Zero aftercare. Very unhappy with the service we received. Mel was a very friendly person who seemed very happy to help while the sale was going through but after We purchased a house from one of Mel’s developer partners. We continuously pestered them regarding a damaged roof both the developers and the agent lied about the roof being repaired resulting in us having to take legal action. Although not directly her fault every effort has been made to make contact with both the developers and the agent since with no response. Both parties were only interested in a quick sale and hood winking us into a quick sale. Very poor service.

This Lady is All you could ever wish for.
This "journey" is tough and you need a very open on time personable, and even funny, but listening Estate Agent. This was Mel!! Wonderfully warm with the perfect essence of a Lady Agent from Wales. Wow! Everyone needs an estate agent like Mel on their team! Above and beyond is an understatement. Mel has recently had lots of awards and they are most definitely deserved. She is brilliant. On the ball. Her communication is amazing. Her commitment is incredible. Her and Liz make such a great team. Mel sold our house easily and made her side so smooth. As an independent estate agent her service was non comparable to bigger agents. She gives a personal touch and treats you like a person not ‘the next sale’. Where to start, having Mel selling our property was a five star experience from beginning to end, didn't think estate agents like Mel existed , Mel was always available to guide you through the process and any hiccups that can occur when selling propert, she went over and beyond any job description you can imagine an estate agent has, she made the process so easy by taking any worries or niggles upon herself to sort out, cannot recommend this lady enough, a true professional with a personal touch, definitely a 5star experience, wish we could give more to this powerhouse of a lady....

Mel has been an amazing help over the last few months in our search for a rental home for a family from Ukraine. She liaised with the landlord on our behalf, gave advice on what we needed to do and eventually was successful in helping them finally get the keys to a place they can call their own home. After so many turn downs and dead end enquiries with other agents, Mel helped us to find the light at the end of what was beginning to be a very long and dark tunnel. Just purchased my house through Mel & my only regret was not knowing her when I sold my previous property! Compared to all the other estate agents that I have dealt with she is unique. She gets things done, nothing is too much trouble & you deal directly with her, not some receptionist or other unqualified employee. From accepting our offer on a house to exchange and completion in 45 days was amazing !!
Nothing was too much trouble and when I could not collect keys during office hours arrangement was made to collect after hours.
Also, when I walked into house after collecting keys I was presented with a house warming card, flowers and a cuddly squeaky toy for my puppy from Mel.

We had a viewing booked for a property months ahead of time. Then we recieve an email on the Friday (today) to advise our viewing for Sunday was cancelled as the seller wanted all viewings on the Saturday. Incredibly short notice to cancel and unsure why the original viewing was arranged if seller wanted them all on 1 day. Or even cancel it with a bit more notice. Very disappointing, not had this happen with any other local estate agents.

Further to my last comments, the sale of my home was not without its fair share of hiccups but none of it was because of Mel John estate agents and ALL of it was caused by my buyer’s “online solicitors”. If it were not for Mel being so willing to go over and above what I would accept as good service that I didn’t despair. She kept the process going and even AFTER the transaction was complete and her role in the process was complete, she saved my bacon on some paperwork. Worth every penny. I feel utterly compelled to put in this second review as I truly believe that Mel (and Liz for that matter) do far more than your average estate agent. If I ever enter the market again, I will do so through Mel John estate agents. Thank you once again.

Had a flyer come through the door asking if I was thinking about selling. Wasn’t initially but after some thought decided to email Liz and ask for more information. Liz responded promptly and arranged to talk over the telephone and after that visited me for in face discussion and valuation. A week after the flyer came through the door, my house was sold for asking price. I am thrilled at this experience and furthermore Liz is such a friendly and lovely human being that me and my partner will stay in touch after the move is done.
