Very fast to take your money and then ignore your calls and emails afterwards. I still wanted to proceed with the process of taking on the property even after all this. First of all I would like to say big thanks to HouseShaw for a wonderful support during my house purchase and all.
Especially "Steve Locke" from HouseShaw. He is very responsible and always prompt to answer your queries. He has expert knowledge in HMO properties. He guided me from in and out for the purchase and I am going to utilise their services for future purchases as well. He helped me to secure the offer as well. I am going to use their knowledge and services for getting my HMO licence too.
I got their reference from one of my friend, you wont believe he came for house viewing and confirmed me like this house is HMO compatible or not. Not only that while Mortgage advisor asking many questions about my HMO application. Simply I am checking with Steve Locke and with swift response he answers me with my queries. In future also I would like to be with HouseShaw and I strongly recommend HouseShow for their Knowledge bank, responsibility, swiftness and professionalism.

Have recently used HouseShaw to secure accommodation in Aylesbury. We dealt with Nathan from House Shaw, who from the very beginning was very professional and helpful, especially as we were first time landlords.
Nathan worked with us to secure a tenancy which I thought was optimistic, but he worked with our optimistic requirements and was able to secure a very good deal. Evidencing his competency and expertise as an agent.
Nathan was very proactive, and easy to get hold of post tenancy agreement, and made life so much easier for us.
Would definitely recommend Nathan and House Shaw for anyone.

As letting agents they are easy to contact and pick up quickly, however, we have been waiting on fairly urgent safety repairs for over 4 months now while paying rent on time and in full, which is why I’ve changed this from 4 to 2.
Edit* 10 months to repair a fuse board which was leaving us without power for days at a time.

I’ve not reviewed this company ever, and I’ve got a confirmation that I rated it 5 stars. Dodgy. I was renting with them property in high wycombe , boiler broke we didn’t had water for 3 weeks bc they couldn’t fix it , electricity bills are calculated for 2 flats etc. worst rental ever

John and his team have been fantastic at helping us re- home a Ukrainian family that had been living with us here in the UK since the war started. He was attentive and met difficult time restraints at each point of the move in process. His team have dealt with cleaning and maintenance issues prior to the move and have have been there since to sort out any teasing issues. The bill service offered by House Shaw is fantastic and makes paying Utilities easy with a clear understanding of costs for budgeting. When I first moved in there was no internet for weeks- HouseShaw failed to mention this (and still tried to charge full rent).
They have tried to take a hugely unreasonable chunk of deposit (£120 for cleaning and £250 for a mattress).
Please be aware and take pictures for DPS evidence! Don't be naive like me and think they won't try it on.
EDIT (REPLY):
Please find attached a picture of the '£250 mattress' with accompanying broken furniture and smashed tiles.
Also attached 'clean' 'fridge freezer'- you can see the dirt on the middle shelf and fridge door shelf. It is clearly not a freezer or clean. (Pics from initial handover).
3rd picture is of the room as I have left it (after spending a day deep cleaning). The reply below describes this as 'quite a messy condition'.
I have rented for 10 years with various agencies- houseshaw are the first and only to make such ridiculous claims.

Houseshaw have been managing my rental house for the last 5 years and I've always been really happy with the service they provide. John, Steve and Chloe are all super friendly and helpful and do all the jobs I wouldn't want to do. They are responsive to my calls/emails/queries. I trust their judgement on decisions about the tenants and house and I can rely on them to do whatever needs to be done. When a tenant leaves, they always find a new one quickly and the rooms have never been empty for more than a few weeks. If a tenant doesn't pay promptly they are on the case. They really take the stress out of being an HMO landlord.
I am so glad John bounded up the garden path when I was weeding 5 years ago to ask me if I'd like him to manage the house, and that I put my trust in him and said yes!

The HouseShaw team is like my extended family now. If you are looking for letting agents, then don't look any further, just go with them. They are extremely professional and very knowledgeable. This team is currently managing my HMO, and this team has started helping me even before I have secured the property, like property viewings etc. Their guidance in making a decision on purchasing the property and getting the property ready for HMO, and getting a license from Council are invaluable. I highly recommend HouseShaw both for landlords and tenants. HouseShaw team deserves more than 5 stars, esp Steve & John.

Having used HouseShaw for a couple years now, all I can say is what a fantastic experience I’ve had. HouseShaw go above and beyond with there service and are always on hand to help out when needs be.
