I have had the most pleasant and efficient letting experience thanks to Jamie’s professionalism and client centricity. My initial request was difficult to handle given that i was looking for a short term rental within a 30 minutes radius from Angel station and I am a foreign student. Jamie managed these constraints in a very professional manner and offered me a perfectly suitable solution. I asked Chestertons to value my house in Barnsbury last Autumn 2023 and give me their views generally on the Islington property market - but not intending to sell until 2024. Scott arrived on my doorstep and gave me an irresistibly energetic, knowledgeable (he’s worked in the area for ca 16 years) and persuasive account of his and his firm’s expertise & experience. There followed a whirlwind of activity with his delightful sales team efficiently setting up a WhatsApp group and notifying me of viewings and offers all done with great good humour. The behaviour of this estate agent and the landlords they represent made me leave London after only two years. I know our housing market is broken, but that doesn't excuse the shameless chasing of rent rises and profiteering for the sake of 'the market rate'. In the end, this simply chases people out the buildings that we renters dare to call our homes. Sadly, to landlords and estate agents, those buildings are simply financial assets to be squeezed for more and more revenue.... Read more

Having used Chestertons before, I knew they were reliable professionals so I had no hesitation in using them again to sell my house in Highbury. My initial contact was with the manager Graham who came to do the valuation which was spot on and as a result I achieved the asking price. The day to day business was handled mostly by Roberto, who apart from being a very nice chap, was efficient and unflappable and saw the process through to a successful conclusion. EDIT: I have since sold the flat, and for the full circle effect ended up with the same estate agent (Guy). He was very professional and kept frequent communication. Though the sale was delayed, his persistance in seeking a positive resolution and balancing the nerves of a sale was VERY helpful. Thank you Guy! Nov 2018 I have dealt with Chestertons Islington over the last 6 months. My estate agent (Guy) was great at getting things moving and being on top of everything (and everyone), which is always a big obstacle in this flat hunting industry. He also went above and beyond in remaining available to reach, even on his days off. Scott, Roberto, Piers & the rest of the team sold our loft in Shoreditch at asking price and obtained a number of offers. They were brilliant from start to finish and very professional and more positive than many other agents we met before deciding who to go with. They also priced the flat much more accurately and achieved the asking price, whereas other agents were more bearish and seemingly less enthusiastic. We had reservations about whether an Islington based agent would find the right buyers for Shoreditch, so instructed a loft specialist alongside them but Chestertons found the buyers and obtained multiple offers and drove a lot of viewings with serious buyers.
