I have now rented a property from Ludlow and I would recommend to work with them , there is no time wasting they only send you properties that are within your budget and criteria , they were great at speaking to the landlords to ensure everything was ready before moving in , everything was done through them including advice on bills , broadband etc. Kern was helping us and anytime we needed to call was always there to Fox any problems that we were facing such a great lad ! ???????? If we move again I’ll definitely be reaching out to Kern again
UPDATED REVIEW… thought they were fantastic until trying to leave the property got completely shafted with hidden costs and loopholes in the contract .. will not use again

Ludlowthompson Canada Water were our Estate Agents when selling our property, we found them to be very professional, approachable and responsive. I would like to mention Ajay & Joe particularly who were very quick to respond and kept us in the loop. Also the office staff were fantastic if we needed to ask anything too. My experience with Ludlow Thompson, specifically with Morgan and Joao, was marked by several challenges. Firstly, there were concerns regarding their approach to tenant right-to-rent situations, which I found to violate industry standards. Morgan exhibited behavior that I would describe as condescending, and during our property viewing, he left the task of presenting the property to the existing tenants.
In my specific situation, I initially overlooked providing the share code for my flatmate, due to my lack of knowledge about this requirement at the time. However, it's essential to stress that no agency should discriminate against potential tenants based on the quality of their right-to-rent documentation. The primary focus should always be on whether tenants possess the necessary documentation or not.
In contrast, the new agency I later chose to work with efficiently handled both the right-to-rent and referencing checks, which aligned more with industry standards. This raised questions about Ludlow Thompson's practices.
Apart from the right-to-rent issue, Ludlow Thompson's communication left much to be desired. There were extended periods of uncertainty with little to no updates about our property. Joao, the branch manager, consistently avoided phone calls, provided vague responses, and lacked direct communication. Furthermore, Ludlow Thompson rarely used email for communication, which was unusual and raised suspicions, possibly because written communication would create a documented record of their actions. Additionally, the agent responsible for referencing, Charlotte, made commitments regarding updates on referencing status but failed to follow through on her commitments.
As someone experienced with renting in London and having interacted with various agencies, Ludlow Thompson's practices and communication, especially from Morgan and Joao, stand out as concerning. While my experience may not be indicative of every interaction with them, it's essential to consider these aspects when dealing with the agency. In hindsight, I feel fortunate to have found a more satisfactory rental arrangement elsewhere, potentially avoiding a problematic and frustrating experience.

When me and some mates were looking for a house for our next year of university Morgan Zolo was brilliant. Went above and beyond out of hours to help us as best he could, added a really nice personal touch to what can be a quite overwhelming experience

At the end ludlowthompson was not very good for us - we were in referencing for a month and they told us that the referencing part of the company was waiting for "verbal references" and there was nothing we could provide to make things faster. Never had an experience like that. Even though our agent was a super nice person, he couldn't provide us with more information. After we passed referencing, they also didn't provide the contract immediately or offer an explanation why they didn't send the contract. It's only after asking many times (and very forcefully) were they able to provide a response. Overall, after we paid the holding deposit the communication was mostly one sided and they didn't provide us with updates at all unless we asked.
At the end we decided to forego our deposit and go with another house! This would have never have happened if they didn't hold us in referencing for a month and had sent us the contract earlier. I think people in the agency mean well but the disconnect with referencing is just beyond comprehension. I think this company needs a serious reorganisation.
Oh and the part about verbal references - I checked with the person that they were supposedly waiting on. He hasn't received an email or a call or anything from anyone regarding me. So what were they waiting for?
I am just giving 2 stars instead of 1 because they're not scammers (I don't think). It's just a badly organised company.

Agency is a scam. Communication is poor and they withhold information in the name of cooperate greed. I would not recommend unless you want to waste well over a week to end up with them going back on their deal.

Signed with this agency around 3 months ago.
Experience with the house I’m letting has been an absolutely diabolical.
You receive a response every 10 days ( if not longer).
We were asked to fill out a report to disclose any issues with the property at the start which included key issues, tv issues, washing machine issues and pest control.
After living here for 3 months we still have had nothing sorted.
Our front door is no longer accessible as it will not unlock and we have had an ongoing moth issue in our carpets resulting in us tenants having moth bites.
No matter how many times you email in urgency nothing is sorted.
I cannot stress how unhelpful anyone from property management is and the lack of concern they here.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Called the agency in the morning and was able to book a property viewing that same day! Letting agent Morgan Zola was extremely proactive in booking our viewing and providing information about the property. He was also very easy to reach and took the time to answer all of our questions. Overall great experience :)
