I highly recommend Neilson & Bauer. I had a difficult experience recently buying a new house, with conveyancing glitches on the day, and multiple "surprises" regarding things that didn't work in the new house. Matian from N&B went well beyond the expected standard in liaising with the former owner, support and practical help on the day of the move, and an uncomplaining and efficient after sales service. You get much more than with the average high street estate agent with N&B, you get a professional who gets to know you as a person, cares, adapts to your needs and goes the extra mile.

I cannot overemphasize my recommendation for this independently-owned estate agency.
Nobody enjoys the process of moving, dealing with the chaos of making offers and counter-offers for properties, encountering agents who are either dishonest or evade the truth, or being subjected to considerable stress and pressure. This agency is the stark contrast to all of that.
This agency, along with its staff, has been extraordinarily helpful, patient, and most notably, refreshingly straightforward and honest. I will always rely on them in the future, as I felt completely trustworthy throughout the entire process and believed that they were genuinely collaborating with me to discover the best solutions to my dilemma.
Speaking of dilemmas, they have gone above and beyond to assist me with my specific situation, which required me to be referenced and approved to move within a two-day period. They accomplished this by working extra hours, liaising with multiple agencies and banks, among others, all while doing so in the most supportive manner.

I contacted Neilson & Bauer initially as I was very nervous about using a "Chain" Estate Agent.
I was looking for a independent outfit that I hoped would be able to bring local knowledge, expertise and that personal touch so often lacking...
From my very first conversation with Graham I was put completely at ease and knew I was in safe, professional... and above all caring hands.
Communications were excellent from the outset and N&B generated a great deal of interest in my property.
I only ever spoke to 2 people about my sale... Graham and Annabel... both kept themselves... and me... totally up to speed with the progress of the transaction.
Annabel in particular was excellent at driving the process forward... sometimes against what seemed like impossible odds..
they cared... it mattered to them... and their hard work, dedication and professionalism... with a human touch ... shone through.
Now that my transaction is complete ( thanks guys ! )... and I am able to reflect on the whole process... I'm so glad that I made that initial call to Neilson & Bauer.

I bought my property with this agent, my experience is negative, for the following reasons.
1. The process was not transparent. Cheryl didn’t tell us an important fact that this property is not possible to completion before 1st of November (because the seller had mortgage and the mortgage was not able to fully repay before this date).
2. We placed offer in April and the seller accepted our offer in April. Then we applied mortgage. Our mortgage offer expires in October. We only had been informed that it is not possible to completion before 1st of November in Mid-July. So we need to cancel our previous mortgage and reapply mortgage.
3. In April, We told Cheryl that we want to move-in in this Summer, she had a clear understanding of our expectation. In Mid-July, the owner of this agent James told us we need move-in under “Licence to occupy before completion”. We end up with pay more than £5,000 rent for the period in between Move-in date and completion date.
4. When I pointed out these problems, the owner of this agent James became very rude. He replied me email with lots of Bold and Capital letters.
5. This is an independent agent, it is not belonging to any franchise, we end up with losing money and we have no where to complain.
The overall experience is 1 star.

I was appointed as an Executor of my Uncle's Estate and enlisted Graham to sell my Uncle's house in Islington. My co-executor and I did not want a large realtor. We hoped to find a local agent that knew the market and would actually care about the sale. We were beyond lucky.
I cannot speak more highly about Graham's willingness and ability to go the extra mile in attracting buyers, and getting the sale over the line. It was quite the process - every rock we turned over had something unpleasant underneath. However, Graham persevered, often being the sole reason the sale process continued as, at times, even our lawyers had given up or could not see a way forward.
Graham and his team were excellent and exemplary. I cannot recall ever feeling better served by a professional services provider. Simply outstanding.

I have recently exchanged on a house and Graham was the agent. He is a rockstar.
Just one story will stand for the many ways in which he went light years beyond what your average agent would do: as part of the sale it became necessary to find some evidence that the recently-deceased vendor had repaid a private loan. This was a bit like trying to find the right grain of sand on a long beach. The lawyers drew a blank even after days of searching records and all the usual lawyerly stuff; but Sherlock Graham went to the house and found a critical paper within a few hours.
More generally the process involved many stressful moments when the lawyers got themselves into a tangle but Graham was consistently hard-working, always sought to find mutually-beneficial solutions and - no matter how fraught things got - remained unflaggingly courteous. Oh and also he was utterly charming with my young kids.
I cannot recommend this chap and his business highly enough.

It was very overwhelming at first with lots of agents in London wanting to list it initially and quite honestly I didn't know what I was doing and just wanted the process over with as I was and often am too busy with work. He was accommodating from the start, managed to get me a viewing late and at short notice - the whole experience felt like I was planning a trip away with a friend (where I didn’t have to do the planning! Super helpful (he kindly offered to help me paint a wall if I had to move the wardrobe), very communicative, gave me timely updates on the status of my requests for certain items to be fixed, he has my back and is a just fantastic person to deal with ???????? We chose to instruct Neilson & Bauer because of our previous excellent experience with Graham when we purchased a flat in 2018. He was amazing then and made a huge impression. More recently Don and Graham helped us to find the perfect tenants for our property quickly and efficiently. In this agency they handle everything in a professional manner. They helped us through each step to find a new amazing flat. The agents there are very friendly and attentive to everything we needed. Being new to London we found our apartment thanks to Don from Neilson & Bauer and although I do not often write reviews (good or bad :-) ) but I must say that here Don has been incredibly helpful and professional throughout the whole process and as such deserve some recognition. He was also very responsive by phone or email when we had queries (and we had a lot), helped us dealing with some renovation of the apartment and walked us through all the steps of the rental process very clearly.
We met a lot of agents in our researches and Don has been by far the most enjoyable to deal with. We would recommend them without hesitation.
