Jacob wasn't our Estate Agent but he represented the seller of the house we bought. He always answered the phone and if he wasn't in, always rang back promptly. We had a more-than complicated process (nothing to do with the agents) but all of the agents involved were brilliant and answered all our queries whenever we had them. Jacob was empathetic and we felt like he really cared when showing us around properties. He would regularly update us when a property came on the market that matched our specific criteria and budget, and never sent us something that was totally wrong for us, which a lot of other agents tended to do. Matthew showed us around first, with Jacob taking over proceedings after this: both dealt very professionally with tricky vendors who were not keen on answering phone calls or emails. What an experience! We picked Orchid because of them being a small, well established local agency. We wanted somebody with a good knowledge of property market in the area and Orchid seemed to be the best choice.
Jacob made a whole experience extremely easy and straightforward. First sale fell through, but Jacob came up with a new offer on the same day we put our house back on the market.
It felt like selling a house on autopilot. Can't recommend highly enough.

We contacted Matthew at Orchid Estate Agents after reading great reviews on a Facebook request for recommendations. Our parents had recently passed away and the house had been our family and childhood home for nearly 40 years. Matthew instantly understood the emotion of the sale for my sister and I and dealt with it with professionalism and sensitivity. We had started marketing the property with another agent who was unable to sell the property over several months. Matthew and his team sold our house within a week of marketing the property, they didn’t even have time to get a ‘for sale’ board up! I cannot recommend them enough; Jacob handled viewings during Covid restrictions professionally and was always on hand to deal with questions from the buyer and us as vendors. Having Hazel, as a dedicated 'Sales Progressor', to deal with the conveyancing made the whole process (nearly!) seamless. Thank you to ALL the Orchid team.

Jacob and team were exemplary from start to finish. Jacob had taken us on a viewing of a property we were intersted in and was very engaged and knowledgable about the area.
When it came to picking an agent to sell our own property Orchid felt like the best fit in terms of value and professionalism. Jacob provided a realistic selling price and walked us through the process. It was particularly reassuring to know that it would only ever be Jacob or one other team member from Orchid showing our house to potential buyers rather than someone different handling each one which would have felt disjointed.
Communications throughout the whole process with viewings and offers were fantastic and we were kept up to date at every stage.

Jacob at Orchid was recommended to us by some friends of ours and we couldn't have been happier with him and his teams service at Orchid. We started our process just before the pandemic and shortly after we accepted an offer. However unfortunately this offer fell through and this was a great concern. But Jacob immediately set to work and within a few days had got us another buyer! We sold the property whilst living abroad and in a different time zone which typically makes things difficult. This was not an issue for Jacob and the Orchid team, communication couldn't have been better. Great service! Thank you Jacob and the Orchid team.
