This is a long overdue review! Marcus sold our 3 bed semi in 2021! But nearly 3 years later he’s such an amazing person he still pops into my mind.
Late last night I was sitting in the living room of our purchase property and years later I am still amazed that this is our home, and it’s really thanks to Marcus.
Not only did Marcus visit within 24 hours of our first phone call; he worked flat out for a week, conducted 30 viewings and got at an excellent price incredibly quickly.
He also visited the property we now own to give advice on bidding to ensure we won. His comment ‘you’re lucky I didn’t sell this house’ forever makes me laugh; because he’s right. We were incredibly lucky. Not only for selling our home so quickly at such a good price but also for our current home being listed with an agent who only allowed a handful of viewings.
If we ever sell this home we will be going back to Marcus. He’s an incredible agent who really went above and beyond for us; and for that I will be forever grateful and always remember him as someone who we owe great thanks to for how our life has panned out.

I have got an appointmet to view a house for rent in Cawston right now at 17:30. 4of Sept 2023. I took note on the paper last week when the agent called me, so I am sure I write correct and I not messed up with the day or time. But nobody here, so I called this agency and they told me that is nothing in the diary. Because the agent didnt act professionally. and did not add me in the diary, of course forgot about me. I refused other viewing which other agecies offered me this evening, because I knew I have to come now to see this house. And now I lost all of them plus time wasted. The phone call was stopped while I talked and I was suprising myslef talking alone. I don't know if just bad connection in Cawston and interrupt, or of the agent just stopped the phone, but I don’t care and I will not call back. N E V E R . I do not reccomend this unprofessional agency

I called the agent on Monday to arrange a viewing of a rental terraced house. I was promised that the agent would call me back when they will be ready to arrange viewings. On Wednesday I called again and I was told that the viewings are happening on Saturday and all the viewing slots are booked. We live in the USA and I selected this agency based on the quick and very professional response from Adrian to my questions which I had posed to multiple agencies. He provided comps, marketing graphs etc. to give us an idea of what was out there. He guided us on pricing the house at the right price and ensured professional quality photos were taken. He guided us through the whole journey since we were unfamiliar with UK laws, processes etc. & responded to questions in a timely manner. He went above and beyond with issues we were experiencing with lawyers on both sides and kept us informed. Adrian responded to texts/emails all hours of the day being that we had a 5 hour time difference! We highly recommend Adrian.

I sold my house through Marcus from Life Investments and would highly recommend his excellent service. Marcus offers clear, prompt communication and excellent advice throughout the process. He secured a sale quickly at a price that exceeded my expectations.
I had valuations from several estate agents and Life Investments were by far the most impressive, what made them stand out was having a single contact person to handle the sale throughout the process and the approach to maximise viewings in times that are convenient for buyers (evenings & weekends).
Viewing properties with other agents made me really appreciate the quality of service Marcus provides. With other agencies it was often difficult to secure a viewing at all and routine to be shown round a property by someone unfamiliar with it, I think this makes a significant difference to the likelihood of getting good, serious offers on the property.
Above all I'd recommend contacting several estate agents when selling, there really is a difference, and to me the choice was immediately obvious that Marcus from Life Investments was the right person to sell my house.

We would fully recommend 'Life Investments Estate Agents' if you are looking to sell your house in Rugby. From the start we were impressed by Adrian Ray, with his preparation for an accurate valuation, professionalism Knowledge and experience. (Hence we went with them rather than two other well recommended Estate Agents who we had look at the house prior to putting the house on the market.) We were not disappointed, Adrian kept us updated along the way, obviously putting himself out to accommodate different viewing times. He made full back ground checks into potential buyers, (i.e. stability of any chain they were in, percentage of deposit to mortgage to buy the house etc.), so we were able to make an informed decision on which offer to accept. During the sales Lisa;

Organized amazing video footage and photographs of both properties,
Ensured our properties had a high profile on Rightmove which generated massive interest and excellent offers, resulting in high sale prices,
Liaised very closely, professionally and effectively with all the solicitors/conveyancers, surveyors, buyers and ourselves,
Advised on who to instruct and how to change the boundaries between the properties,
Recommended other professionals to assist in necessary certificates and work needed to secure the sales.

