As a tenant, I would strongly not recommend renting property through Homelink unless you do not mind putting yourself in distress due to their lack of professionalism. I recently moved out from a property in Southwark rented through this agency after 2.5 years. Among other unpleasant events, the end-of-tenancy process had been particular difficult as they failed to communicate with me an official inventory check and key-collection date after at least 10 phone calls and emails for 3+ weeks. Rather than admitting their errors, they just tried to ask for daily rent for the period I kept the keys. The property is also maintained by the landlord and they do tend to increase rent every year without any improvements made to the building like installing a more secure key system and common area cleaning, so beware.

We received very poor communication throughout our experience with this estate agents. Myself and my flat mate were very keen on a property and made it clear from the start. We sent an offer in and didn't hear back only to call and find out it wasn't received - do not blame them for this. We both sent in the same offer at a more competitive price being told we would be contacted with any news. Nothing for almost 2 weeks until my flatmate called asking for an update. Homelink stated they would give us a call back regarding the offer when the agent we were dealing with, Zach, was available. No call was received so I myself called. No answer. We received and email from Zach 1 minute later stating the property had been let. Not even a call. My flatmate received no communication from the agency and they only seemed to contact myself even though both details were clearly provided. This has severely hindered our plans for the future and wasted much of our time, due to the agents lack of communication and explanation. We are very disappointed in the way this was handled.

The purchase of the property was very smooth, the communication and management from Angelo was great. He kept us informed and dealt with any queries, he was brilliant all the way to completion. We are very grateful because in the end, we have found exactly the dream property we wanted.
Following on from the purchase of the property, Homelink then helped us on the rental of our flat. Sheikh was excellent in finding good suitable tenants for us very quickly and his professionalism and communication was 100%. He went above and beyond to help us and also to help our tenants which made the whole letting process a very smooth one. We are extremely happy with the management of the property which is ongoing. A big thanks to Tunay who has been fundamental with this.
We can honestly say that the team has been wonderful, Angelo, Sheikh, Tunay and Zack have been amazing and very helpful with both properties.
The team continues to be there for us with any queries we have and they are all super kind, professional and always ready to help.
We would definitely recommend using Homelink to anyone and won’t doubt to use them in the future.

I spoke with sheikh who sent me an email to say that my 1 week holding deposit is non refundable if referencing has failed. I researched this and found it is in direct violation of the tenancy fees act 2019. It is illegal to not refund a holding deposit due to failed referencing.
Further to the story. I then found out that Sheikh himself chose to deny the referencing. I called the referencing company and they said my application is with the letting agents (sheikh) to either approve or deny allowing the referencing company to proceed with referencing. Sheikh decided to deny it himself, but tell me that I failed referencing due to a ccj which is a false claim and directly contradicts what the referencing company have confirmed on email which states the letting agent have not replied to continue referencing. Sheikh then sent an email to say that the referencing company have said they will not re open the case and the case is closed. Again, this is a direct contradiction of what the referencing company have told me, which is it's with them to decide whether to proceed or not. I know this is a deliberate attempt to tell people they've "failed referencing" when in reality, they themselves decided to not go ahead with referencing. They then try to keep your deposit as they email you with big red letters in the email saying your deposit is non refundable if you fail referencing Which is illegal.
I have made a complaint and I am awaiting a full review. If you have had your deposit unlawfully taken by this company due to "failed referencing" , you need to ask for your money back immediately quoting the tenancy fees act of 2019. If they refuse to refund your holding deposit then you can go to the property ombudsman and they can fine them and retrieve your money as the law is very clear.
It's disgusting that an estate agent would put this clause in their emails and waste people's time viewing properties just to attempt to retain their holding deposit unlawfully. All of the evidence is clear and documented and will be escalated to the relevant authorities to review.

During the viewing I was told that the flat would be thoroughly cleaned before moving in. I move in and the flat was disgusting to say the least. I soon realised that the flat had no running hot water.
I called them to let them know of the issues along with the fact that the fire alarm wasn’t installed. They said they’ll send someone. Despite my multiple emails and calls I was ignored.
I went to their office asking them to sort the hot water out and they refused to do it.
It took them a month to fix it and only because we were going to get lawyers involved.
The smart meter was overdue when I moved in which I paid from my own pocket. A few months later I had to pay for a parking permit which they covered part of it with that money but to this day, a month after my lease ended I still didn’t receive the permit or my money.
Honestly their after sale service is beyond a joke and the employees there are nothing but rude and unprofessional, especially Zach.

Called yesterday to book a viewing for a one bed flat. The lady I spoke to confirmed that the viewing will take place on Friday. As I hasn’t received a confirmation yet I called today to enquire and I was told that the landlord won’t accept students as tenants. If I hadn’t called no one would have informed me about it and I would I have turned up on Friday and wasted my day. Man on the phone was very rude rather than apologising for the agency’s lack do professionalism and terrible organisation. Unpleasant experience don’t recommend

We have fulfilled all of the contractual obligations set out in our tenancy agreement.
We have paid all bills up to date and no damage has been caused to the property.
We were told we would receive a cheque for our deposit from you but this has not arrived.
If we do not hear from you TODAY we shall assume that you are withholding our deposit unfairly and will therefore be applying to the tenancy deposit protection service that safeguards my deposit and request an adjudication and final settlement.

