A great local estate agents who provide fair and professional advice and a great service. They also go above and beyond to support local community projects and regularly provide sponsorship for our annual street party. Always happy and very grateful to have them on board each year.
Ridiculous they ask for a 1-day charge of rent just out of a wording game! We confirmed the end of lease date the same as the date we pay the rent each month. But no one ever told us before confirmation that the day is actually counted but not the night before. Why on earth would we pay for the one additional day given that we actually move out two days earlier to that? It was out of goodwill that we end the lease by the end of month sharp... then on contrary heard from them such an unfair and unnecessary treatment.
It is really a frustrating and disappointing process negotiating back and forth. Such an unnecessary waste of time.
I rented a flat from Alex Neil and they were so helpful and they responded my requests so quickly. I have never experienced something negative with them. Their property portfolio is very wide. I certainly recommend Alex Neil if you are looking for a property.

I was just informed that cannot move in to the property agreed last minute just 5 days before I move in. We had booked the property almost 2 months in advance. We had them calling us almost everyday for references that was sent to them. Lack of costumer service and finding a solution. I would not recomemder them . Make sure sure that everything is ok before you ended up like me looking for a new house last minute and paying extra money.
Hassan is a great agent, honest, quick always on time, not pushy at all, reliable, nice and informative. He kept me up to date all the time. Totally happy with the result! Great work!! can recommend him at anytime!!! Thank you Hassan and the team at Rotherhithe
DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY
Hastings may have an amazing property portfolio but they employ pushy and hard-sell tactics to make you part with your money. Completely unprofessional and irresponsible; you will be passed around from person to person when something does goes wrong.
Luckily, the deal fell through with this company before we signed the final tenancy agreement. Even then, it took them over a month to refund our holding deposit and with us placing numerous calls and emails to remind them. They will just wash their hands off any responsibility, and push one another under the bus to save their own backside.
The icing on the cake was these greedy clowns did not refund our debit card processing charge even though they were the ones to mess up the deal.
The people we had the misfortune to deal with were, primarily: Sarah Twiner (Rotherhithe branch); Sal Matthews (Rotherhithe branch); Stephan Daniels (Lettings Portfolio Manager).
I would warn both prospective landlords and tenants from using this agency. They had obviously agreed to our requests before obtaining the landlord's approval in order to transact a sale. Their agent also suggested we cut an extra set of keys without the landlord's knowledge or consent.
For tenants, they were unable to provide a clear breakdown of their (very high) fees and did not send us terms and conditions of our holding deposit, even after we had requested them.
If we could give negative stars for this review, we would. This company clearly has an organisational culture that at best turns a blind eye, and at worst encourages their agents to behave without any regard for the guidelines set out in the Property Ombudsman, to which they self-proclaim to subscribe to.

I have never experienced such amazing service, like i have receive from two employees from felicity j lord. Both Cara and Carina were exceptional. Their knowledge, their experience, their care and their patience. Their customer service was something that many other companies could definitely learn from. I would highly recommend these ladies

We dealt exclusively with Lewis at Foxtons London Bridge. He was always available, flexible and very professional. Exactly what you need in an Estate Agent. Thanks!
Foxtons London Bridge just managed a sale of our apartment. They worked together with Alexander Hall (their in house mortgage adviser that was arranging a mortgage release + a new mortgage for the buyers). We firmly believe the company was protecting interests of the buyers (who worked with their mortgage adviser) in this case rather than the seller/ours. We have done >10 transactions in London in the past and understand the buying & selling process fairly well.
Long story short the whole sale was managed to a completion date that precisely suited the buyers (to the specific date) whilst leaving us hanging throughout the process that saw a delay of 1.5 months for no good reason (explanation: "a document that Santander normally sends in two days is now taking ~3 weeks to deliver").
Foxtons refused repeatedly to re-market the property despite our repeated requests throughout the process - which ultimately gives greater power to the buyer as the Spring window for selling is closing and you are just left wondering whether the buyer will proceed or not.
All in all, we felt cheated in the process after paying a ridiculous fee for this service. Still don't understand how a lawyer can earn £800 for a sale and an agent £16.2k on the same apartment when not even monitoring the case correctly (assured us multiple times 'they cannot see exchange happening past end of May' which led us to losing £4.5k in rent elsewhere where we served notice early to tenants).
The case will be passed to the financial ombudsman office as I don't trust their internal reviews.
My advice is -> if you have a choice, then avoid them. If you are already stuck with them, don't take their advice throughout the process and demand they work in line with your (not their) expectations/instructions, especially if this is not your first transaction. You are paying them, not the buyer (even if they want to take advantage of the fact that it is a buyer's market at the moment and their mortgage broker may want to win additional business by promising to work closely with the estate agent).
I've dealt with OJ for over 15 years - first as a tenant, then bought my house off them and recently used them to sell it. A thoroughly professional outlet offering a skilled sales team, and also good quality service chasing the sale through from offer to exchange. Highly recommended.
A massage to landlords
Avoid this agency at all cost! They are bunch of liars! Very clumsy and unprofessional.
We found tenants through this agency and after a while we realised our tenant moved out, and rented out our flat to someone else. They misused our flats, and the agency did absolutely nothing to support us. Not a single help to even help us. when we first rented our property we mentioned to family only. A brother and sister came along, and they only introduced the sister so they could let out our flat. Later, the sister moved out oversease and her brother sublet our flat! All along, they went with without a signle word to us. They even manipulated us with the moving out day, even though we would lose, so they could faster re- market our property without our consent! They are bunch of losers pretending to be professional!