I should state that this review is about an independent person Melanie Wagg but it also states on the company site that it’s non biased inventory check out..
Melanie did work for Horts and she carried out the inventory for our check in and check out on 2 properties.
Immediately she took a disliking to us but the landlady sent a message to us through Horts to thank us for keeping her property looking so well over a 4 year period.
Horts told my wife to relax and enjoy the property as our home as she was forever cleaning and painting walls.
The 2nd property again 4 years we were told by Horts it’s show house condition, we bought for the property decking, rock / flower beds, kitchen spot lights, new hand made garden gate, bathroom shower screen, built a small shed for holding garden tools repainted front gate each year outside window frames and redecorated most of inside to a very good standard.
Melanie wagg told us via email our last date was the 3rd we waited for her at the property but she never turned up and instead told us by txt that she does not need us there for the inventory check out. That is so unfair considering she has something against us and her final report was for the landlord to visit the property before handling over the deposit.
The rules are the deposit is ours but the landlord appreciated what we did to the property and never tried to stop the deposit.
During our time there a bedroom had mould and a professional company checked it and said it’s dangerous but my wife had to clean it and the landlord never fixed the problem.

Marcus was recommended to us by the sales advisor from the development we have now bought on. We had a timeframe in which we had to achieve a sale on our house in order to reserve our plot and also to complete before the stamp duty payments started again. Unfortunately we didn’t qualify for the part exchange scheme and the timing was tight.
Having dealt with Marcus previously she put us into contact with him, knowing how excellently efficient he would be.
Marcus came to introduce himself and to view the house soon after. He explained the whole process thoroughly and put us at ease immediately. It was pleasing the he valued the house at exactly the same value that we wanted for it. It was all a smooth process from there on. Our house went on the market on a Friday and Marcus received multiple viewing requests over the weekend. Due to Covid we couldn’t be at the premises during viewings. Marcus was very considerate with fitting these in in blocks to cause minimum disruption to us. We received an offer that we accepted shortly and Marcus worked especially hard to ensure that all deadlines were beaten. He was on always on hand to answer any queries and his communication within the whole chain was excellent.
We couldn’t recommend Marcus enough, he made what could have been a stressful time very bearable. We also completed 2 weeks before our deadline, saving us a significant amount of money on stamp duty. We are eternally grateful to him for this

I over heard your agent outside of a property in Hinckley discriminating against a young man for being exempt from wearing a mask, would not let him view the property. Asked him WHY he was exempt. We viewed a property in January and it was one of those “you know when you know” moments.
Martin was selling that property and offered to sell ours for us. He arrived one Sunday morning, and made his presentation.
This presentation was pure professionalism and shear enthusiasm. We engaged him immediately.
He took over 40 photos and advertised the property through all available media outlets. Our neighbour liked the photos that much that he said he considered making an offer !
Over the course of the next 2 weeks, Martin conducted 18 to 20 viewings, and we received 5 offers. We eventually sold for over the asking price – what more could you want !
The move finally went through in July, having stalled due to COVID19. Throughout this time, Martin kept the whole chain informed of any developments, cajoled solicitors into action and provided reassuring support.
Even on the day of the move, it was Martin who was phoning up and down the chain, solicitors, buyers and vendors, to make sure it happened.
We hope this will be our last move, but if it isn’t, we know we will not consider anyone else other than Martin to get us through.
He is not just an estate agent, he is a project manager, and the project is to sell your house, find you a new one, and make sure everything happens as smoothly and professionally as possible.

