Our aim was to create an local estate agency where good, old fashioned customer service was at the heart of everything we do. Hi, I highly recommend Lafford James and would definitely use them again for any future house moves. We urgently needed to sell our house to secure another property that had come on the market. I called on a Monday to explain our situation, and by Wednesday, our house was listed on Rightmove with professional photos. We then had viewings scheduled for that same weekend. I worked with Ivor and Lorraine, and they were both outstanding. They even arranged a couple of urgent viewings on a Sunday, one of which resulted in the sale. This level of service is very rare for estate agents. Their personal touch set them apart from others. When our buyer's buyer pulled out (no fault of there's), they quickly found us another buyer and helped turn everything around swiftly. I could not fault them.... Read more

Ivor has been a nightmare from the start. I would not advise anyone to use this estate agent. He ignores requests, has next to no customers, constantly pushes very aggressively to get a seller to drop and drop the price so he can earn commission quickly. Lafford James were absolutely brilliant ! They are very professional Estate Agents, however much more than this. Ivor and his team managed the whole end to end process which included the full range of property maintenance, including gas, electrics, general decoration, flooring, tiling, roofing, etc.. whatever you require or surprises that arose were never a problem ! I had a very positive experience selling my house with Lafford James. Ivor and Lorraine were always on hand for any calls or messages, always professional and friendly to deal with, and more than happy to help push the process forward. Ivor is an Estate Agent with a difference that's for sure. He has a hands on style and is very knowledgable about what he does! We contacted Ivor after being with our previous "large volume" and it has to be said useless agent for 5 months and not having one single offer!! Ivor came to see us and having done previous research before the appointment had identified "issues" with the previous agent's presentation of our property plus the overpricing they had carried out! Ivor explained very transparently his strategy for getting us "sold" including a more realistic and affordable sale figure and all costs involved to do this. We made our mind up very quickly that he was the man for the job and asked him to market us ASAP. We sold in just a month for the asking price and he gained us almost as many viewings in that month than the previous agent had managed to do for us in 5 months!! We also used Ivor to assist us in the negotiations and purchase of our next property in Lincolnshire which is another service he offers, we were glad we had him onboard for this also. I really had bad experience with Lafford James Estate Agents. I had email from them stating that they are ok for the money which I offered for a property and they wanted Decision in principle document to confirm. I used the Lionhart motgage agency as suggested by Lafford James Estate Agents. But mortgage advisors not responded for 6 days and I kept updating this to Lafford James as well. However he kept telling me to wait. I asked them whether I can provide DIP from another mortgage advisor, which they said not needed. Finally after 1 week I provided DIP from another mortgage advisor(as Lionhart motgage was not responding), then Lafford James Estate Agents updated me (that too when I called them) that property was sold to someone else. they did not even updated me anything. Because of this I lost other 2 properties which I was interested as they also got sold (this was my first preference). NOT RECOMMENDABLE... Read more

Ivor has been fantastic every step of the way when we used him to purchase a house in MK. He is not your "typical" estate agent which was a breath of fresh air when you are looking for houses (or in fact buying!) He has fantastic local knowledge and is able to talk you through everything whilst at the same time not being "pushy".
