We have just purchased a property in Rochester which was sold by Martin & Co. I would highly recommend their professional and friendly service. We dealt mainly with Cindie, who bent over backwards to respond quickly to all our requests and accommodate our requirements. When we moved abroad, we decided to rent out our home in Medway and we chose Martin & Co to manage it for us. We were so happy with their service that when we later decided to sell the property, they were the obvious choice. They did an excellent job at both.
We liked their no-nonsense approach to solving problems and getting things done, and their advice was always spot on. The whole team was professional, experienced and super friendly. Highly recommended.

I would like to thank the team for the support they have given during the sale of my property. From the first meeting Martin and Co were highly professional and this is why I instructed them. We initially met with Malcolm who was helpful but I would especially like to thank Cindie who was there when I needed support with the sale, especially towards the end when we exchanged contacts and completed. Martin and Co are not the largest estate agent in the area but they do offer a personal touch that you would not get from all agents. It was not the easiest time to sell a house during the recent events and they did pull out all the stops to help us.

We are acting as executors of an estate. This involves selling a house. We were dismayed when lockdown started very soon after the house was put in the market, and were resigned to not being able to selling the property for the long foreseeable future.
Malcolm Vint at Martin and Co, Rochester office, offered the service of virtual viewings to those prospective buyers who had shown an interest when seeing the property online. Viewings were arranged promptly and conducted individually for two different families. The agent was in the house with smart technology which allowed her to show the clients every detail of each room, and they could ask detailed questions to which they could see the answer on their screen. An offer was received, negotiated, and accepted following this process. The offer was subject to confirmation following a physical viewing once restrictions were eased. This has now taken place and has been confirmed.
We were delighted with this service. It has provided a new home for the purchasers, and a successful, rapid solution to our situation as executors of the estate.

Do NOT use them to sell your property, what a waste of our time!!! Our house was under offer a month ago and we paid solicitor fee to progress the sale. However we only found out today that our buyer pulled out long time ago, but they never informed us. No email or phone call envidence showing that they informed us. Full of lies!! Wasting our time, now we can't proceed with our next house purchase. The manager is rude, the emails she sent was most with rude tone of the voice, never being polite and friendly, shame for being in a service industry!!!

My brother and I have been renting our property via Dawn, Sherrie and the team at the Medway office for last 5 years or so.
The service, the client experience, and the support we have received have been second to none.
If you want to experience and see what GREAT customer service looks like, just look at the Medway Office, because they are an exceptional team.
Both my brother and I are truly grateful and blessed to have them manage my brother's property.

Having had an extremely bad letting agent I decided to move to the well established Martin & Co group and have not looked back. I have followed this Medway branch from Gravesend to Chatham and now to their present location in Rochester for ten years. Their standard of service on full management is impeccable and they normally resolve any problems immediately without fuss. Unfortunately The Lady's of Rochester are so good that I only get to see them at Christmas to give them their well deserved presents. I cannot recommend them more highly.

I Just rented a flat with them. They been very helpful and they do all the paperwork clear and right. I saw the flat before move in and was cleaned as they said. Been abroad while the process of sign all papers wasn’t a problem as they sent to me all by email and able to sign by acrobat sign. The deposit is well keep on a secure deposit protection service.

Myself and my partner would like to thank Sandra and the rest of the team in Rochester for the wonderful service they have provided for us and our little boy. We went into the process of moving pretty much blindfolded as it it our first place as a family. We noticed this property on Facebook Market place, and it was a really good price per month for the area. We had struggled to find something in this area that was spacious for our family. We met Sara on a Saturday and fell in love with the house instantly! We paid a holding fee later that day and began the referencing process. The referencing agency themselves were not very helpful, somehow getting a contractor of my place of work as my place of work and were surprised when they said they didn’t know who I was. This was stressful in itself as I was hoping and praying that I would still be able to move into the Dream House. Everything came back positive and then I was counting down the days to move! The process was so easy, uploading my documents online, rather than having to pop in and have copies taken before anything happened. The tenancy agreement was signed online and so was the DPS paperwork. We then visited the office to collect the keys and show ID in person.
Martin and Co use property file to manage the tenancy, which was really handy as my meter readings were uploaded, which saved me a job! Still fiddling around to see what’s on there but no issues so far!
Really friendly team at Martin and Co, From Sara showing us our new home, Sandra talking us through the deposit and the new process since the law changed in June, to Lacy sorting out the details of our new tenancy. All really knowledgeable and happy to help.
We had been needing to move for a long time due to disrepair but waited for the tenant law to change so that it was more affordable, but even now it is costing less to be able to move, it’s not a compromise on service!
It’s a 12 month tenancy, however as a family, we hope we can stay here for a long time, as I fell in love with the place as soon as I walked in

