As a prospective buyer, I have found the staff at HPS to be extremely helpful. In my opinion they are managing their sales in a timely manner from the point of the For Sale board being erected to then being able to view a property straight away, there was no delay between the point of it being advertised ...with the board and internet. In my opinion this demonstrates their efficiency and is the reason why I would recommend them.

Travelled 300 miles from kent was lied to my face told the property I came to view could not be viewed until May. Was told before I left Kent to come fill out forms then come up to view which I did. When I arrived was told the property could not be viewed as it was being decorated. Wasted 600 mile round trip. Then told a day later that the property had gone as it had been viewed. I was lied to and found the girl on the front desk who carried on eating her pie while talking to me very rude. Avoid this office

After 5 e-mails the `front end`service is no better than an automated response service (in fact worse). None of our e-mails have been read properly and the default response is either `you have to register` or `we are not accepting any further viewings`- as such we have failed to register and failed to have an offer accepted - VERY poor and similar to the experience another family member had last year with HPS. I would never use them to sell a house if this is the experience prospective buyers get.

We have viewed several properties through HPS and have been amazed by how professional and friendly the team have been. Especially in the current circumstances, nothing has ever been too much and we’ve felt very safe viewing homes with them.
Although we have not yet found the property we are looking for, we hope that when we do, it is listed with HPS as we have every confidence that their team are the right people for the job. We have heard many estate agent horror stories and are delighted that we have found the perfect agent to help us in our search.

Valued our house low, took terrible photo's in winter & published them, even though we asked them not too (didn't notice until a friend pointed it out to us).
Also told interested buyers it was SOLD, when it WASN;T!
They sold it to a developer after 4 months, (on their books in our opinion) with all furniture & contents included.
We would have got full asking price if they had not published the photo's we refused during the winter months & was not bullied into selling fast, not knowing they took it of the HPS site weeks prior.
A developer scam, 'he claims his wife has recovered from cancer & has the all clear', so they want to buy all the content's cheap..
Then they sell on 5 yrs later for £95k profit, with our furniture & hard work as their own cost...
Avoid if you don't want to be screwed over...

We sold our house for well under the market value 5 yrs ago, furniture included as advised by this estate agent & have since found out this company took it off the market early. Now it's being sold with all our furniture 5 yrs later for 95K more.. I will be seeking solicitor advice tomorrow!

Absolutely useless! Spoke to them on behalf of my sick mother as she needs to move from west Yorkshire to be closer to me. Asked to view a property on her behalf they said that was fine but would call me closer to the time the tenant moves out, to arrange a viewing. The tenant is due to move out today. I've heard nothing from them so I called them today to see if we have a date for viewings. I've just been informed that not only have the viewings been done, but they have also accepted an application! So thanks for that!
And this is after the colossal fk up you made with my house! ????

The level of service at HPS appears to have taken a significant dive in the last 12/18 months or so. This appears to coincide with some experienced staff (who were always so helpful and professional) having left HPS. In my own experience, having recently had dealings with them on 3 separate occasions now, they have not been at all proactive in keeping me updated, leaving me to have to keep calling them. They have also failed to return quite a few calls when messages have been left. Note to HPS: please don’t adopt your standard response to negative reviews by saying “we don’t have a record of any dealings with you”. The reason people take the time to leave a review is so that you can take note and do something about it. Hornsea is a small town and until recently only had 1 other agent. In some cases we have no other option but to use you, that does not mean we are happy with your service. Sometimes there’s a fear that putting a name to the review could compromise future transactions. Please take some action to improve!

I am sorry but this estate agent has acted in my mind in a most unprofessional manner.
A family member died in an very sad way and we were in the process of selling their property but HPS spoke with the purchaser and told the purchaser the house was not worth the agreed amount.
HPS had no right to discuss the property and did not think to contact us.
Awful just awful behaviour. They have added hugely to our distress as a family at a very sad time in all of our lives.

Attempted (on behalf of the landlord) to take nearly £400 of my bond. All the evidence disproved the landlords claims as outright lies. Bizarre but thankful for the DPS.
Thank you for the reply. I do wish a Hornsea business all the best, particularly in the current circumstances. It is however very disappointing when morals and ethics appear second to the balance sheet. Surely honesty, integrity and being trustworthy are professional codes of practice in this field.

Can be very helpful at times most likely the best place in hornsea if you looking for sales and rentals. In my particular experience in renting a property from this outfit the staff have been very commandeering and friendly. Absolutely clueless. How they remain open is mind boggling. Undertaking remedial work without consent, failing to provide legal paperwork to tenants, providing misleading information to name a few of their fails. They were taken to the Property Ombudsman and ordered to pay compensation for their shambolic service, and still to this day refuse to acknowledge their fails as an agent. I cannot stress enough AVIOD!!!
