I’m not one to leave many bad reviews for businesses but this has got to the the worst experience I’ve probably ever had. Had a viewing booked with the landlord directly through the lettings team at shipways. They failed to pass me the direct contact number for the person I was due to meet and only gave me their name. Turned up at the property on time and no one was there. Knocked on the door and waited outside of the property (which took me 1 hour / 50 miles to get to) for 30 minutes. Office number rang with no answer so I left a few voicemails letting them know I was outside. This was between 5:30-6 so still within opening hours. I also followed up with an email. It’s the next day and still no contact or apology from Shipways.
A 100 mile round trip, 2 hours of travelling in total just to have a no show of the landlord and no contact from the agents. Absolutely terrible.

These prehistoric sales methods don't work which is why I didn't sell with you. I've now escalated to the ICO as I stated 2 months ago if you contacted me again.

I was supported by Jessica Hunt. Jessica has been very thorough and supportive for me to move-in as quick as possible. My move-in happened in just 4 days which is by far the fastest move in I had in my entire travels across different countries however the house was is very poor condition, not cleaned at all and to my surprise I was asked to get the cleaning done myself and later when pushed I was told that owners of the house will share 50% and its been 2 months since, the 50% has not be returned and on top of it, the condition of green garbage bin is really bad, I had to pay addition 20 for contamination. I am not sure if I would be happy to recommend Shipways to any of my colleagues.

NO ONE and I mean no one would help us with our situation with the distance issue and making the veiwing but she went over and above to accommodate us and helped us find the perfect home. Just that extra touch to making moving into your new home that much better ?? we were also told that the application could take weeks but Jessica sorted it out ASAP, we felt like a priority to her. We did not sell property through Shipways. Dreadful experience with them. It took 3 weeks and several phone calls to even get property live and on market. Viewing were done and never any feedback and I was constantly having to contact them. I gave them two weeks notice and the next day they had an offer on property which I accepted, did not here anything for a further 3 weeks so telephoned again to be told that the offer had fell through as they couldn’t get mortgage. I would not recommend Shipways

Awful service. Were very quick to charge me the holding deposit for the property to rent. Then the landlord “pulled out” as they explained, and since that time (late May) I can’t get my deposit refunded. I had to chase for a month (calls, emails, personal visits to the office) to get the written confirmation that the refund is due to be made. Since that time - no refund and no response to any of my emails. 5 months! Special ’anti-kudos’ to letting manager Nahid!

Initially we were happy with the valuation and communication we received. And when we could get through to the office, the service was ok, especially from the manager Chris. But it became very difficult to communicate with them, always out of office or unavailable, and didn't answer emails. I don't blame them particularly, as I know sometimes it can get busy/staff changes etc. But they really need to sort out their communication.

Can’t thank Catherine enough for all the hard work she put into getting our sale through, a fairly simple sale ended up taking around 5 months due to problematic solicitors, however Catherine oversaw almost all our viewings and every time I called and Catherine picked up the phone, she did everything she could to at the very least get me an update by the end of that day! I’m not gunna say the company as a whole is perfect but Catherine deserves a pay rise and overall will recommend for as long as she’s still there ????

Shipways have rented a property on my behalf. To be fair, they rented the property without any issues. However, they have failed to pay me the deposit for over 6 weeks (I've therefore had to fund the DPS account personally) and it is impossible to get hold of anyone to rectify the problem.

Okay place but well out of the way . Cancer care place close by too i believe. Large lake , peacocks walking round you can buy food to feed them and the fish too mind the snapper turtles they are huge ????

Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional, unqualfied numpties who dont communicate between themselves. rarely return phone calls, given misleading and incorrect information, along with a few porkies. They are very attentive when they sign you up and then it's downhill all the way as 3 of us in my chain found out the hard way. Open day was manic when they messed up appointment times and I spent 6 solid hours with agent showing people round. I want my cut!!!! Wouldn't trust them with a barge pole. They are also commonly known as Shitways as I found out later. Avoid at all costs

I gave a key to my flat back a week before my agreement finished. I didn't get any confirmation or prove of that.
For my deposit to be paid back I had to wait 6 WEEKS!!!!!!! And to get it back I had to sort EVERYTHING myself. I was ringing there everyday to get mixed information. Was told several times they would ring me back which never happened or that my case is being taken care of by someone else somewhere else due to somebodys holiday.
Eventually they told me I had to contact landlord and ask him to contact them saying my deposit could be released. That I had to contact Council, British Gas and Severn Water and send to Shipways prove all my bills were paid. I done their job basically. Strange considering how expensive all fees were when I sign this unfortunate agreement with them.
I would not recommend this 'Agency' never to anyone!!!!!
In addition I also missed one house to rent because of their incompetent staff giving me mixed information.
