Aaron Menashy from the team guided me through the whole process and made it super simple and straightforward. He understood that this was my 'home' that I was looking to rent and gave me the confidence to become a first time around landlord by finding me the perfect tenant. I've just exchanged contracts on the sale of my house through Chestertons acting as sole agent. Although their fees aren't the lowest in the area, they are more than justified by their performance. Scott set an ambitious target for the listing and the achieved price was above asking price. I'm much better off financially than if I'd gone with one of the '1% er’ agents in the area. The time from listing to offer accepted was an impressive 13 days! Scott provided oversight throughout and Will did a great job finding a quality buyer, negotiating and proactively managing the whole process through to exchange of contracts. Chestertons Islington offers a great service for landlords. The team take a very personal approach. Over the years Julia Chajdiakova has been great support. She takes time to check the flat, making sure the flat is in good shape that smoke alarms and carbon monoxide are there and working. And she gives feedback and is there to advise. It is a caring approach that supports tenants and landlords. I appreciate her honesty. It combines an old fashioned warmth with excellent administration.... Read more

We listed our sale with Scott, who was efficient and helpful with arranging photos, floor plans, EPC etc. Crucially he did a great job of explaining and guiding through different options for pricing the listing, as well as maximising impact during viewings. Their sales team all familiarised themselves with the house ready for viewings. William in particular was quick off the mark getting people in and had soon matched us with a suitable buyer. He did an outstanding job in intermediating negotiations on price. Chestertons were also great in the phase after "offer accepted": they gave excellent guidance on what needed to be done, and helped answer questions from both buyer and seller well. In short, not only were they great on the necessary mechanics of the sale, but they were also really helpful in the help, support and guidance they gave throughout. Thanks Will and Scott.... I’m a first time buyer who’s been viewing flats for the past month or so. The agent at Chesterton’s, Lloyd, cancelled a viewing 15 minutes before it was due to happen when I was already 45 minutes into an hour long trip to view the property. Didn’t bother calling during the day (despite what their response below says - I had no missed calls and specifically checked my voicemails after finding out the viewing was cancelled to understand what had happened and there was nothing) or sending an email cancellation when they knew the property was unavailable for viewing from the day before. Really unprofessional, unorganized, thoughtless and a big waste of time. All in all, a negative experience. Won’t be considering them when I’m ready to sell.... Read more

We appointed Chestertons after a personal recommendation from friends with whom they sold their property. We had already had a very negative experience with one of Islington's most famous Estate Agents (they know who they are!) and so terminated that contract and went to Scott and his team at Chestertons instead. It was a breath of fresh air with a totally managed service, excellent sales team and regular feedback and communication. It was the opposite approach to the previous agency and one which was successful at selling our house at asking- price. Guy found the perfect Buyer after many client viewings and their persistence and self-assurance maintained our confidence throughout the process (which is stressful enough anyway). Not once did Scott even consider reducing the price of our house as it had been priced properly in the first place, whereas the previous lot simply wanted to keep dropping the valuation until someone offered! We are grateful to Scott, Guy and the other members of the team at Chestertons; they got the job done!... Read more
