Having just accepted an offer on our home I contacted Julian Buckenham earlier today with regard to a property which was for sale through their agency and which we had been interested in for quite some time. I have never come across such a helpful agent! Very professional and efficient young man. Nothing was any trouble. Within a short few hours this afternoon we had received our offer, offered on the property in question and Julian saw to it that we were successful in having our offer accepted! Everything necessary that he needed from us was explained and sent promptly to us allowing us to wrap that part up just in time before the weekend closure. Can't thank this young man enough! Highly recommend this agency and this young man!

Absolutely abysmal service and giving 1 star is generous!
After 9 weeks with absolutely no interest, we took my father’s property off the market last Friday.
At no point in the 9 weeks was the property advertised on social media - bar the rightmove listing- nothing on insta or facebook. Updates were minimal - a total of 3 calls in 9 weeks. We were also told that Easter is a quiet time for selling houses & would hopefully pick up after.
It was only upon requesting the house be removed from the market that feedback and ‘advice’ was given- a few comments on the decor and driveway. The listing description was inaccurate in a number of respects, lacking key information, missing dimensions of some rooms, left out an additional garage in the garden, the photos were poor and the floor plan only added after it had been up 2 weeks.
This agent did literally nothing beyond a mediocre (at best) description, a few photos and posting on Rightmove.

During my search for a property, which took over a year, I dealt with many estate agents, from average to absolutely dreadful. What a refreshing change to find one who were helpful, friendly, didn't waste my time, were honest and focused on the satisfaction of both the seller and the buyer. Cheryl frequently knew more about where the sale was than my solicitor and did everything within her power to keep everything moving along. They were happy to work with me to provide access for surveyor and myself when I wanted to measure up before completion and I never felt that anything was too much bother for them. They truly are an example of how all estate agents should operate and made, what can be a very fraught time, an easy experience.... Thank you Cheryl!

I've only experienced the auction side of the business. The team is friendly and helpful upon collection. However, my auction purchases have been mis-described a couple of times leading to disappointment upon collection. Viewing ahead of time is essential as unfortunately the item descriptions are not accurate, particularly in relation to item ages.

I contacted the lettings department to ask them to manage a property we own in Market Rasen. I left all the details with them about the property etc and left it with them to contact our tenant to make all the necessary arrangements to take it over. Over a month has passed how and I have now contacted Perkins George Mawer 3 times to be told someone will ring me back and then never does! If they don’t want my business then I wish I was told from the outset instead of wasting my time for over a month!

Went to view a property through perkins who must use a Potato camera to photo there clients houses cause the house didn't look half as good in the photos needed hell of touch work considering the Exspensive rent! And approved our application to only go and listen to Chinese whispers so I'm disappointed and we will be trying to take it further hopefully ????

Rented a 2 bed for 6 months. Leaks, damp, broken heating, couple structural issues. Weeks between replies. Landlady didn't want to fix anything. Told to find a newer property. Overal very poor service. But polite when got hold of them.

Reading opinions about your Agency, I feel definitely better because I already thought that I was something wrong and yet 30 percent of those who comment here have the same or similar opinion as me. If 3 people out of 10 trying to deal with you are dissatisfied then you have a serious problem. it is also easy to notice that 90 percent of positive comments relate to the sale of clients' property, which testifies to your attitude on money, and not to the reliable harassment of each client.
I tried to rent the flat 3 times and was disregarded 3 times. For the first time I met such poor service. You are not worth recommending. I warn others not to waste my time. Of course, to be fair I do not claim that this must be the case in every case, however, my experience says that you are focused on high profit and you don't care about a small customer.

I love the house, and they have always been helpful if any issues have arisen, making sure work required is completed quickly and with minimum disruption to my life. Having seen the trouble and problems friends have encountered when renting through other local agencies, I know that I definitely made the right choice using PGM & Co

Polite, with a great selection of properties but difficult to get information from and arrangements confirmed .
Also allowed a landlord to prioritise other people's application over mine, due to my age (I'm 26 and earn a great salary...), without checking any references. When confronted with the fact that this was wrong and illegal, they began backtracking, so I pulled my application out due to this discrimination.

