Oscar’s are amazing I viewed the flat and put all the paperwork in for it and had the acceptance within an hour and the love in date within 4 hours. In the days leading to the move in they was in contact and if I did need to contact them they was nice and friendly and helped as much as possible. The agent Claire who was in contact with me was amazing through out and kept me up to date with everything. I would thoroughly recommend Oscar’s especially after the bad experiences with other estate agents

We recently used Oscars to sell our property and from start to finish they have been brilliant. Alisdair has lots of experience and knowledge of the market and wanted to sell the property for what it was worth coming back with the highest valuation and it sold within 24hrs of listing. Stef handled the process from there and her communication and customer care throughout was brilliant nothing was ever any trouble and she was always very professional and quick to respond to any enquiries. Soon as an historic IVA was mentioned this company black listed us. Refusal to help, understand. Made us feel dirty, or not good enough, when we could more than prove we’ve been good tenants and good more than afford the house. Killed a dream.

My house didn't sell so I have decided to take it off the market for now. Unsure as to why it didn't sell as a great starter house in a good area with garage and front and back garden. Oscars seemed a bit hit and miss with communication and viewings. On one occasion the Estate Agent arrived with viewers but hadn't told me.

So easy dealing with Oscars, the staff are all really friendly, I even got a box full of welcome gifts when I picked the keys up, only been in my property a month as a tenant when I had a problem with the boiler, I called them and they were straight on the phone to the landlord who was then on the phone to the plumber, luckily the boiler sorted itself out so no panick

We haven’t used this estate agents before but I felt they deserved a review because during my whole pregnancy we would see their signs outside of properties and we would also drive passed their office at least twice a week on our journey so we called our son Oscar. Every time we would spot a sign or drive passed the office we would shout Oscar! I’m not sure if there is any meaning to the name Oscar with the estate agent but there is meaning behind my son’s name to the estate agents!

Oscars was my sellers agent and wish I'd thought of them when choosing my agent. In doing the best for their client, they actually superceded all my expectations of an agent and I felt like I was their client.
We were selling 2 houses to fund the purchase and Oscars made sure we knew how both chains were progressing, pretty much giving me weekly updates.
Oscars are extremely thorough and I contacted them ahead of my own agent, as knew they'd be able to answer any queries, or point me in the right direction.
The team are friendly, knowledgeable and never made me feel like I was asking a daft question.

My husband and I have recently been through a purchase with Oscars. We cannot express enough how helpful they have been in liaising with other estate agents to provide us with regular updates on our chain. In comparison to the bigger estate agents in the area, we have had the best customer service experience from them. No inquiry too big or small, we have had rapid responses. The whole team have clearly worked together to ensure the smooth running of our purchase, but we specifically dealt with Nicola, and she was even so kind as to explain emails from solicitors and forward on emails whilst on annual leave. The team have gone above and beyond and we cant thank them enough. I personally wish I had done my research and checked reviews prior to signing contracts. We have bought our forever home, but if anyone asks us for advice, we will be recommending Oscars in the future.

As a first time buyer.With deposit money/mortgage locked in with Halifax.Requested a viewing for a property online/via multiple phone calls.After 6 hours finally got through by phone.All I was met with,was obsessive questions on the sale of my partner's property.After explaining multiple times.That our house would be on the market in days.I was repeatedly told,in an extremely condescending manner.That we were not ready to view the property financially.Even after offering the evaluation appointment to them.They were not at all interested.Bransholme property by the way.How on earth would they know my financial status.Which is excellent.

Where do I start. Nicola Calverley is an absolute credit to Oscars. I have a lot of experience of dealing with Estate Agents, and to be honest accepted as a vendor and a buyer, that service from estate agents in general is not that good. This time as a buyer I was prepared to be unimpressed again, and then along came Nicola. What impressed me most of all was that I felt valued as a buyer which is quite rare in the current market, I usually find that the vendor is more valued in this situation. It was clear from the start that Nicola's experience shone through, she often pre-empted scenarios and situations that arose during the buying process, which gave me the opportunity to get ahead of any problems. Her communication skills are second to none, she pushed both solicitors and was in constant contact with me which was reassuring, and I believe made the whole process easier than normal. Service throughout Oscars was consistent - if Nicola was not in the office anyone of the team could check notes and see where we were in the process. Every member of staff I spoke to was courteous and polite. I will be recommending Nicola and the team to everyone I know for their superior customer service. This is one situation were you get what you pay for, and whether I sell or buy again the future, I will definitely be using this team again.

