Purchased 7 electrical items from their auction. Everything was broke, not one thing worked. Was either wet inside or just broke. When I plugged the typewriter in it literally blew up in my face. In there live auction they will say if doesn't work bring it back, but when I did the bloke wouldn't even come out of his office and left the older rude women to deal with it. Stood outside the office for 15 minutes and finally got a refund and my account blocked. If you want to pay to get rid of their rubbish then this I best place for it. Rubbish auction and even worse customer service.... Read more

Of all the Auction Houses we deal with, Nigel Ward are the most personable, with the most helpful staff and assistance. They reply to condition reports requests with very helpful assessments, and have a reasonably priced p&p service. By barely 5pm today on auction day, we had our invoices and offer for p&p. Very disorganised when you go to collect your lots.Had to make an appointment because if covid 19 rules.chise 0900hrs slot, on arrival gate was still locked and 4 other vehicles ahead of me. When I finally got in the lots could not be found , one item locked in outside garage staff did not know it was there. Took 45 minutes to collect 3 items. This was my second visit on the first occasion similar experience except 1 lot could not be found at all so refund had to be given.There does not seem to be any logic to the numbering system used or the location of lots.Made worse if you are just collecting lots so do not know what it is you are collecting/looking for.... Highly professional service if you're selling and worth a visit if you're just looking. The bric-a-brac auction is always fun and off the main hall is a secondary auction where you can grab a bargain. The main auction is where the real treasures are and though the auction house is in a rural, out of the way village, don't let that fool you. You'll find some seriously high-end collectables, I've seen everything from audiophile hi-fi separates to rare vintage wines sold here. I love an auction and this place is my absolute favourite auction house.... Read more

Might be good for buying but selling is a poor expeirence. Have lost lots everytime i have sold (around a dozen times). When you query it misteriously is found and has been sold each time for £2 no matter what it is. Quite suspicious. Nigel is a nice guy. He needs to control his staff better. Lots get changed and mixed up in a quite random manner and not in a way that maxmises value or makes sense... Read more

Great auction room with friendly staff. Always a charity running the tearoom on auction day, serving breakfast rolls and cake. Would be five star, but for the eye watering 20% buyers premium! This they increased recently due to the new laws restricting surcharges on card payments.. Now meaning those paying cash are also 'surcharged'... Read more

A great place to go and look around the sale, you can buy some really lovely thing just for a pound or two. Some of the Item are top quality for what you would pay anywhere earls. Always a go place to have a crupper and a cake as you look around. It's a nice day out if not raining. Go a long and see for you're self's, look on the net to know when the next sale.
