However, my positive experience with Benham and Reeves was most definitely worth sharing after finding my ideal flat in London. I was very stressed with finding the perfect apartment and signing before Christmas time, and Rubel was incredible in finalizing the deal with all conditions I was keen on, both price wise and additional requirements such as cosmetic repairs and additional furniture. The flat is exactly what I wanted, Rubel also managed to get the deal for the whole apartment to be repainted, for additional furniture to be bought and assembled before my moving date. He was extremely professional in managing communication at any point of day and conveying all updates on the negotiation completely honestly and putting his very best into getting exactly what I was after. I have been a client of Benham and Reeves since 2003 and the service has not always been satisfactory. When our flat came up for letting last month, Brett Boyd, the manager, contacted me. I found him not only professional, but also extremely helpful. He kept me informed about viewings and ensured that the period the flat remained empty was minimal. The contract paperwork was dealt with expeditiously by Veronica. Brett also helped deal and resolve some of the issues raised by the new tenants. The check-in is managed by the agency below the apartment. When checking in, a female employee called Xenia showed us upstairs. I asked her whether we could get a second set of keys to which she replied that she'd go downstairs and call the person I had been whatsapping with. We were in a rush so I ordered a cab to pick us up 10 minutes later. When she didn't come back up after 10 minutes, I went downstairs and she was chatting on the phone. I waited another 2 minutes and then gestured to her that we'd have to leave. She impatiently put the hand over the phone and asked me what I wanted. I asked her whether she'd reached the person to ask about the keys. She responded "In case you can't tell I'm on the phone right now". I said that there was no need to be rude to which she responded "You're being rude actually". I don't know how this business is still in operation given that the nature of business requires their employees to be in customer-facing roles a lot of the time.... Read more