Appalling how you can lose your deposit if you decide to live on Derringham court flats. I have been charged for a door I have never used it to hanging coat hangers. I purchased a house through Oscars during the Covid-19 outbreak, and at times I thought it was going to fall through due to the incredibly difficult situation we found ourselves in. It literally took months.
However, the hard work and persistence of Nicola and Jenny in dealing with the lender and both sets of solicitors, and tirelessly chasing things up for me was one of the main reasons the sale finally went through.

Purchased property via Oscars as the Estate Agent, and the entire process was conducted in a extremely professional and friendly manner by the staff at Oscars Anlaby Common.
Particular thanks to Andre Gell for the initial viewing and subsequent contacts, and to Jenny Catchpole, for the regular updates she provided us, all with no prompting on our part. It was very refreshing and a, in our experience, greatly assisted and mitigated, the normally onerous house moving process.

What a fantastic team at Oscar's. We found a buyer privately but we asked Oscars to deal with the legal and document side of it whilst also purchasing through Oscars. We could not be happier with the service we received for buying and selling. We were kept up to date with everything, everything was professional but friendly, they took the time to even help chase things which was not down to them but down to other professionals dealing with the sale and purchase. Although they helped us find our perfrct home so we will not be moving anytime soon I would defiantly recommend them and use them again if we needed to.

I have just sold two rental properties. The first one was sold through Purple Bricks and the second through Oscar Estate agents. Purple Bricks did a decent job but be aware of the extra costs. If don't pay up front you are obliged to use their solicitors. It is an extra cost if you want them to supervise the viewing. You also get no refund if you take the property off the market. If the property does not sell then you have to pay again. So be aware. Oscar's on the other hand there is no sale no fee. They do all the viewings at no extra cost. No paying up front and no pressure to use their preferred solicitors. Oscar's telephoned me every couple of weeks even if there was nothing to tell me so if they did have a communication problem as stated in a previous review they have obviously taken note and overcome the problem. They gave me excellent service at a very good price. I will use them again in the future.

We recently bought our house through Oscars, the service we received was fantastic, always kept up to date with progress, lots of advice given to us as inexperienced buyers. We found a buyer for our home privately but was glad we asked Oscars to deal with the official side of our sale too. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Very, very poor!!! Took time of work For a viewing. Waited and waited with no show, rang the office to which was told it had been cancelled!!! And no one had bother to ring me. Very unprofessional.
It is not true you rang me to confirm it had been cancelled. Incompetent on this occasion!

Rubbish letting agent doesn't do repairs. The girl on reception has no manners talks down to everyone really rude Warning to you all my daughter was renting a house with them for 3 years Oscars let her live in a disgusting house which needed lots of repairs. No smoke alarm we was always asking them to mend doors. The windows had big gaps. door never locked. Mice every where. Kitchen falling to bits. 500 pound a month she paid with 4 children under 6. And she worked.. Disgusting letting agent not helpful the girl who answers the phone thinks she's the manager she's a complete joke. .

Visited estate agents and went into oscars to speak personally to them, they said they had nothing for us to view the week we were down visiting but had one the following week so we arranged a time to view. The next week we travelled down from Scotland to view house, sat outside the property waiting for agent no one turned up, noticed sign outside property said it was gone so we rang up and they had no recolection of appointment and every dealing we have had since has been messed up. They just didnt seem to give a damn.

They continually advertise property that is not yet available so there is so such thing as being in a queue. Once ready several people view so those on any kind of benefit do not stand a chance. Really disheartened by these people.

I moved in to a house at 12 Weeks pregnant damp started showing after a month of been in the house now im 35 weeks pregnant and it still isn't sorted its no place for a newborn baby. Staff say they will ring you back and they don't, there not bothered about customers welfare at all !!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely shocking. My five year old son could organise things better than this company. Booked a viewing for a property.
We have waited at the house for an hour and no one turned up from Oscars.
We gave them another chance and rang for a viewing a few weeks ago. They told us the house were interested in currently has a tennent but is coming up for rent in a month and we'll ring you when it's available. TWO weeks later we rang back to see what was going only to be told they have accepted an application from someone else..
No respect for any of their customers and customer service is shocking..