Lisa Curley is an Estate Agent in a million! I have neither come across nor heard of such a proactive Agent. It may surprise you to learn that she was not even our Agent, when we recently purchased a new home – she was our vendor’s Agent. Our own crew were lovely folk but neither effective nor proactive nor helpful to us, when the usual early-day and last-minute complications arose. I kept saying to my husband ‘if only Lisa Curley were our Agent’. Having said that, we actually started to treat Lisa as our Agent, knowing that both we and her client wanted the same outcome, a swift sale/purchase. So, we kept Lisa informed of all complications in our chain (gave up on chasing our chaps) and waited for her to use her skills to help unravel problems – she came up trumps on most occasions. Lisa was brilliant from the moment we first met her. She was professional, understanding and proactive in selling our property. We have recently completed our house move with Life Investments. We were first introduced to Life Investments in January 2019 on viewing a property they were marketing. After several professional viewings on the property by Lisa Curley representing Life Investments Ltd, we then worked with Lisa to market our own property whereby we needed to secure a sale to what was then a very specific time scale. Lisa personally carried out all viewings on our property and secured a sale to the time scale required. Unfortunately, very late on in the process the chain below us broke down which meant we were forced back on to the market unexpectedly. Lisa for the second time in 6 months secured a sale which has now completed successfully. During both processes Lisa diligently took responsibility for the progress of our sale and purchase and provided regular updates at the necessary times. The consummate professional, the amazing fact in all of this was we were the buyers of a property sold through Life Investments. Our own Estate Agents were poor to say the least and did little to help with our sale offering bad advice throughout. Life Investments have been instrumental in the quick sale of our property and I cannot recommend highly enough Martin Pitcher and his team who have worked hard to pitch the house at the right level, advise us on how to present the property and then photograph it at its best. They then took all the hassle out of the viewing by arranging multiple viewings on the same day. This also allowed them to show the level of interest in the property by the prospective clients seeing each other arrive or depart from the property.
Martin’s advice on pricing and his subsequent dealings with our eventual buyers allowed him to go through the pricing with them and justify the figure we were looking for.
Once we had a buyer Martin was in regular touch with us, with the buyer and with the solicitors on both sides.
Giving good value and great service we were not disappointed and Martin worked hard for his money.

I am a landlord and investor and I first met Martin Pitcher from Life Investments when I was purchasing a BTL property through his agency. I subsequently decided to place one of my portfolio properties with him. I can only say that the service he offers is second to none.
Martin ensures that you receive the best possible level of service by ensuring that all details are paid attention to. I had long term tenants in the property I have just sold through Life investments and Martin formed a relationship with them and made sure that he was sensitive to their needs as I had requested, while conducting multiple viewings.

After refurbishing my home the thought of placing it on the open rental market was a daunting prospect. I approached the team at Life Investments and they soon put my mind at rest. They went the extra mile with the marketing of my property and the finding of really good, low maintenance tenants. I am using their fully managed service which is extremely cost effective and I have also taken their ‘guaranteed rent’ option for my peace of mind. My rent is paid to me on time each month and I get a detailed property inspection report every three. If any property issues occur they obtain three quotes and I advise them on which tradesman to use. I am extremely happy with the service provided and would recommend them to anyone who requires a premium lettings team.

We recently purchased and sold property through Martin at Life Investments.
Martin personally dealt with the sale of our house. He was tenacious in getting the deal done, very responsive, hands on and paid attention to detail. All of his efforts paid off and we sold at significantly more (10%) than any other agents had suggested we’d get for our property.
Life Investments offered the following services that we found extremely helpful:
- Professional quality Photographs of the full building, rooms and garden
- Marketing data graphs looking at response to the marketing over time. This data was very helpful to see if we were priced at the right level
- All viewings are accompanied by someone from the life Investments team who new our property and our circumstances
- Advice and guidance on negotiations - particularly helpful as we were dealing with an overseas buyer!
- 100% focus from sale through to completion. All purchase / selling issues were clearly defined and a number of solutions suggested
The entire Life Investments team demonstrated a high level of commitment to their work and were instrumental to a successful outcome!
We’ve dealt with several agents in Rugby over the last few years, and would highly recommend Martin and his team. Overall 10/10!!

Due to relocation I had to urgently find a rental property in the Rugby area. I emailed all Estate Agent’s based in Rugby advising them of my budget, location and size of house required. The only agent to respond to me was the team at Life Investments. Although they did not have a property at the time they found me a suitable home within 48 Hours. The whole rental process was extremely slick and explained to me from start to finish. Their referencing and administration fees were cheaper than other agents and I had moved into my new home within 3 weeks of my initial enquiry. They complete management visits every three months and identify any maintenance issues that need to be addressed. The boiler recently failed on a Friday evening. I had no problem contacting the team on their ‘out of hours’ emergency number. An engineer was instructed and the boiler was fixed by 12.00 noon the following day. I have rented before and can honestly say they offer a much better service. I would recommend life Investments to anyone thinking of renting a property. Matt Green

I work irregular hours, during the decision to buy and throughout the exchange process Martin was in regular contact without need to prompt or chase.
The updates provided were clear and accurate with no misleading or inaccurate feedback.
