Unfortunately an overall poor experience throughout my tenancy. Simply not enough staff looking after tennants for the huge amount of work they take on. The other good reviews here do not reflect my experience and they ask people including myself to remove poor reviews... It's been difficult at nearly every stage, from viewings, getting a second key, cleanliness of the property on move in (I provided photos of pubic hair, mud, dead bugs - it was not a professional standard, it was filthy), no checkout completed before we moved (only after we ask for an inventory was it photographed properly with some of our stuff in it), refused to send me the inventory asking several times, noise and anti social behaviour complaints during our tenancy (we were sold this on both our viewings as being quiet and peaceful - told the restaurant below isn't noisy when they were breaching their licence most nights with the level of noise and duration sometimes until 3am when staff stayed back), bailiffs turning up for a previous tennant despite numerous attempts to stop them (we were made to feel like it was our fault), poor communication at times... I could go on. I shouldn't be asked to take down a poor review in the middle of unsolved issues, when I felt so unhappy, it was the only way of being listened to. The response to this will be complete lies to cover their arse, making me look like I'm in the wrong again. Me and my partner have felt not listened to and lack of support on the many issues experienced during tenancy. Often no reply or rude and condescending, however sometimes quick to respond when it came to maintenance issues. In the end, we couldn't cope anymore and after 6 months of a nightmare, we were glad to be out. I wish I didn't have to write this review, but I can't help but speak the truth. I hope future tenants and landlords will take heed and they don't have my experience! Please consider other agencies. I have plenty of photographic and email proof to support all my experiences should they deny their responsibility.... Read more

Very disappointed. Despite the good reviews, my experience is the total opposite. The maintenance team have time and time again shown their true colours and are not interested in issues I have during my tenancy. I'm told just to get on with it and it's what I should expect rather than any help offered or proper support. They have taken on way too much business to care enough about their clients. Often the response is they can't do anything or no response at all. They are responsible if their clients are unhappy and should provide a service as opposed to palming them off.... Read more

I booked a viewing for a property for 2:30 in the afternoon. We drove for 20 minutes to get to the property, only to be called whilst waiting outside the property, at 2:30, by the agent, to say that an offer had been accepted on the property which is why he wasn’t there! Not all reviews need to be negative so, here’s a positive one. We had an electrical fault in the property meaning all appliances weren’t working at all this included our fridge freezer. After emailing the maintenance team at 8am followed by a telephone call at 9am. An electrician arrived at 2pm to save the day. Zoe Wray and the maintenance team, excellent job. Really saved the day. *DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LETTING AGENCY* My partner has recently left a review (see below 1 star review) which Sure lettings have replied to- in light of this I would like to respond to their comments. 1. The property is not under your management- however you carried out checks on the property and gave feedback during these checks throughout our contract period. When we had a mould problem in the property, I spoke to Sure as a number of personal items in the bathrooms had to be thrown out. The advisor at the time said not to ask for compensation and to just leave it. Taking everything into consideration now, they clearly had no interest and if they did not manage the property should have not given advice at all. 2. The landlord carried the final check but also Sure had emailed us to say they would be doing the inspection also. Interesting that the agency state they have 'no involvement' 3. Sure lettings being 'constrained by the limitations of their role' that's new given that they were cc'd into our emails. I called up to speak to James who was cc'd into our emails and was told I would receive a call back. I did not receive one and called again and asked to speak to James and the line was not transferred to him. It would have been more appropriate to have spoken to us and let us know how to proceed rather than hide behind someone else and not come to the phone. It would have been easier to speak to him directly and get some support rather than shake your hands and state they are not involved as soon as the contract ended. I see from a previous review this has also been the case.... Read more

Incredibly disappointed with Sure Lettings after recent conversations. The whole point of going through a Letting Agent is to get support as tenants when it’s required. There is none of this. There is a lot of ‘speak to the landlord’ which completely defeats the point. Nearly everything I have called them about over our time in a property has been passed off to someone else. We called recently to discuss something and have been told that we have discuss sensitive matters with the landlord themselves. Baffling. If I can give 0 stars , most definitely I would do. If you are going to rent a property from this agent make sure you have a good lawyer or be prepare to run to Citizen Advice Bureau (CAB) as they are very cunning manipulative agents. They tried to add fees for my children who are already mentioned in the Tenancy agreement when it came to renewal after staying three years in the same property. I got the advice from CAB and the agents couldn’t charge it. Furthermore, never agreed sign the move In inspection report which state ‘ cleaning in progress’ as this will come back to you when leaving the property. I have seen a few people had mentioned about this in their reviews. When it comes to moving out ; they will ask you to higher their cleaner. If you don’t higher her and use your own : forget about your deposit. They make a fake moving out report adding rubbish and making the place much dirtier. Not only that, then claimed your whole deposit. When you ask for a invoice with a breakdown:never, pass it over to the landlord saying “ask the landlord “. When you ask the landlord, he or she would say ask the agent. No one would give you a breakdown and you would never know how they spent that money. but the best joke is the cleaner is their one. Be present, when they do final inspection. It is a must thing; if you want your deposit back. I asked several time to be present, but the agent did not agree and deliberately ignored it. Most disgraceful agent. Please be aware. Always ask for the legal advice and do not TRUST them.... Read more

