21st Dec 2024 (29 days ago)Selling our home was a very positive experience due to the excellent services provided by Ellis Winters. The initial consultation with Phil was clear and useful. The photos, video and property details were assembled in a smooth and professional way, making the final listing attractive and informative. We were consulted at every stage. Viewings were arranged easily and feedback given promptly. When offers were received we were given helpful information and advice. As we proceeded to exchange of contracts we had regular updates from Phil with the on-line property-file being very useful. Overall, the service was excellent at a competitive fee. Communication with the team including Kristi, Lisa and Anne and specifically Megan and Phil was friendly, professional and clear. We would recommend Ellis Winters to family and friends without reservation.

Particularly Beth who has dealt with the sale of my property and the purchase of my new one, she has been open and honest throughout and always keeping me updated. She really is a credit to the company. The transaction has not been straightforward which was no fault of HR but Beth has been really personable and empathetic throughout. Thank you!

The property is in my daughter's name, but situated much closer to where my husband and I live, so I have been supporting with as many of the processes as possible to help my daughter out. Urban and Rural were aware of this from the start, and have been brilliant in their communication (ie keeping both my daughter and I in the loop) Their approach has made it much easier for me to support with the processes I could /needed to on my daughter's behalf, whilst simultaneously relaying all necessary information to my daughter. Gareth was the initial point of contact, and Daniel was the agent who pushed the sale through. Although the sale price was below what we had hoped for, Urban and Rural were brilliant at arranging viewings, helping to manage expectations, and persevering to push the sale through. After the offer had been accepted, Millie Connely took over, and she has gone above and beyond. Her proactivity and excellent communication skills have been key to things progressing at the pace they have. Really grateful for Millie's approach, manner, and support.
18th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

From the outset, Joseph and Kye were a brilliant combination of friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The photos that were taken of my house were amazing. I received a firm offer within a couple of weeks after months of no offers with other agents. The process was as painless as house selling can be! Very impressive, thank you so much!
5th Aug 2024 (24 weeks ago)I have rented through Gatehouse for nearly 10 years and they have been nothing but amazing! They respond so quickly to emails and any problems are sorted ASAP, often the very next day! Any repairs are done to the highest standard. All the checks are done when they are needed (boiler, carbon monoxide alarms etc.) I never felt like just another tenant when in communication with Helen and the team, it felt like they really cared and went above and beyond. I have not had a bad experience with Gatehouse in the nearly 10 years I lived in the property and would recommend them to anyone.

Jack listened to what we were looking for and a few weeks later, phoned to say I found the ideal property for you, and he had. We were then treated to the full Russell Killner Estate Agents treatment, apart from the necessary checks they did everything for us. The chain was long with some not so helpful communicators at the bottom of the chain, but both H & B stayed focused, and with lots of comms saved the day. Highly recommended for either selling or buying a property, thanks for everything ;-)

From the very beginning the communication was excellent, first of all dealing with Dom to arrange a viewing and then negotiating on the offer. We had quite a lengthy process due to solicitors and everything that comes with buying and selling in the UK. It was made a lot smoother thanks to Elliot at Lion Estates who was the sales progressor for the purchase. He helped with communication between solicitors and even assisted on our sale, this definitely eased the stress! They also took the time to arrange another viewing before completion. Everyone in the team we spoke to were very friendly, helpful and honest. I’d certainly recommend them and use them in future for selling a property.
