I enquired about a property by email and I eventually received a call to arrange a viewing. They never called back to confirm (the house is still in the market) and they don't answer the phone. Ashley has been absolutely brilliant with the process of renting our flat. Communication has been excellent from start to finish - and even after we have moved in, he is always around to answer any questions - however small. All the paperwork and checks were done quickly and efficiently (on the same day!) and we were given updates and reassurances throughout the process. There is definitely a different "feel" with Mi-Move compared to the usual big letting agencies and you really feel personally looked after. Avoid this 'Estate Agency' at all costs. They tried to embezzle money from us and we eventually sued our landlord, who they represented. If you want your letting experience to end (and start actually!) with the lowest of ethics and the very highest levels of deception has to offer then please indulge in this utter S***show. This business (if you can even call it a business) surely only exists because of how low this government have set the bar for culpability. Don't be misled by the 1 star, it won't allow any lower.... Ashley is a trustworthy, fair, no-nonsense individual who will give you honest advice and information. He has heaps of experience in the industry and his team are quick to help. So they took a holding deposit kept it for 5 days. At the end refunded it saying the landlord had a other offer your bank statements were not enough even though i gave them my husbands business bank statements which were quite a big amount and proved that we can afford the rent and also provided a guarantor but no its all about the money who offers more. Ashley was stuck on my personal bank statement i knew at that moment when he said they had an another offer he just wants to get rid off us. What a waste of time. And they never repy to ur emails.... I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I have met Mr Gray (he insists on being referred to as "Mr" Gray) and I found this man, who so many people have decided to demonise, a very interesting and fascinating individual. I first met Mr Gray at a Over 40's social event in Croydon during the mid nineties . Myself and my good wife (she is known affectionally as 'Winkle baps' to her friends) were introduced to Mr Gray by a mutual friend, Ian Thompson-Smyth. After a few Pina Colada's (Mr Gray insisted on extra Malibu for his!) he told us all about Enoch Powell and how he saw him as a father figure. At this point I burst into tears - I grabbed Mr Gray and asked him, no, BEGGED him that, if he EVER needed any advice on how to keep Britain a morally, ethically and financially consistent entity then he can always rely on me. I agree with Alan Sharpe, my experience with Ashley and his 'team' were different but never the less equally as awful. They don't seem to do anything properly and forget basic things like passing bank info from your Landlord so you can start paying rent. Estate agents are, lets face it, middle men and have always had a reputation to match but this particular operation really lowers the bar. The 'manager', Ashley Gray is a highly manipulative individual. My doubts were raised on first meeting him but they do say you shouldn't read a book by its cover so, to my regret, I let my initial impressions go. In short he claimed his failure to protect my security deposit was due to personal issues (a 'victim' response typical of unscrupulous and unprofessional people) he then attempted to con me into accepting an out of court settlement, but not before attempting to convince me I had done something wrong. I was legally advised to stop all contact with him and he was sent a letter from my solicitor which also advised him to only respond to them. Despite this he still attempted to bribe me with a 'conditional' offer - the condition being that I reject my Solicitor and go down his dodgy, unethical and dishonest route instead. I immediately informed my solicitor about this and forwarded Ashleys' email to him. A counter offer to his settlement amount was made (of almost the same amount) but through the more trustworthy, legal and honest route. It has been over 2 weeks now and guess what, not a word........ If you want to be ripped off by a small, greasy man wearing a cheap out of date suit who struts around in the delusion that he is a professional and respected man then please ignore everything I have just said.... Awful estate agents. Please avoid at all costs if you are renting. They (along with our landlord) embezzled our security deposit. Eventually we had to get solicitors involved and sent letters out to both the manager of MiMove and our landlord. We successfully sued our landlord, but it was stressful and upsetting. I do not like complaining generally but consider it my moral duty in this case to warn others against using these agents. It is only through sheer persistence that we got our deposit back eventually. It is pertinent to note the lack of 'ok' reviews on here and that immediately after any bad reviews there seems to be a stream of five star reviews directly after. This smacks of corruption, nepotism and bogus claims.... Read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but in this case I feel I've got no choice. I need to warn others to steer clear of Mi Move. They used to manage one of my rental properties and they couldn't have done a worse job. After I signed the contract they started ignoring me and they tried to make me lower the rent below the market value to find a tenant quickly. No regard for the people who pay them... Be ashamed .... They must be having some sort of cash flow problems because they try to force the vendor to accept the first bid immediately. They only consider their own interests.... Read more

From start to finish they've always been easy to contact, very responsive to our enquiries, and highly proactive in keeping things moving during the sale of our property (which are all the things you want). They were extremely 'straight forward' to deal with and offer very good value for money. I recently bought a flat through Mi-Move but I wouldn’t recommend them. Poor customer service and communication skills, generally ignored my phone calls and emails even though I only rarely tried to contact them and only when essential. Once the deal was done they didn’t want to know, ignoring my requests for information that I needed to deal with situations that the vendor should have dealt with but failed to. The office staffs’ “I’m sorry he’s not in the office at the moment” was generally one of the least convincing I’ve heard. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written online for any business, I’m not usually the complaining type. The deal did go through so it wasn’t all bad but I was not impressed at all by how they treat the customer.... Read more

They don't check the properties and don't help to solve the issues with the owners . Lie about the state of the flats. Flats come with broken windows and mold but are wanted to look like new after the rental contract expires. Forget about your security deposit. Pure scammers.... Read more

I've been letting flats for fifteen years, and after meeing Catherine by chance, I asked her and her colleagues to find me a tenant, since my usual agent had retired. Ashley did absolutely everything within days: took photos, organised viewings, gave me top advice, and found me an excellent tenant within about a week. He also advised me on a rent increase I hadn't realised was achievable. In addition, Mi-Move helped me with all kinds of disparate advice and, amongst other things, helped me to find an excellent electrician. At all times all staff at Mi-Move have been accessible, friendly, helpful, and on the ball and have saved me time, worry and money, by leaving no gap between a tenant leaving and the new tenant arriving. I will unhesitatingly go to them whenever I need help to find tenants from now onwards. Finding a new tenant for your property can be all about problems. My situation was in no means ideal (in my eyes) but they made me feel so welcome, that i wasn't alone and helped me throughout the process step by step. I personally dealt with Ashley & Catherine (a formidable duo) and Louise who were all friendly, kind, efficient, good negotiators and provided an exemplary service. I cant thank them enough for what they did to help me and nothing was too much to ask. very poor service and family members working in the office and do NOT recommend this agents as they are untrustworthy and provide very poor service. They are only interested in your money. TO THE AGENTS FURTHER to my review, I only asked you to continue with the rent collect only as I already paid your company full year's legal costs insurance premiums plus your full years fees. why should I have to pay another insurance company for legal costs insurance again and why should I have to pay another agents fees when I already paid your fees at the start of the tenancy? I find it very,very odd that AFTER I put in my review, people have come out to write good review about your company??????????? If they found your service so good, why didn't they write a review BEFORE I wrote mine?????????? As I said your company is only interested in taking customers money in exchange for poor service.
