Recently rented a flat through Parkes Estate Agents and was very impressed with their service and the flat I got. Right from the get-go, they were very quick to respond to my viewing request, which was much appreciated as I had to fly out later that week. Despite the quick turnaround on the rental, they were on top of everything, including spotting and helping out with any appliances or fixtures that needed to be fixed.
My agent, Alex, was really easy to reach whenever I had any questions or concerns - overall he was super helpful, understanding and approachable (even offering me a hand to help me move my stuff in!).

The letting service Park Estates was unbelievably poor. Two months after my current tenants moved in, the team still have not produced me an updated check in report for my tenant to sign. The property management team is dreadful, often sending contractors to my flat without my consent at all. There was no report and update for any work they do in my property. When you call them for an update for check in or check out report (from previous tenant who moved out 3 months ago) via email or phone call, they either do not reply or kept giving me false promises. It took their accounts 2 months to refund me the extra day rent and key replacement fee from my previous tenant! It's ridiculous poor service. Bear in mind when they deduct the management fee from you, that was done promptly with hidden charges which I was never acknowledged at the first place. Nobody takes responsibility for the mistake they made for my check out report and the delay of the check in report. There is absolutely no excuse that Park Estates not being able to produce an updated check in report 2 months after my tenants moved in. What worst is nobody take their mistake accountable! There is only words, no action to delivery a proper service! The amount of time I have been chasing them for the check in report is probably more than I manging the property myself! The amount of time I spent and the stress of dealing with incompetent unprofessional service beyond words.

Chantelle was so helpful during the entire process of helping us rent. Extremely friendly and personable during our initial viewing and really responsive with all of our questions. She was really flexible with a follow up viewing at very short notice, and was genuine and authentic when providing us with the details of the property. After the contract was signed Chantelle made sure the apartment was clean and ready for us to move in, proactively arranging for a handyman to come and look at a slightly stiff door. All of Chantelle’s little touches made all the difference with helping us feel settled from day one, providing a much better experience for us than our previous moving experiences in the city. ABSOLUTE WORST agency/agents.BE AWARE.Highly unprofessional.
-Flat was advertised as 'furnished' or 'unfurnished'/agent James (most unprofessional).He pushed b4 viewing 2have deposit & as my daughter had an extremely busy day at work,she made the offer,requested the unit 2b unfurnished,specified her move date June 29. Was accepted by landlord (according 2agent) she paid deposit immediately.
-Viewing done next day(June 16),she filled out applications online,submitted,provided all necessaries for reference check.Keep in mind she has already paid the deposit.
-James,sat & sat on all,not replying 2any emails,whatsapp,phone calls 2update on progress(cleaning,furniture removal). He DID NOT SUBMIT the references for TWO WEEKS.
-Meanwhile,my daughter booked movers,paid them,proceeded on packing her entire flat. After 2weeks of chasing James,he finally replies 2say the bed &dining set will have to stay in flat!Landlord doesn't want them removed!This immediately showed that James hadn't even given the landlord the preference &now is trying 2cover himself. She told him, "ABSOLUTELY NOT, u advertised flat can be unfurnished.It was agreed.They must be removed"
To this James said:'can you find a storage for us?! As if that's her responsibility! Nonetheless, she kindly researched (James' job) and gave him a storage unit literally next door 2the bldg.He didn't bother acknowledging it.
-Two days before move,as she was getting nervous due to Agent's complete lack of communication, she found another person named Karen @the agency who seemed shocked my daughter had been asked 2find a storage, given that their company had their own storage unit she said, so why wld James ask for one?? Karen promised my daughter she would take care of everything.
-Next day Karen called to say "ur reference was just put thru on Monday but still hasn't come thru, I'm going to 'help' you get it done. "Of course it hasn't come thru from HR bcoz ur company has only submitted it on Monday & today is Tuesday. My move is on Wednesday. Clearly it will take longer than a day. Yet James has had entire reference application for more than 2 WEEKS. So don't blame me for the reference not coming thru yet if you guys sat on it."
-ONE DAY BEFORE MOVE DAY-they call her 2say the current tenant won't be moving out for another 3 weeks.Move can't happen 2morrow!
-At this point,I get involved (I live in a different country) &get a hold of their boss.A man named Malik.He(at first)seemed quite interested stating he didn't know,even though my daughter had written 2him a detailed email the day before expressing her frustrations with James & how unprofessionally he is handling this move.Malik said he will find a solution.
-Later,solution given was 4my daughter 2live in a temporary unit(for a fee), agency will cover the cost of the 2nd move once she moves again in 3 weeks. I asked him 2send me unit details & if it was acceptable, although very inconvenient, but ok.
-Turned out Malik wanted my daughter 2stay in a furnished hotel room type 197 sqf,where there wld be absolutely no room 2store her bed,dining room set &all her boxes.So a Storage unit had to be attained for 3 weeks.Told Malik that my daughter needs an unfurnished unit big enough to fit all her belongings or they pay for storage.
-From here,Malik ghosted me (very professional) &sent Karen 2communicate with me.Now this is the best part.Karen's task was to BLAME my daughter for not having her references!!Finally I lost it & told them 2expect a very detailed google review on how this company operates.The only thing we asked was 2pay her deposit back (they did) & pay for 1 of her moves as promised.My daughter now has 2go thru stress of finding a new place in a day!While putting all her belonging in storage (£240/m) &pay movers twice (£190 each time).Rightfully is asking at very least cover cost of 1 of the moves.They refused bcoz(and pls listen to the excuse):we won't cover the cost of her move bcoz she is not letting a unit from us anymore!