We rented a property with Martin and Co Medway for 18 month's. We were originally told that we would have to sign up for a year and then it would become a rolling monthly contract. Unfortunately (but not surprisingly) they went back on their word after a year saying that the landlord would only accept us as tenants on another 12 month contract. We were hoping to move house to be closer to our daughters school but had not found anywhere suitable so we asked if we could just sign a 6 month contract which they agreed to at the cost of £90 administration fee!!
When we first moved into the property it had not been decorated or cleaned to a reasonable standard and the garden was full of rubbish left behind by the old tenants. We asked for the rubbish to be removed (as we had small children) and were told that we could take it to the tip ourselves!
A few days after moving in we noticed a mouse trap in the airing cupboard and some chewed marks around the door frame. We told Martin and co that we believed there might be mice in the property and we had to prove that we hadn't brought them with us as apparently it's not the landlords problem!!
The bedrooms were full of damp and Martin and Co's solution was advising us to clean it off! The only time they actually had someone come out was when my son started to experience very bad asthma attacks due to the black mould in his bedroom.
On another occasion my 6 yr old daughter went to open the garden gate and the wall and gate collapsed! Luckily she jumped out of the way as she could've been seriously hurt by the brick wall and iron gate! Martin and Co sent an email apology but the landlord didn't care and left the wall and gate for months like that before finally getting it repaired.
The carpet in the property was the cheapest of cheap and had nails coming through it (which we kept catching our heels on). When we mentioned this to Martin and co they sent the landlord around with a hammer to 'bash them back in!'
We always paid our rent well in time and we left their property cleaner then when we first moved in but Martin and co still deducted £40 from our deposit for a 'small pen mark' and 'mould in the bathroom'. Both were believed to have been there when we first moved in but not noted on the inventory. However the person who carried out our inventory marked them as queries but Martin & Co wouldn't listen and insisted that we paid the £40 as 'compensation' to the landlord!! We have also seen that the rent has been reduced dramatically since we moved out of the property (by £45 per month!) However when we were living at the property our rent continued to rise each year!!
To be honest Martin and Co Medway do not even deserve a 1 star review!! The fees are extortionate and when we had issues it took them weeks to respond (if at all!). The person who carried out our check out commented on how well we had looked after the property and how the garden was much improved but Martin & Co still insisted on charging us for some minor general wear and tear (which were queried on the inventory report!). My advice - avoid Martin and Co Medway at all costs!!

As I know they are a letting agent I can trust I decided to move homes with them recently. Sandra and the team were fantastic in getting my references and viewings sorted and really went the extra mile to help me. I would recommend any time...hence why I chose a property that was with them for my move!

First, I must say from the very day I met Sandra Walters who showed me the property it was professionalism from the very start to finish. The service she delivered speaks volume of herself as well as the company she represents. Then it was speaking to Lacey Wilson who demonstrated a high level of efficiency and accuracy from start. Martin and Co Medway is the real deal. No hassle, precise and very clear understanding between everyone I spoke to. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Communication was on point.
I have never written a review before but this I have to do. I trust and hope that Martin and Co Medway will continue to live up to their name and be better. I will endeavour my best to be a good tenant ensuring that communication is the key.
I got my property and I love it. Decent and clean it is not to mention the area.

Chatham for many years and am more than happy to thoroughly recommend this excellent team of very professional people to anyone looking for a an Agent. It doesn't matter who you speak to, they all give a prompt & helpful service. The standard of the tenants installed is very high. So high in fact when we wanted to sell one of our properties, the tenants were so good that we could not have asked them to vacate. We therefore made the decision to sell the house as a tenanted property. Martin & Co recommended a good selling price & found us a buyer within a short period of time. Their fee was very reasonable, (better than many estate agents). The sale went though smoothly in a remarkably short time. It was the best selling experience we have had.

I give Martin & co 5* because the moment I step in to there agent and tell them what I was looking for they where there hundred present, they put me with someone who is part of the letting team and she toke me around show me to all of the places till I see the one I liked, anytime I called if I didn't understand something she takes her time and explain fully for me to understand, now am renting one of there apartments an it's an amazing one I love it. Thanks to all your help Sandra Walters you are an amazing property consultant. Martin & co are very lucky to have you.

Sandra was incredibly helpful and professional when agreeing the let on a property. From the first viewing to signing the paperwork everything went smoothly and she always answered any questions we had quickly. Also is the only letting agents I've used that provides detailed information on all property details which means its one less thing you have to worry about. Received an excellent service from martin & co in chatham. was understanding to our needs. as we needed somewhere to move into straight away from start to finish it took less then two weeks to find somewhere and move in. and so far we are very happy. we are returning tenants to martin&co as we used them once before 3 years ago. great fdriedly service and Sandra in thenoffice has been a super star and helped with everything, every stepnof the way :)

We needed to find somewhere to rent urgently and out of all the letting agents we contacted they were one of the only ones who actually took the time to get back to us. However they were the only ones who were helpful enough to take things further. All contact with them was dealt with in a very professional and friendly manner. Any problems that we encountered were dealt with there and then. When we needed to visit their office you could not have wished to be greeted by a more friendly staff. Lyn and the rest of the team were amazing but I must say that Sandra was absolutely brilliant and we can't thank her enough. If you're looking to rent anywhere in Medway you simply must start with them.

WHAT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR.
After dealing with other well known estate agents trying to find a new home and having the worst experience I have ever had even being refused a viewing on many properties because I was not selling my property through them I found the perfect home advertised with Martin & Co.
From the very first phone call it was obvious that they were there to help and offered me a viewing straight away and I was lucky enough to be the first to view and purchased the perfect home there and then.
I was helped throughout the process by Lyn McDonald and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to follow my purchase from start to finish having to deal with some very difficult solicitors along the way to give the case a very much needed push.
I would not hesitate to use Martin & co in the future if needed and cannot recommend them highly enough.

They are the most rubbish people in the world they don't listen to what you say and when you do say that you are going to go court with them that's when they take action, I told them there was mould in my room on how many occasions and I'm moving out and they still haven't sorted out the problem. If you can find the same flat you want with a different agency then I advise you to do so.
