We bought a property in Oldfield Park back in 2015 through Madison Oakley. Very straightforward transaction and my great niece used it for her stay at Bath University. Once she no longer needed it they let the property for us, finding us very suitable tenants, looking after the property and providing us a good return on our investment. We chose Madisons due to their experience in selling property. No sales talk just the required facts, info and what we needed to know to sell the house, which was greatly appreciated. We had a slightly longer sale period due to requiring deeds and probate but Madisons staff all gave excellent service, advice and help throughout. Photos and info of the property were superb and any unusual question I asked was answered with patience and understanding. In the end the sale price was pretty much as Madisons originally specified.

Madison Oakley is locally and colloquially referred to as Madison Hopeless, a name they truly lived up to in my 12 months less 5 days as a tenant with them. Collectively, the staff must have fewer than 35 IQ points; at best they caused stress and inconvenience and on several occasions they broke the law (such as terminating our contract early i.e. breaking a legally binding document, and on two separate occasions they sent contractors out without notifying us, the paying tenants, beforehand (for a repair that was never even carried out)). If you are looking to take out a tenancy AND you want peace of mind, you should steer clear of Madison Hopeless.

The sales brochure created showed our home well, and Carey had investigated the history of the house that we were unaware of. All viewings were conducted at times that were convenient to us. Once an offer, we had several, was agreed they continued to follow up questions in a friendly and brilliant manner. We thoroughly recommend their outstanding service.

Terrific service! I used Madison Oakley to sell my property and they could not have been more considerate or conscientious. They were expertly informed and honest in their appraisal of the house, supremely efficient in securing a buyer and enormously helpful throughout what came next. They went so far as to help find a new insurer for the property at short notice when my old insurance lapsed and could not be renewed due unexpected Brexit nonsense. They even visited the property regularly, as I was unable to do so. At all times they were friendly and happy to explain what was going on. I really don't think I could have had a better experience. I'd give them six stars if I could.

Unprofessional as it goes. Arranged a viewing, then they said they have a lot of interest and we should make an offer that excees asking rental price. The works were unfinished and they said if you finish them yourselves and pay from your pocket it will count to your benefit for renting the property. Worst agents in Bath.

From the initial valuation where Carey arrived with lots of information and a great overview of why he had settled on the price suggested, I felt far more at ease and comfortable than with any other estate agents. Madison Oakley have recently sold two properties for me in Bath. One was my own and the other for which I was acting as an Executor.
I have bought and sold numerous properties over the years and with some justification the criticism estate agents often receive is well deserved.
However, the service from Carey, Amanda and Sarah was of the highest order with regular updates.
I should also add that Carey has since advised me on a couple of different matters completed unrelated to the sale of the properties.

The process of buying and selling houses is loaded with weighty decisions, not least who / what you will use to place your property on the market. Safe to say, there was not a single moment (in what turned out to be a long and challenging process) that we regretted our decision to appoint Madison Oakley as our estate agents. Cannot recommend at all. Asked them out to value my property as I had seen so many of their signs in Bath, but wish I hadn't bothered. From the moment he arrived, he couldn't stop pointing out negative things about the place, not once did he mention anything positive. He then sat down and gave me a 30-minute spiel about how "differently" he works to all of the other agents, which was a load of rubbish. I ended up selling my place with another agent for 15% more than Madison Oakley recommended, to the first person who viewed it! Madison Oakley were offensive, arrogant and I would not recommend them at all.

My wife and I recently completed the purchase of our first house through Madison Oakley and were very impressed with the service we received. Our queries were always answered promptly and we were constantly updated with the progress of the case without the need to chase them. Carey was helpful, insightful and maintained a constant professionalism throughout, despite having to deal with our below-par solicitor. We chose Madison Oakley to sell our property as we were impressed with Carey's thorough approach to valuing the property and his knowledge of the local property market (Oldfield Park). He also gave us one of the highest valuations which normally should set alarm bells ringing but in this case his instincts were sound and we sold on the first day of viewings for full asking price.
Aside from this obvious plus, we found Carey and Will to be extremely helpful, friendly and easy to deal with throughout which made the whole process far less stressful than it might have been! If you are thinking of selling in Oldfield Park I would definitely recommend Madison Oakley.

Madison Oakley helped us find and purchase our first home. Their online descriptions of each property were excellent, including a full map of every room. During viewings they were also very knowledgeable about the properties themselves, knowing their histories and previous modifications that had been done to the buildings.
Unlike other estate agents we encountered, Madison Oakley took their profession very seriously, and were also very helpful when we were negotiating with the (very difficult and disorganised) seller of the property. Have already recommended them to several other people finding and letting properties within Bath.
