A huge thank you, and recognition given to Abby. Her patience and knowledge were great assets in her sales pitch. She took the time to print out information so that the visually impaired lady I care for, was able to be involved in the process. When we attended a viewing she escorted us around the property, pointing out features that may have gone unnoticed otherwise. This is in contrast to other viewings we have attended recently, where we are left to walk around the property, we prefer being guided and feel a more hands on approach is better, in our opinion. Aby is highly recommended by us for her approach to customer service. 5*

I believe that we can all agree that the process of relocating and finding a new place to call home is stressful, time-consuming and tiring. But fortunately, it doesn't always have to be that way. Especially when you are being guided by a skilled Estate Agent.
My experience with finding and securing a home that met my wants, needs, and everything in between through this company has been excellent, and I cannot thank Abigail Clark (aka Abbie) enough for her time and assistance from start to finish.

Lucy was very professional when coming to value the house and explained the process to us and how everything would be done. I have a property that I let in South Cave, I had it on Rightmove but it had received little interest, I really needed an injection of activity, Lily Telford called from WH Brown & I was really impressed by her positive attitude. Lily set to work calling all of her clients that she thought would be interested in my property, she kept me up to date on a daily basis & organised various viewings. To Lily's credit she restored my faith in estate agents with her hard work & excellent customer service. Lily will be a huge asset for WH Brown, in a sector that has a poor reputation for customer satisfaction Lily will provide a positive reflection.

My house was over valued by at least 10 thousand and now I’ve ended up with a bigger mortgage than I expected to have to get from the bank.
The bank sent a surveyor on behalf of the person who want to by my house and that’s how I found out my property was only worth 140 thousand not 150-160 thousand.
I think £1800 for a brochure was expensive as I did all the viewings myself and I feel like I’ve payed a agent this money to get me 10 thousand pounds less for my house.

They organised a time to show us around a property, but they told us they're not sure if they have staff. They said they'd ring us back. They didn't. We called back on the day we arrange and was told we wouldn't be shown around today, but that they would call us back to arrange. Again, they never.

Although sometimes a little slow returning calls, in general I found the team polite, friendly and professional. Savanna in particular was very good and 'on the ball' when obtaining and relaying information when the sale of our property stalled due to frequent and unnecessary stalling further down the chain. We would like to thank the Nina and the team at the willerby branch, who were very supportive, knowledgeable and maintained communication throughout the process of buying a new house.
Having started the process prior to the pandemic and first lock down communication was maintained throughout even though the first property fell through and back to the drawing board we went with the help of Nina who know what property we wanted, and after the testing times we have now began to settle into our new house and relax - which after living with packing boxes around you for months due to the uncertainty is a real bonus.
We cannot thank them enough for their support during these very testing times, and no question was a silly question (which was a relief) support via telephone calls which sometimes after hours were and are appreciated.

We put our property on the market through Willerby branch. We are very disappointed with their performance. They are just messengers between seller and (potential) buyers and do not do any effort to "negotiate" which is a part of their job. They told us as if they are the best agents and explained how they deal with the property selling at the first meeting, however they refused to do any of them in the real negotiations. They are lack of the professional knowledge and not reliable. We would definitely NOT recommend them.

The Willerby office was acting for the vendor of a property that my wife and I have just purchased, so not contracted to us directly. Our overall opinion was that they fell well short of a service and advice to our aged vendor which would have helped smooth the process, and some of the comments made were downright unprofessional. There was a "ray of sunshine" however in Amber who, whenever we were speaking to or meeting with her, took a professional approach to the process of enabling the sale & purchase of our new house, but was pleasant, personable and enthusiastic - taking the trouble to "get on our wavelength" and understand our difficulties.

I Booked a viewing for a property in little Weighton and the estate agent did not turn up. When we rang they said they had gotten lost and ended up in Beverely. We said we would wait for them to come but the agent went back to the office because her satnav wouldn't work. This led girlfriend developing hypoglycemic rage whilst we waited and ruined my Friday night. Overall very poor service and I hope future viewings are better.

This time last year my house sale fell through which meant I lost the house I was due to buy, I lost a substantial amount of money for photos for press pack (which should be free) surveys and solicitors upfront payments as recommend by Browns. So soon as I was out of contract I got rid of them otherwise would have been charged a fee. I went locally to a family firm who have sold my house and helped me to purchase my new one within 8 weeks, no hassle no excuses just doing what a good estate agent should do.

I am a landlady and I would never entrust my properties to this agency! With this agency you just lose time and incomes from your property. I was looking for a property to rent in Cottingham and surronding area, and a I found, on rightmove, a nice a property managed from W.H.B. The price was quite high from the standard in that area, but for me wasn't a problem. I wasn't in Hull, so, without any viewing, I asked to have some more information about the property(updated photo and some details) plus the instructions to rent that property if I am not able to be there in person. I never received any info I required about the property, but to avoid loosing the deal, I filled the tenant application form anyway. They asked me to go to a specific estate agency in my area for the identification and I followed all their istructions step by step. After 15 days they said they still need identification (!!?? bad comunicator among: Touchstone - agent - client).. I started to be not happy about the service, but I decided to go to Willerby for a couple of days to fix all the issues anyway. We informed to the agency we were arriving in Hull, but, due the traffic and bad weather, wasn't easy to view the property the same day... infact we arrange the viewing the day after. The agent arrived with wrong key and wanted to show us a similar property adjacent to the one we were interested in (and already rented). Obviosly after 600 km we wanted to see the property where we would have move in, not a similar one! She started to be upset and said she had to rearrange a viewing and the first day available would have been the next week! We were shocked and understandably annoyed from that unprofessional behavior. For me the deal was gone, but my partner tried to insist to rearrange the viewing for the next day (saturday), but the agent was visibly upset. We easly found another solution with a good agency the same day. That property is still on the market. We spoke about this to some of my partner'colleagues and they said that this agency's bad reputation is already known, and from the reviews I am reading online it's true. it's unbelievable how they created problems on problems with an easy deal: one nice and rentable property and a potential tenant fully referenced!
