Second time we've used Mark Rice over a 10 year period. First time to purchase, 2nd time to sell. I CANNOT FAULT this Estate agency, professional from start to finish. Unlike the multiple location agents who don't seem to worry whether they even answer emails sent! Yes, I'd use MARK RICE again, without doubt. I suggest you consider them too.

I have just finnished a tennacy with Mark Rice in Sleaford and iv had such a positive experience with Rachel and Karen in the letting department. They are extremely responsive and any issues I have had have been responded to and solved incredibly quickly! They have regular maintenance contractor's that are always punctual and very respectful in the house. Every inspection Karen is really polite, respectful and genuinely a pleasure to have come to my home with the inspections not being awkward or intimidating atall!
If I could rent from them again I would absolutely do so.

As a renter, they were fine. They did rectify issues etc
On leaving they did everything in their power to make my deposit equal the full amount. And somehow my full deposit wasn't protected.
I agreed to some things on the deposit as I felt fair and understandable... , but I thoroughly cleaned the whole house, every cabinet, washed carpets (6 hours I meticulously did this).
They emailed me saying I had to do a "hygiene clean" on the house check out list.
After leaving they charged me independently for full carpet cleans and the house clean separately. Carpets £70. House charged seoarely at £360.
A house clean involved a kitchen, bathroom, and some windowsills in other rooms ? Their prices are insane and when I fulfilled my requirements as a tenant cleaning and paying a cleaner to do the oven? . Be careful!

From start to finish, Mark and his team have been the consummate professionals. Their knowledge of the local market is second to none and despite the slump in the market were always on the phone offering words of encouragement and highlighting that they were there for me.
When Mark first visited our house to provide an appraisal he sold us on the have that they were a local company with their friends as their customers. He and his team certainly lived up to that promise.

Mark Rice Estate Agents were our vendor's agent and whilst we were not in direct contract with them, they were a very important link in the wider move chain. Things were not straightforward following a break in the lower chain and we came to rely on Frances and Laura to ensure that the upper chain was kept informed and committed to progressing the sale and our purchase. We greatly appreciated the weekly updates and willingness to work with us to enable the move. Happily, exchange and completion happened and Frances stayed on board to support us with post-sale enquiries. Estate agency is not just about getting a buyer. Shambles never heard anything like it!!!! I believe they are money laundering or Definitely have property’s assigned to Members of staff or friends and family !! Staff are unprofessional ignorant and unhelpful. Wanted to purchase a property give over asking price and told I have first viewing appointment of the property and that I couldn’t place an offer without seeing the property. Then to be met with an unhelpful member of staff saying the property has two offers the day before you are viewing the property even though I enquired first and was told I had first viewing of the property. She then went on to say that I shouldn’t bother seeing the property as it would be a waste of my time even though I was interested I wanted to pay over asking. Tried to tell another member of staff about this and they seemed unfazed at how I was treated. later on after viewing the property all of a sudden it was as if it had to be taken off the market the last and final offers in by the end of closing ,so all in all the property was only on the market for four days and they couldn’t possibly have any more viewings or offers put on the property they were overwhelmed by it never heard anything like it .

We had to sell our mum's bungalow remotely, because we live a long way away. Mark, Laura and the team have been absolutely fantastic from the beginning to end of the sale. We have been kept informed regularly every step of the way, and they have gone out of their way to support us at all times. The attention to detail has been fantastic, even recommending a house clearance specialist, and going to collect meter readings before completion.

We chose Mark after he visited us and we were impressed with what we were being told and Mark’s honesty with us, we had a few conditions regarding when we could vacate the property Mark saw this as no issue and they would ensure potential buyers were aware of this prior to viewing, others saw this as an issue. Dan came and undertook the photos and measuring up of the house for the brochure which was completed quickly and published on their website as well as the major sites. The day to day dealings we had were with Frances and she also undertook the viewings. Within weeks we had a buyer lined up and throughout the process Frances, Mark and Dan ensured we were kept up to date with progress as well as the buyer and our Solicitor. When a problem occurred Frances was amazing and her experience enabled her to assist in smoothing out the problem that delayed exchange by 2 months. I would highly recommend Mark Rice and the team to anyone selling a property in the Sleaford area.

We had been viewing property's for my Daughter for several weeks and had dealings with multiple estate agents in the Sleaford area. We had met both Mark Rice & Ben Lafferty on a few occasions and had built up a good rapport with Ben. When my Daughter finally saw a property that she liked we submitted an offer, even before the property was fully marketed. Ben dealt with the offer process and kept us fully up to date with the negotiations which were done and dusted with no fuss in under an hour with both my Daughter (the buyer) and the vendor both really pleased with the outcome. Now some 9 weeks later since the offer was accepted my Daughter has the keys to her new home. Ben kept both myself and my Daughter appraised of the sale every step of the way & we always felt we were able to approach any of the staff with any queries. The staff at Mark Rice were all very friendly but totally professional, I would not hesitate recommending the agency for buying or selling.

I chiefly dealt with Mark RIce & Ben Lafferty the Sales Negotiator. Mark did my valuation & we discussed the market & how to approach the sale in detail with really helpful advice. If you are looking at renting a property, give this company a wide berth. Once you sign on the dotted line, you cease to exist. I have had to battle constantly to have repairs done. I've even had to involve the council to solve issues. The only thing they are good at is constant inspections bordering on harassment . they say it's to see if the property needs any repairs, fair enough, but they do nothing about them. I reported a broken fire door, a month went by, not untill the council inspector came round did the door get fixed. You have to issue legal threats to get anything done. I have never encountered such terrible customer service in my life. I would love Mr. Rice to comment and try to explain himself. The only reason they get 1 star is because my review wouldn't get posted with no rating. They would get a minus if possible.