I and my family have had dealings with Perkins George Mawer for decades in Sales, Lettings Auctions and Agricultural departments and I was horrified to read what has been has been previously written, I think they should have taken their discrepancies up with the branch rather than insult a decent loyal person for all and sundry to see!! Mr Perkins has several letters after his name for his years of hard work he has got to be in his 70’s but is still an active member of the company, and I know for a fact that most of his staff are fully qualified for their job roles, I would like to see if this applies to other estate agents and letting agents.
Whenever I have used the company for their services I have always had professional and sound advice, in fact I would go as far as saying they have gone above and beyond to help in difficult times.

Yet another poor interaction with this company. This time it will be our last I encourage those reading this to find and use someone else. My parents knew Mike (owner) when he was an honest man and now the company he represents is just corrupt and full of woefully under trained employees. Really disappointing that while the rest of the high street suffers this place seems to thrive!

Rude and unwelcoming. My wife and I were spoken to as if we were not spending enough (about £325k) and were far beneath the horrid woman (Melissa) that we had the displeasure of dealing with. If this the calibre of the staff there is little wonder the Perkins name locally is mud! We have recently bought a house and it certainly was not through these lot!

Our property was badly damaged two or three days before the sale was due to go through last November,and the prospective purchaser understandably withdrew.
As a couple in our 70s living in Oxfordshire,with an empty and uninhabitable property many miles away, and needing to replace all gas piping, the boiler, electrical installations ,do roof work and decoration to make the property marketable again, we would never have been able to achieve last weeks successful sale without the tireless help of the sales team,advising us on contractors,checking the property and generally going well beyond what would normally be expected of any estate agent.

After my late father passed away, and living hundreds of miles away, I felt it was important to have a local estate agent to handle selling the property. I could have easily used one of the online hybrid agents, but felt someone local with the knweledge and back up was important.
I can’t soeak highly enough, right from the word go, to negotiating the right price, they were fantastic to deal with.
I accept you may pay a little more, but I believe in you getcwjat you pay for and the selling costs were competitive to start with. It is refreshing in the world of web culture to deal with people and long may it continue.

Where to start. I don’t have enough characters for me to type.. in order to desribe how bad these estate agents are! If anything I feel sorry for the landlords who let these baboons manage their properties. I’d go as far as saying a baboon would be more efficient.
My son was wanting to rent out a 1 bed place. After ongoing back and forth talking to the agents, they were simply unwilling to arrange a simple viewing. Short answers of, “we can’t get someone to come and show you around, can you come back next week”. So whoever owns Willinham Road, and any 1 or 2 bed flat that is managed by these people. He wanted to possibly rent your place, but simply couldn’t! Steer clear from these rude and arrogant people.

Bunch of crooks! Arrogant and up themselves. We have previously bought farm land through them and now don't entertain land that's for sale with them! Our latest development property was advertised with them in order for us to buy it we insisted the seller switched Estate Agents. We closed the sale a few weeks ago with no issues. - My advice, use ANYONE else!

Arrogant and unprofessional. Having had contact on several occasions, each time has been a disappointment, both as a vendor and buyer. They inevitably overprice to a considerable degree, leaving properties on the market for a long time and forcing large reductions, both of which put buyers off. As a buyer, they are not interested. Ironically, we were told that they prefer to please the vendor, which is sort of fair enough, albeit an amateurish approach to a complex negotiation. On that basis, we were particularly galled to find that our interest had not even been put to one vendor, potentially costing them tens of thousands of pounds when they accepted a lower offer, which they also failed to make us aware of. The best that I can say is that they are incompetent to operate. Please steer clear of this exceptionally low quality agency. There are far, far better ones out there.
