Absolutely ridiculous! We arranged a viewing with a property so me and my partner booked a day off as we really liked a property. We then go on the website to show our family the listing property and it says let agreed! No text message or email to cancel this viewing absolutely shocking!

Having rented via Lovetts for the past four years, I thought it was time that I said thank you. I appreciate that the agent acts for the landlord, but as a tenant I cannot recommend the company highly enough. Any issues have been resolved quickly and efficiently. The trades people they have sent in to the property have been 100% respectful and considerate, and although it is not my property, it is my home and this is always taken into consideration. I would like to particularly mention Cheriee, who has carried out the last 2 or 3 house inspections. She has been very accommodating carrying out her visits. She is very polite and understanding, any small issues or 'faults' within the property are actioned and dealt with straight away. She obviously takes pride in her job, and has excellent people skills. She is thorough when she carries out her inspections, and if I was the landlord I would have every confidence that my property is being extremely well managed. Thank you for making the rental process so comfortable and for being so efficient

I’ve been renting with Lovett coming up to two years now. I write this review keeping in mind that I don’t work for a letting agency and I wouldn’t know how things are done or how complicated their work could be.
So far, I think Lovett has been fairly reasonable and responsive to my concerns, especially Graham. During my property flooding, Lovett has been very quick with their actions. With their quick communication with myself and my amazing landlord, they made sure I’ve got a temporary accommodation and fairly a safe environment and compensatory measures until the property had been taken care of.
When asked, a lady at the front desk has been quick to put a notice on my letterbox so the postmen wouldn’t out any letters due to internal flooding.
Property inspector, Cheriee, is an amazing lady with a friendly approach every time she visits to inspect the property. She gives plenty of notice before the visit and also reminders.
Overall it’s been good and I hope it stays the same.

A friend of mine with limited English moved into a flat managed by Lovetts. From the outset, when she was looking for a property everyone she (and I) encountered was amazingly helpful, kind and efficient.
Problems ensued with utility bills being incorrectly sent to my friend culminating in her being wrongly referred to a debt collector. Again Lovetts have stepped in and are doing all they can to right the situation.
Whenever we need an estate or letting agent, we will definitely use them. They have gone above and beyond what you might expect, and this is true of everyone there that we have had contact with.

I let my flat through Lovetts and they keep it maintained and deal with the tenants. The good points are that they find new tenants quickly and efficiently. The downsides I have personally experienced is that the date the rent is paid to me can vary from month to month. I would prefer a direct debit so there is more consistency on the date and I can manage my own finances more easily. I have also had to chase a lot when something is being fixed. I never feel I can take my eyes off the ball with that, even though I pay for the service. Lastly, the couple of times I have had reason to complain, especially if they are at fault for something, apologies are hard to come by. This is my own personal experience though and may be totally different for everyone else, and whilst I have a tenant in situ I am happy to stay using them.

From the photos taken to showcase the house, the booking of viewings and the feedback received was all good.
The negotiations were all handled excellently when the offers came in and advice on who to accept from was appreciated, particularly in such an uncertain market at the moment.
David is very professional and explains everything clearly and has the patience of a saint, especially with our troubled chain and the length of time it took to complete, and me calling almost daily for updates towards the end!

When Lovett took over from Just Let's a downward spiral started and has never got better. I have been in the property 4 years and things are at an all time low.
Missed appointments for repairs. Was told they would be measuring for a new kitchen in September 2020. It's now November 2022 and the failed appointment never was rebooted.
If by some miracle they actually decided to send someone. Don't expect them to turn up first time.
No explanations for being messed about.
Staff are rude, unhelpful and pick and choose what they respond too. Intimidated in my own home with staff trying to force entry for an inspection they were informed wasn't suitable.
Lovett have a habit of loosing emails with complaints or that say no. If they don't suit they disappear.
7 months since reporting a leaking radiator. The repair works to the plaster and decor still isn't done.
The only reason Lovett are communicating now is because they want to do a property inspection.
No genuine desire to correct their mistakes.
A simple good will gesture for the inconvenience, stress and hassle is all one asks for. That's all I'm waiting for to move forward.

Joke of a company rented from them for 6 years never did any repairs, was rented the house in a bad state put loads of are own money in the house to make it live able never phoned back when trying to report problems and hired the cheapest people to do repairs when they bothered to sort stuff left with out heating and holes in ceilings from bad repairs. then got mugged of are deposit. After being told the house looked better than it ever had and we had done a amazing job looking after it. Cheers. stay clear

The lettings team at Lovetts are exceptionally professional, polite, responsive and friendly, I wish all lettings agencies were like them. Myself and my wife have recently vacated a rental property which was managed by them for the past 12 months and their service was exceptional from beginning to end, we cannot rate them highly enough. As with any property, maintenance issues arise - The team always had any issues rectified within a timely manner and to a professional standard by their trades partners. Should we ever move back to the area, we will not rent via anyone else. A special thank you to Tom, Emma, Audrey, Janeen, Hilary and Anthony who all played a part in the service we received. Such great service from the team at Lovett's.
Not only did they sell our house quickly (within an hour!), but when our buyer subsequently pulled out, they reassured us it would be OK and found us another buyer within days. David and Rosie were in constant communication with us throughout the entire process, so we always knew what was going on and where we were in the process; which lightened the mental load of moving and removed a layer of stress and worry, something we all need when moving house - it's stressful enough!
I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you to all of the team at Lovett's!

