safe and requested to the management company change it .. but of course. Nothing) 7. The washing machine was not plumbed in, and the oven did not work when we moved in and they were too incompetent to get us a new one so we paid for and organised it ourselves. Deducting it from our rent ... this was not made easy… when the man came to install it he said there were live wires under the sink and they could kill us at any moment – which he fixed… VERY SAFE. 8. The toilet was exploding sewage all over the floor, despite a professional telling home finders to change it. 9. Under the boiler there was also a live wire - the man doing our certificated told us AGAIN that it could kill us – he stated that it had been ignored by HOMEFINDERS last time. 10. They had failed to inform us of a sealed off room in the property – which is probably the 30th law they broke during our time with them. (Total and complete access to the rented property was NOT abided by) 11. When we were finally forced to move due to the landlords home being re possessed by the courts – despite our years of horror - we did our absolute best to help the situation – even finding a BUYER for the house so they didn’t totally loose it (we felt sorry for the children involved, not our count Olaf-esque landlord)- as we were being put out of our way we asked for a rent deduction (this wasn’t a huge ask considering we were by then living in a home which was rotting from the inside out and weekly bailiffs) we were given no information we didn’t receive a response to our email sent on the 25th of July until the 5th of September and in between we would call them and they would say they were constantly in court – probably other people suing them, or on holiday or unavailable) once we left they charged us 2 months full rent (6,200£) even though in our email we said we would leave if there was no rent deduction. I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of the nightmare. all I can say is RUN!... Read more

I want to send the biggest shout out to Irem at Homefinders she has been absolutely amazing! She is fantastic at her job! She’s thorough, and she gets back to you in no time at all, and she sticks to a word. I had a broken/blocked toilet and she sent a contractor out in the morning, who was great, but unfortunate unable to resolve the issue. In no time at all, she then sent out more contractors to try and get this toilet fix for me. They were absolutely fantastic too Ossy&Abdi! Before I knew it, my toilet was back working how it used to be. I couldn’t be happier and I’m so impressed with such a fast turnaround service. Well done Homefinders keep it up!! ???????? I would also like to make yet another shout out to Staisy Amod after she carried out a quarterly inspection on my flat. Just wish they cared a bit more when checking in new tenants and not having to chase certain things that are required for them to be on top of for a new tenant and wish the agent made clear in detail was are the conditions of tenancy agreement (its basic customer service) with no Jargon and clear line of comms before it signed , to let prospective tenants know if there be a break clause instead of just saying its for 12 months only. just to get the room filled , its rather dishonest and doesn't really speak volumes of a company that clearly out lines its conditions when there's a possibly you could ask for a break clause in contract , i just think its rather sneaky they reveal these details after you have signed you could have request one after you signed. Several issues: - improper tenancy report at inception of tenancy - property was not professionally cleaned - confusion on payment dates and pro/rata (below) - left scaffolding outside the property for 7 months (after resolving promptly, which was a positive) - very unresponsive to emails throughout tenancy - tried to charge rent on a daily rate instead of monthly (as agreed per contract) - on leaving the property proposed excessive deductions and explain normally these deduction were higher (often in excess of £1,000) and argued they were hence being considerate - charged £25 for the removal of a suction cap from the bathroom - charged £40 for professional gardening due to weeds (which we demonstrated were present on moving in but gave in due to delay in refunding deposit) - refunded the deposit 1 month after leaving the property (as late as legally possible) - only way we got traction was to constantly visit the estate agents Pleasant people in person, but a nightmare to get hold of and very unresponsive. I highly highly do not recommend this company - if you can, then steer CLEAR from them. How awful they are is reflected in the fact that their manager actively makes fake reviews (eg the one here under “Murat”) to boost up their terrible services. Terrible company been reporting issues s since before i moved in. They claimed to fix them. I stupidly signed a 24 month contract before checking to see if work had been carried out. It wasnt. I have them so many opportunities to sort them. I ended up having to get environmental health involved. As soon as this happened they stopped sending me receipts. Then sent me one for this month making out it was for 3 months ago. They are a Bunch of absolute crooks. They know every trick in the book. I am a full time investor and property developer. I have been using Homefinders to find my tenants and fully manage my properties for ten years now. They are knowledgeable to the point that I trust the advice they give me and act and actually plan upon it; in that regard I see them as partners more than managing agents. In my opinion one's team are a vital element in any venture and I feel very fortunate to have found Homefinders. The owner has real integrity, which seems a rare quality in the property world. I have recommended them to investors who deal in the areas they cover and to friends who are looking to rent a home. I have not come across anybody who has regretted dealing with them. My experience has taught me that no business is ever problem-free and to wish it so would be naive wishful thinking. The point for me is how do the people I work with handle problems that come up. The Cambridge Road office, whom I deal with, consistently pull out all the stops to keep things running smoothly and to solve issues as and when they arise. They keep my tenants happy too, which is vital for me, and not just for financial reasons; I believe there's a social responsibility and privilege in being a landlord and the last thing I'd want would be a managing agent that treated my tenants with arrogance or disdain (those kind of letting agents are certainly out there). My tenants have been with me a long time and I put that in large part down to the way that Homefinders deal with the inevitable issues that invariably arise in managing a property over a period of years (maintenance issues, rent hiccups etc that are part and parcel of being a landlord). If you're a landlord or a tenant and are considering using Homefinders then know that they'll bend over backwards for you if required to do so. Fraud warning. One of their employees took a holding deposit from us then vanished. Apparently they took a holding deposit from the second group of people who were viewing the flat after us too... I heard that a friend was told he had bad credit so they failed his application and refused to give back the holding deposit (nothing was negative on all 3 of his credit reports). They take the holding deposit from everyone, then give everyone but 1 person an excuse as to why they failed the application...Easy scam money Dodgy company, you have been warned.... Read more