Parkes are the worst I've ever experienced! Can't believe the other google reviews are real. After we agreed the deal in june, I was contacted by a lady who rudely said apparently I'm not the only person who works and should always answer the phone because she does. Unbelievably rude spoke over my husnabd and argued with us about a broken boiler??? Couldn't believe it. They said they're not the landlord...I assume they don't care about usanymore. Worst letting agent ever to deal with complaints and inspections. That's a shame because I was initially impressed with the letting agent's enthusiasm for our custom. Steer clear.

I recently had a very frustrating experience. After half a month of identity verification and various checks, just one hour after signing the contract and prepaying six months' rent, I was informed that the landlord refused to proceed with the contract. This caused me significant losses without any valid reason, and there wasn't even a formal email notification. A person named Sanna conveyed this news in a very indifferent manner, stating that she was only responsible for conveying the landlord's decision. I explained to her that the contract is binding on both parties, the landlord had accepted my offer, and I had already made the payment. The landlord's actions constituted a breach, and I should be compensated, but she stated that there would be no compensation. I do not know the reason for my rejection, as all my information had been verified by a third-party agency. The only dispute I had was with my current landlord and the agency due to them concealing external wall repairs at my previous apartment, which caused significant noise and distress to my 9-year-old child, who is on the autism spectrum. We were victims in this situation, and after communicating these issues to the agency, they informed me that the landlord had rejected me. This made me feel terrible, and I cannot confirm whether this agency or the landlord engaged in discriminatory behavior towards disabled children.
Additionally, this agency was aware that I have two children, one aged 9 and the other aged 4. When they found out we were moving to a quiet new apartment, my 9-year-old child independently packed all his toys, which is no small feat for a high-functioning autistic child. However, when I had to tell him this frustrating news yesterday, he was extremely upset. He looked at the toys he had packed for so long and cried very sadly. He asked me, "Mom, why do they have to lie to us?" I could only comfort him. This moment made me feel the overwhelming pressure of life, with such irresponsible institutions and landlords lacking integrity.
Afterward, I read reviews of this agency and found that 2-3 other people had similar experiences to mine. However, I must say that Jonas's service attitude was very warm, and he is an excellent agent, but the professionalism of this agency is questionable.

I would say the service which I have received from Parkes Estate till date is absolutely amazing and I enjoy to work with them. Been in the property industry myself I know how challenging the market is with all big players in the field. Malik the Director is always very responsive to all my emails, calls and whatsapp messages - he would respond promptly despite that the nature of his job means he is often driving and taking people out on viewings. He has been always polite, kind and helpful throughout. Some of my clients were from overseas and their queries were during unsocial hours, instead he genuinely helped speed up the transaction and dealt with queries for us. not only that, he translated all details in the language my clients could understand to make it simple. My initial viewing time was 6:15pm but it was changed to 5:45pm which I was happy with that and was waiting nearby that time. Around 4:45 received call from guy name - Malik; that he is running late and stuck in very bad traffic because he was coming from London! He said he will be there around 6:45pm, I asked him to give me call nearby time. He called me around 6:40 and said he will be there in 5-10min. Immediately I was on my way and it took me around 25min to reach there. There was no show of him, after 10min of waiting I called him and asked how far is he. He replied he left already and went to motorway (took M1)!!! He was waiting nearly 30min for me, he tried to call me but some reason didn't go through!!
What type of professionalism is this? They apologised for that and blaming traffic :-)

In July 2021, three of my roommates and I have rented an apartment through Parkes Estates. We are graduate students from a reputable university with no prior issues with renting. Throught the process, we have paid every deposit, provided every reference and even paid our rent earlier than originally needed following requests from Parkes containing the words "ASAP" quite often. Three days into our running contract, we were informed that we cannot move into the apartment (for which we have paid about 25000 GBP) and that the contract is to be cancelled immediately as the building does not want students living there. Although the very first thing Parkes did was to offer our money back, they did eventually make effort to find us another property, which was not finalised either. As a result, we had to rent with a different agency 2 days before the actual move in date and had to pull extra resources to pay, as some of the original money prepared for our rent was still held as a deposit and took a week to get back. If I skip the fact that the process was messy from the start and unprofessionally handled, it also cost us a lot of time and moreover stress. I understand this situation might have been unexpected for Parkes, but I expect a letting agency to do their homework and job well enough for me to trust them. Parkes did not earn that trust.

I have rented my new apartment through Parkes Estate Agents. They helped me to find an apartment which matched all my boxed.
The team is really helpful and from the first contact to the signed tenancy agreement it took only 5 days. such a short timescale was really important for me. Would definitely recommend Parkes Estate Agents, 5 star service provided

I have rented the flat through Parkes Estate Agents in the beginning of the April. And I am very pleased with the service. Due to the lockdown to move flat was a lot more stressful, but their team gone far beyond just letting flat for me. They done a video tour for me, were answering all questions to make me feel confident. And supporting me on every step. They even found for me reliable removal company (Every one I call refused to work until lockdown is lifted) I understand that it is not the best time...
Within 3 days they finished all references and I signed my tenancy agreement. I am very happy with my new flat and service provided by the team. Well done guys ????

After recent bad experiences with other letting agents I was relieved to have ended up with Parkes estates, specifically Malik he was honest and made the whole process smooth.
The flat was clean and well kept, which made the rest of my trip a lot easier.

I have been in London for 4 years now, and Parkes Estate Agents is the best agency i dealt with by far. I reviewed a flat in earls court with their agent Olha that was so helpful and kind, and till now she answers any queries or problems i have in the flat immediately. highly recommended easy to deal with.

Milan Ehrhardt totally wasted my time and left me with a disgraceful experience. He was 40 minutes late, didn’t have the right key, and then didn’t send the photos I had requested or reschedule as I had requested. All over experience was lame.
If I were a landlord looking to rent with this company I would encourage you to think twice as the agent clearly don’t care to do their job.