Since start have had a bad experience they have mixed messages on references, when you call would have same conversation and have to chase them to see what was going on, then moved into property which had electrical issues from day one … it’s been 7 months and the issues still remain I had to get legal advice and take it further for a temp fix which hasn’t actually fixed the problem, there is black mould throughout the property which has been there since we moved in despite raising this sending photos and putting it on the inventory 7 months later they haven’t done anything about it! There was repairs since before moving in and these also not done despite constant chasing. Have poor communication you have to chase them for everything, you hand in notice they don’t send confirmation they put the property up and then call you to book viewings or just send emails of bookings. Despite telling them reason for leaving they haven’t tried to fix it still … but did tell me there the best in Hemel/ Hertfordshire and can help me move … I do not recommend I’ve had 7 months of bad experience with them and they have not followed there own tenancy agreement Response given didn’t address the issue of poor communication, failing to repair the faults and moving into a property which was not well maintained and look after had black mould and faulty electrics but it’s ok they have a dehumidifier as good will gesture ???? I feel lucky! Despite the black mould that I have bleached for 7months from move in date the electrics I pay for which don’t even work and time having to take it further. The poor attitude of staff who laugh down the phone, served notice on 2nd march acknowledge 11th but booking viewings on 3rd march and telling us via email and still telling us via email despite asking to be told via phone! Beware. They knowingly let properties that have bad landlords without informing you. I've waited weeks for cooker replacement, months for plumbing let alone normal maintenance. Breeched the time limits on the remedials on the new electric safety checks, which I am now having to report to the local authorities I've ended up bearing costs for waste removal. They are expecting me to cover costs for a broken dishwasher or repair, remove or it or be left with it, that was in the property when I moved in that apparently isnt the landlord but didn't bother to inform me. I chased for months to get an inventory, there isn't one!! I've never come across a letting agency who would think that's a good idea, now I know why! Previous and other tenants have had the same problems. They take no ownership of the issues all I get is "they are chasing", taking no responsibility for their part and causing me nothing but cost to me. Fortunately, I'm able to get out but others may end up stuck. Speak to previous tenants, do your homework and get full written confirmation from them of the landlord's history with them if you do use them. I was initially shown around a couple of properties by Jack who was very helpful and reassuring in answering any questions that I had during the viewings and in telephone conversations after. The worst estate agents in Hemel Hempstead. They are too expensive. They advertise properties that they are not for rent. We contacted them for a property viewing. No-one came to the appointment. They said that the lady who booked the appointment with us doesn't work with them anymore and she didn't inform us that the appointment has been cancelled. The next time we booked a property viewing, the man was late. We had to go for the viewings in the afternoon when our baby was sleeping, so it was very tiring for all of us. We saw a property, we contacted them, they said it's still available so we can arrange a viewing. When we were on our way, the man called us just to inform us that another couple gave deposit for this property. But he has another similar property to show us. When we went to this "similar" property, it was in very bad condition. Of course we said no and we said we will search to other estate agents. When the man heard this, he said that we can see the property we liked it and the other couple gave the deposit... If we are happy with this property they will give this to us as we are older costumers. We saw the property, it was better that the others we saw. We said we are happy and he said I'm going straight to the office to inform my team that you will have this property and I will call you back. he called us a few hours to tell us that unfortunately they can't give us this property. In our previous tenancy, they gave us very old photos of the property when we moved in. So when we moved out, they came for the inspection and they held money from the deposit because they said that the photos are different from the property. of course they are different mates, as the photos were at least 10 years old. The wardrobes were broken, the walls had stars and stickers etc from the previous tenants. I don't recommend them as they are not professionals. And the most funny thing was when they saw my 1 star rating and they called my husband to ask him if he can changes my opinion! They didn't realize that I am adult, I have my own opinion and I know when someone is not professional. I am not happy with them so my rating is this and of course I don't change it.... Read more

