Sophie was always available to assist with any questions or issues that arose, no matter how small. Her prompt responses and proactive approach made living in the property a pleasure, knowing that I was in good hands. As my tenancy came to an end, Sophie's support was invaluable. She guided me through the move-out process with the same level of care and professionalism I had experienced from day one. Good agency throughout the tenancy but then showed true colors when deposit was up for debate. Was offered a 'deep clean' by them for £100 each (2 of us) which we agreed to, to then only be told that this wasn't actually a deep clean and that they were looking to charge us another £150 each for a clean. Was told that the 'deep clean' only covered hoovering, which we could have done ourselves or even paid for a separate company to come in and do for much cheaper. Also tried to charge us for a new sofa due to it being worn... this was a joke Would recommend as they were great throughout but at the end, they really turned on us.... Read more

In regards to the service provided by Metro, I'd agree with the many reviews here that say it's outstanding. We primarily dealt with Sophie who always responded to queries swiftly and resolved any issues we had in a fast and friendly manner. Unfortunately, our experience with Metro was soured when it came to vacate the property. We were offered a full end of tenancy deep clean, however we weren't told this didn't include carpet cleaning, and so we were shocked to see a further charge for this taken off our deposit. Furthermore, Metro claimed that one of our perfectly functional couches was "damaged beyond repair" and tried to charge us for a replacement. We got the majority of our deposit back after independent adjudication from DPS but we still feel as though Metro were overly-aggressive in their deductions. All in all, I would recommend Metro as the service they provide is exceptional. But ensure that you take plenty of photos of the property at the start and end of your tenancy, in order to fight the inevitable deductions you'll get. And based on our experience I'd avoid the "full" end of tenancy deep clean that they offer.... Read more

Finding an apartment is always a nightmare, particularly as I have some difficult circumstances. However where most agents just say no, Sophie went above and beyond to work out the finer details with our landlord and secured us the flat in no time! Since moving in Sophie has also coordinated repairs and such quicker than I have ever experienced. I have been with multiple Lettings Agencies throughout Manchester. I have to say that the service provided by John and Holly at Metro Residential during my 3 year tenancy was simply outstanding. They truly looked after us as tenants. They offered a level of care that I have never received from any of the larger agencies in Manchester (I have been with several over the years). I never had to fight with them to get something attended to and I've never had to go back and forth with constant emails that I've had to do with so many other agencies.. Any issues we raised they dealt with almost immediately and professionally. Nothing was too much trouble. They were incredibly caring, honest and I can't recommend them enough. By far the worst agent I have ever had to deal with. The sad thing is at the start it went great and we ended up letting the apartment with Metro. Overpromised and delivered abosolutely worst service possible. There is no respect for their customers whatsoever and at times it felt they deliberately did their best to make our stay in the apartment as bad and uncomfortable as possible.