Thank you to Anthony and Tom at Lovetts who organised the bathroom in my property to be re-fitted. I have now had a new bath/shower & screen fitted by Preferred Plumbers who carried out the work to the highest standards and were a pleasure to deal with and I cannot thank them all enough. Steve at Preffered plumbing was perfect today came round to sort out a blocked pipe and realised we had no heating and hot water so helped us out massively and didn’t leave until he’d got us at least hot water back for the night! AVOID THEM! I moved in on the 1st December. Since day 1 I reported a faulty electric shower that leaks/floods all water to the floor and a front door lock that left me blocked outside of my house for 2 hours at night and NOTHING has been done! I have told them several times but they seem to be only worried about the landlord’s benefit and not the tenant’s. I wish someone had told me about Lovett’s poor service and I would have never stepped in their agency.

THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. Renting with Lovett is a nightmare. I have been living in my appartment for 18 days today, 8 of which with no light as they are not giving it such an importance as it's not their homes. Yes, the electrician has come but no, the problem has not been solved. They are aware of this but they seem to not give a ... I need to gi every now and them to remind them what their obligations are. I HARDLY RECOOMEND YOU TO AVOID LOVETT.

We rent out two properties through Lovetts and have experienced a first class service throughout (we also bought them through Lovetts and their work through these purchase processes was also excellent). We live quite a way from St Neots so rely on Lovetts heavily to manage these rental properties- it is very reassuring to know they are in such good hands and we trust the staff to get sensible quotes for any work/respond quickly to tenant needs etc. We highly recommend Lovetts!

AVOID. Absolute con artists company, AVOID. They dont care about tenants at all. Reported problems in a house for a last two years, only promises received. No one never came to repair insulation/deformed windows etc. It is easier for them to kick you out from house and earn on fees from next tenants than repair the house. AVOID

Update 2018: my landlords have pulled the plug on Lovetts and I have to say I'm heartily relieved. As a parting shot, Lovetts once again unilaterally changed my energy supplier to one chosen by them. That marks three times interfering with my electricity and gas and twice with my water. I can only assume they get some money from Spark Energy to whom they moved me but it's incredibly irritating.
I had only just finished unraveling the mess from the last time they did this, it's really quite time consuming.

I'm currently a tenant in a house "managed" by Lovett's and the next time I'm looking for a house would go out of my way to avoid another one from them.
The people are all perfectly friendly, they just seem consistently useless. To give two examples that sum up my many frustrations.
Autumn 2017 my boiler stops working. I diagnose the issue as a failed circulation pump, and call up to report the issue on Thursday. On Monday I call to ask what's going on, to be told there's no record of my call but no need to worry, it'll get sorted. End of that week I call again, no record, etc. The next Monday I call again, and guess what? There is a record of me having called before! But nothing's been done about it. On all of those occasions I gave them permission to give a plumber the key they have to the house.
I then went away, and got a phone call from a plumber trying to get in to my house with no key. Eventually, about three weeks after first reporting the issue, a plumber managed to get in to the house to then leave me a note that the circulation pump wasn't working. After much faffing about and another plumber being sent out to check that the pump really had died, my heating was fixed after about 5 weeks.
Example 2. It's coming to the end of my first 6 months, and I'm working on the other side of the world. I get an email from my energy supplier saying "sorry to hear you're leaving", to which I replied "erm, what? I'm not planning on changing to anyone else". Turns out Lovett's sometimes decide to change your energy supplier for you. I'm currently trying to unpick that mess, which is more difficult than I'd imagined it would be.
I'd love to say that these were two isolated incidents in an otherwise trouble free tenancy, but every time I've had to get in touch with them by either phone or email it's been an uphill struggle. I've found the best way of getting through is to send emails to every single email address I have for them. They also seem to take pleasure in messing about with utility providers because I had issues with their interference when I first moved in to the house too (water on that occasion).
The one good thing is that when you do talk to someone they do tend to be friendly.

Once your tenancy has started the level of customer service drops off significantly. Post-tenancy, lovetts will look to take you for every penny, charging you for minor items such as carbon monoxide alarm batteries. Probably fantastic for landlords looking to make a cheap buck, abysmal for tennants.

I understand you're trying to save face, but I was laughed at down the phone when asking to talk through my deposit deductions and had several emails ignored by your portfolio management team. I'm not the first on this page to complain at your customer service. Cost breakdowns were not provided to allow for suitable pricing of damaged items after multiple requests. This would have been useful when attributing cost between two tenants.
Unfortunately I work full time so I cannot put as much resource into fighting a tenancy deposit dispute as you and your team could. I wholeheartedly disagree that it 'would be unfair to ask the landlord' to pay for wear and tear items and you have merely proved my point that the balance of power lies with the landlord in regards to your management services.
If landlords and tenants are considered equal, then your role as mediators should be impartial, considering the extortionate 'administration fees' we paid when moving in.
Ultimately this is the first time I've ever compelled to leave a review and usually laugh at comment boards like this. However, this was the first time I've felt aggrieved by a company and its customer service. Thus, your completely insincere apology is belated and insufficient.

Lovett's have some of the best properties on the market, which they are perfectly happy to rent to you. After this point, don't expect too much from them. I rented a property with them for nearly 4 years and it was just one problem after another to which they are consistently rubbish at rectifying. After you've signed a contract their lack of attention to detail is second to none - when there's a problem or you need something from them, they don't log conversations/correspondences properly which makes it a nightmare when trying to deal with simple matters. They seem woefully incompetent as an estate agency/management company. I would certainly recommend running a mile in the opposite direction if you come across one of their properties on Rightmove...

Went in to shop in St Neots. Older lady spoke to myself and my wife. Customer service from this women was zero. She needs to go on a course. We asked about rented property and was pretty much dismissed out of hand. Had she taken the trouble to talk to us she would have found out that we needed a short term let, having just exchange contracts on our home and were also looking to purchase a property for about £400k
