I’d like to take the time out to thank Vivienne for all her help and support that she has graced my family with, we signed up for a number of estate agents but none can compare to the Mann branch in Chatham. This was our first time renting and we didn’t have a clue what to expect or what the procedure was, some Agents can be very sharp and abrupt, but Vivienne went above and beyond, always in contact, always willing to support us. Really impressed. Even after we secured a property she has left the door open in the event we needed support. Charlotte has been amazing and we couldn’t recommend Mann enough, after having an extremely bad experience previously Charlotte did all that could be done to put us at ease and made the process stress free for us. The whole team are professional and we have had constant communication and kept us updated at every stage. This was the first time we had sold and we didn’t understand a lot of the process, Charlotte took them time to answer all our questions and went beyond so that we knew what was going on at each stage. As soon as you’ve exchanged, they want nothing to do with you and service changes. I regret purchasing from them. Will not recommend!

Steven at Mann Lettings was brilliant, very friendly and chatty. Allowed me to visit the property for a second time, answered all of my questions and dealt with any queries I had promptly. The day I received the keys was very brief and there were a couple minor issues with the property. However overall the whole process has been smooth and the staff at Mann Lettings have been very professional and friendly.

Being a first time renter, and having had talks and interactions with many other letting agencies in the course of my house search, I can make bold to say that I have tasted enough to know that Mann is the best. From Billy, Mitchel, Matt, et al (in no particular order) flows premium awesomeness. Very prompt, non-stop communication, clarity in every requirement/stages of the process, etc. I make bold to rate Mann 5 golden stars ?????.

Absolutely appalled by the service from Mann lettings, been renting a property through them for almost a year now and just a warning they work with incompetent landlords. Had a severe mould issue in a bedroom for 6 months (which they was informed about on multiple occasions) before they did anything which I might add a newborn was in the property. They fail to inform you when contractors are coming out and then try to hold you liable because you’re not in when they randomly show up. I will forever avoid Mann now and others should too. All they do is come up with rubbish excuses and don’t care about the people they are renting out to.

An agency I don't recommend. The staff do not know how to read a payslip/ financial documents. Not holding viewings unless they have all the financial documents. Same documents provided to a different agency and was fine and able to rent the property we wanted.

Having previously working in lettings for 4 years for another local company I have always been disappointed with other estate agents in the area. Mann and co Chatham are the best estate agents I ever dealt with and nothing is ever an issue. Billy is an absolute asset to the team and made every step of the journey easy for me and my partner.

Majority of my contact has been with Billy Newlands who has been incredible! Met with Billy late last year when we decided to rent out our property. He was very friendly, approachable, just the right amount of professional. Met with several other companies on the same day who all became very overbearing and asked irrelevant intrusive questions, so I felt very comfortable with Billy. We had a delay of quite a few months due to renovation work needed and Billy always kept in touch every now and then to see how we were getting on. It’s a new experience for me and he never hesitated to break down costs, explain things in layman’s terms for me, even if I have likely asked the same question several times. Great guy and asset to the team!
I am knocking off one star as unfortunately so far I have not quite had the same experience with the rest of the team. Had portfolio managers and other members of the team query things with me that I feel should not have reached me, such as a repair report from tenant that was actually a request to relocate plumbing that is already in working condition. Hopefully just some teething issues.

Original Manager useless, Unfortunetly i cant remember his name, talked me into using there recommended Conveyancing Company, really wish i hadn't listened to him.
Thankfully they now have a decent manager, that actually works for a living, and calls you with updates ect.
Billy is a great asset to the company and so is Holly, both helpful from start to finish, friendly and professional.
Would I use this company again, probably not as I actually found the buyer myself for my property and got £20,000 more than what the original manager told me it was worth, and the "professional photographer " is useless I can take better photos with my mobile phone between my arse cheeks ????

UPDATE: Would like to add that after escalation to the lettings team manager that I'm not getting any responses to calls or emails, I've been totally ignored. And NOTHING back after waiting for weeks.
A complete joke. DO NOT waste your time or money with this organisation.
With regards to the response below. A nice easy blanket response which does nothing. @Lucy, if you really wanted to make a difference, my name is not hidden in this review and you could easily reach out to me or even better investigate the issue.

Margaret got in touch 4 weeks before my flat was ready for rental. She checked on the progress every week and when it was ready, she had tenant lined up within 2 days.
Funny thing is that I purchased this as a buy to let and the estate agents that sold it never phoned me once after it was sold. I gave it on a multi agency out if respect for the other agents however Margaret blew the out of the water!
I am very impressed with the letting service thus far. Mann they seem hungry to do business and thats what it takes to get the job done!

Absolutely avoid. too bureaucratic and i dont think the staff know how to smile. always rude and think that we are there to rob them. Also too many departments and once you've become a tenant, you need to talk to ten different people for different things. You wont have such an experience in a smaller, boutique agent where you get personalised attention.
Even emergency maintenance takes atleast 10 days and that too we need to follow-up with their contractors to get the work done.
Avoid pls. There are better choices available in the market

The most terrible letting agency we have ever come across. If you want to save your money and nerves, I recommend you not to rent from them. Absolutely horrendous behaviour about returning a deposit - got calculation after 5 weeks from moving out (tenancy agreement states within 10 days) and the landlord is charging us with things which were already faulty when we moved in! Raised the complaint and it's been another week and yet no response from agency!

I received an excellent service from Mann in Chatham. The staff were always extremely courteous and kept me fully informed during the process of renting out a property. They always answered phone calls and emails promptly and gave good advice and feedback at all times. They helped me achieve the top market value for the property. I would recommend them most highly.

I contacted this agent and gave my details to register myself as a cash purchaser (probably my big mistake as they then knew they couldn't make money via their mortgage brokerage arm or surveyor's valuation arm) and an appointment was made to view a property a few days later on 7/4/2018 Saturday at 2:30pm. Total no show on their part. My call then got diverted to their Gravesend office who didn't have a clue and could not find my registration,. Promised a call back and I gave my number (again). I deliberately refrained from calling just to see. As expected, there hasn't been a single call back after one week. Apathetic, disorganized and self-serving. Let's hope it is JUST this branch and not the entire chain or Countrywide group...

Guys it is true.I have e-mailed 3 Agencies in the area and I got no answer at all.I felt I was scorned. But Margaret Kay from Mann Lettings was wonderful.She answered my voice message within a few hours and talked me through the options I have.Additionally she kept me updated during the following days with both e-mails and text messages.Their first reaction is really promising,I am looking forward to proceed with viewing.She also did her best to suit the viewing with my programme.

Mann Countrywide has help me to rent my property . I had to move quickly to an other country. The agency help me to get the house ready to be rented and found someone who was interested in renting the house in a very short period of time. Although I now live abroad communication is not a problem and I can trust that Mann countrywide will look after my property very well.