I stumbled upon this amazing team when I was having difficulty finding a flat after my past landlord decided to sell. It was rather difficult during COVID, and everything seemed out of alignment. At first it was Jack. He showed me the property and made the first part of the process seem smooth and effortless. Kelan stepped in next and called me periodically to ensure things were moving along with referencing and the other red tape required to get the property. Jack and Kelan then worked in tandem and were able to get me the best deal I've ever heard of since I began my search when I was given notice. This deal was more than the price. This deal was how the pricing paymentd worked over the year. Here, I can't fail to mention the landlord and how they actively participated in the process with integrity and professionalism. The landlord kept their word even though things were moving a bit slower than we hoped. Here comes Ella now, whose bubbly and vivacious personality guaranteed I was set at ease with the final bits of closing the lease agreement. I picked up my keys, and not only was I given the verbal assurance that the team is there if I needed them, I was also given a Welcome Box, which included everything from washing pods to chocolate. Sweet!! Finally, after moving in, when I was unsure about whether I had closed the tenancy on my first property correctly, Rachel walked me through my previous lease agreement when I couldn't get hold of the agent for that first agency. She helped me to draft the verbiage for a much needed email to my past landlord who wanted to charge me for regular wear and tear, among other things. She sounded and acted like a lawyer who knows property law. Impressive. This team works as one. Each picks up where the other leaves off. There are no gaps. They do not seem to compete with each other as it seems other agents do at other firms. And I would know. I've called and tried everywhere. The others always had an excuse or clause as to why things can't work, but this team made it work. And in times like these we need people like this team. This review is lengthy, yes; but the manner in which I was helped from beginning to end is more than I could have ever asked for. Coming from a small country where I am not used to the red tape of letting, I was and will remain grateful to them for assisting me to find a nice, homeland modern flat. And to be honest, even if this flat wasn't as lovely, I would have stayed because they have proven to have my best interest at heart. They are a close knit family, one worth becoming a part of. I know where to stay; where to go; where I belong; especially for when I'm ready to buy my home. I'm already there. For Sure. Thanks Guys!!... Read more

Back in 2017 when I went there to check out a flat I was told to fill out the papers and they will do a credit check etc. That time Magda told me - DESPITE I told her in advance that my husband just opened a bank account, his salary came to mine and probably will Not Have a good credit check - that I shouldn’t worry it all have to be good. Believed her... very big mistake! £360 it cost me and she just said she can’t do anything, when she actually COULD! I told her to ask the landlord/lady if she is okay if we pay an extra month of deposit which kindly the landlady did agree and we could move in. So for me to tell an agent that she could have asked the owner about safety deposit is a bit of a joke. I am assuming that having my £360 would be easier without working for it... Then we came to 2020. I asked you in email if you have any two bedroom properties because we had a baby in 2018 and she would need her space. We’ve never had a response. When I phoned them up, the answer was NO, because I was on universal credit. Which I was on already 2 years out of the 3 we lived in the flat and NEVER we’ve had an issue with paying the rent!! Not even late. I thought because we were loyal and responsible, we could have a chance. And we were on benefits because our daughter was born with disability so I had no chance for going back full time. So while I know some landlords may not like ppl with benefits, it is disgusting that THE AGENCY is telling me through phone that it is not the landlord but THEM not accepting ppl with UC. You know, it is a shame because you lost a good tenant. In 3 years we might have 3 things that I called you for(maintenance) and we gave you back the property spotless, cleaned, freshly painted and ready to move in. Even during the years and the days when your agent came to show the flat was keep telling us every single time that the flat looks very nice, excellent condition, despite the boxes because of the moving. I won’t say names, because I think the problem here is the whole agency itself and of course the attitude of some (I am sure it is discrimination that you won’t accept benefits), but please change your attitude and be professional. Wishing you nothing just to put yourself in the parents shoes who had a very sick baby and had enough problem... this was heartless thing to do. And we worked hard to own your trust and respect. What we’ve never got. Other agencies happily accepted us on benefits. To our landlady tho, she is amazing, although we’ve never met and we thank her those 3 years in her flat.... Read more

I called this estate agent and asked them is it still available one property which they adverted , they said yes. I said to them when can I come and view it , he told me I will call you in 1 hour just need to confirm. He called me and he said you can come after a week which it was Monday. When we went there we rang the bell and one guy he open the door and he said this flat has already been let so I don’t know who told you that the flat is for rent. I tried to contact director of this company after 2weeks he get back to me And you know he didn’t even apologise to me , he is very very very unprofessional and rude.
