The I have lived and worked in London for almost 19 Years. During this time I have bought, sold, refurbished, let and let out a lot of Flats.
I am not a property developer – but have made a good amount of real estate transactions privately. I used Foxtons and many others. But after several horrific situations with others – I decided to try May & Co.
Right from the start you can see they are really different. Very personal service, responsive, experienced and a pleasure to work with.
So much so – that after years of personally managing my rental flat – I switched to a managed serviced by May & Co. That was the best move I every made. They really take care of everything and make it easy.
A great team with wonderful service. High recommended. Best Agency I have worked with in London - 5 STARS

Absolutely the most annoying experience I've ever had with a real estate agent !!! Agent Harry was very rude and unprofessional. He treated us badly and without respect just because we were 10 minutes late, due to a wrong address. I honestly believe that he is not suitable for this job I hope the agency takes it into account.

Property buyers beware! We were looking to purchase a flat in a building managed by May & Co but withdrew our offer because their unprofessional, uncooperative and unethical behaviour left us with a lack of confidence to move forward. Their principal is particularly prone to temper tantrums. The experience we had was through the solicitor we had hired and the estate agency, both of whom relayed their frustrations in working with May & Co. Their behaviour is erratic and it even shows in the way they respond to reviews like this one.

Very unhelpful and rude staff. Brought us a "new" fridge that had clearly been picked out of a dump, didn't allow me to install internet so been without wifi for months, control the heating from outside so we have no control on when it comes on.

One of the few remaining HONEST and professional agencies.
I've been with May&Co for the last 3 years and I couldn't be more happy with the service.
Sue is very fast replying to any query and any problem we ever had got solved within a week.
I would most definitely recommend them.

I have been living in a flat where May & CO have managed property for 7 years now and overall my experience has been very positive with this agency. Any issue that we had, agency (Particularly Sue) has been very quick to respond to all our queries and needs. On the same day (within few hours) i would get a response and items were fixed within a day(washing machine, broken window or anything else). I highly recommend this agency which has been very responsive.

Honestly this is a really bad estate agent in London!
I wanted to buy flat in London and after finding flat John told me to I have to increase the price several times after we agree on price. I have confirmation but I was still asked to increase price. Not good and I will not recommend to anyone to go to John and May&Co!

To anyone concerned,
I would not recommend this agency to anyone.
The main reasons being:
They are very hard to get hold of when you need something from them. (John was my contact person)
They are very slow to respond to any issue.
They do not justify additional and/increased costs.
There is no follow up from their side on customer satisfaction.
They are not transparent when getting quotes for repairs and refurbishments, they always seem to "have worked with" the contractor that wins the tender.
I have read some of the other reviews and I can't believe this is the same company...
If you are in a position to chose managing agent, chose a different one. If you are not in a position to chose then be very aware when dealing with May&Co.

My advice would be to stay away from this agency. Poor service, hard to get hold of and the only time they show any initiative is when they collect money. They have been in charge of our building for 6 months now and are already being replaced. Worst property managers I have come across in a long time.

I have been a tentant with May&Co for the past three years now, and have been continuously impressed with the quality of service. Although few issues have come up over the years, whenever I had a problem at the property it was dealt with very quickly and promptly, usually on the same day. Furthermore, the agency has always been transparent with their fees and expectations from their tenants. I would like to thank Sue in particular for being very kind and helpful, whenever I had any questions or issues to address. Overall - a great agency, with great service!

We had excellent service from May & Co at our flat in Redcliffe Square. They have always responded to any communication in a timely and proactive manner. Any problem was quickly addressed and we were kept update on the status. I would not hesitate to recommend May & Co to a friend or family member.

I went to see these guys today to try and retrieve some old documents that iv misplaced as they were the agents that sold our house for us a few years ago.
I have to say I was so impressed by John and Harry,they remembered me my family,the lawyer and even the house details and this after 6years.
After sitting and discussing some finer details with them about this and other properties,they kindly advised me on several aspects of property,markets and regulations and went out of their way to help guide me in the right directions for my lawyer to follow up on..
I have to honestly say they lifted some weight off my shoulders and was really glad i went in to see them,these guys do know their business well and i honestly was not expecting that constructive advise and personal touch,they really did help open my eyes to a several avenues to explore.
Thanks to them its worked out to be a good day.