I have rented through them for 2 years: the customer service is consistently brilliant. Nothing is too small or big for them to handle and they are always friendly and personable. I have extended my lease based on their service.
As a tenant, you couldnt ask for more and good landlords should let through them if you want happy tenants who stay.

Today we telephoned, they said that the guarantor should have 45 thousand pounds of income for a rented house and we went to the agency, we were going to make an appointment to see the house and at the door they told my wife that the guarantee of the guarantor was 54 thousand pounds and what they did was a single bald and fake chastity was a waste of time they did to me and my baby. if they told me I wouldn't go

We supposed to have a viewing today, but unfortunately we dropped the viewing because at the property door, even before entering the house, we`ve been told by the agent that the property already have an offer with the asking price and a 12 months advance payment.
Now...how serious is an estate agency to continue with the viewings when they already have the asking price, so thus cheating and misleading the client who put that offer, also trying to extort a potential client with a bigger offer then the advertised price and the offer given in good faith, but used by these guys as a potential leverage. Don`t mention our time to go there not being informed in advance that an offer is already in place. It is disgusting really!

Really disappointing. Called yesterday about a viewing for a property to let. First mistake made was sending me a confirmation email of a viewing under someone else’s name!! I hadn’t yet confirmed a date and time at all. So I phoned back and spoke to someone else about it, who told me someone is already interested but no offer made. At which point, I asked for reassurance that if this person goes ahead that I would be made aware. They reassured me and went ahead and booked me in for a viewing this morning. Bearing in mind, my sister was going to the viewing on my behalf, no viewing actually took place as the property was in fact offered in the end yesterday. My sister wasted a journey to go there and she had to phone up the agents herself to confirm that the viewing was cancelled. Highly unprofessional and would not recommend.

I did a viewing for a flat in Baker Street and confirmed 30mins after that I want the flat with the deposit and papers ready.
I was promised the flat but never got a call back. Followed up on it three times and kept being dragged. Now flat is gone with no explanation.

I first came across Homelink almost a year a go and have been with them since.
They are easily the best agents I have ever had any experience with, and I have dealt with many agents.
Their service is fast and efficient but most importantly consistent. I find that the staff have a can-do attitude and I have always found that everything gets done in a timely manner.
I would recommend Homelink to anyone, and they are always the first agents I think of whenever I am asked to recommend an estate agents. They operate with honesty and integrity and that is something that is rare to come by.

Great accommodating team. Not only Sheikh showed us more properties, even twice for a proper review, he was also helping us with our decision and stayed after hours in the office to wait for us as we finish work late.
Harry, Sheikh and Angelo were very professional, friendly and supportive with our move and quick with replies to our e-mails.

Worst estate agents ever i deal with. Every times called them told me they will give me call back by that day, which they never did. Waited for them at least three month but they never called us back. By calling them is totally is wast of time.

Called enquiring about a property and was told a member of the team would get tack to me. I waited a week and no one called or emailed me so I called again to arrange a viewing. I received a confirmation text for the viewing but waited at the property for 20 minutes with no one showing up. I call again and the receptionist who I arranged the viewing with claimed I had not arranged a viewing! I spoke to her literally 3 hours prior and had the conformation text! We rescheduled the viewing for the next day and this time got a confirmation email, but one and a half hours before the rescheduled viewing I get a call saying that the estate agent can't do the viewing and needs to reschedule for the next day. At this point I gave up with them. At no point did they offer anything that even resembled an apology for wasting my time and inconveniencing me. I would avoid these are not the kind of people I would trust with my house or my money.

These guys are not so bad at all.
I had some problems but eventually they helped me to resolve them.
They are always polite, act professionally. Communication was great: it never took more than 12h to get response by email.
I'll consider this agency again next time.

I had my house registered for let with another high street lettings agency, after over a month of waiting I decided to try out Homelink. Within a couple of days they had found me excellent, vetted tenants that were ready to move in. The service could not have been better and their staff were both friendly and accommodating. They answered all the questions I had and put me at ease about finding suitable tenants. I would definitely recommend Homelink.

An overall helpful and friendly atmosphere all around, bar one particular member of staff who has put a sour taste on an otherwise pleasant experience.
I understand that in any household there are going to be problems, but when there is a huge leak in the house and the loss of expensive electronics is the result of a member of staff showing a genuine lack of care and commitment to the customer, there is a problem.
Would use Homelink again, but would go out of my way to ensure that interaction with this person were kept to a minimum.

In September 2013 , I let a property In Southgate, through Angelo Pantelides at Homelink. I was offered a fast, efficient and totally professional service. All calls were received or returned extremely quickly, all queries answered and his support went far beyond the 'call of duty'
I highly recommend Angelo and Homelink to all landlords or prospective tenants in the Southgate area
